    6 years later and the game still barely functions on Xbox with no improvements on the PC release, only more game breaking issues. Terrible ports to both the Xbox One and PC. 343 Industries has proven time and time again that they do not care about Halo or its fans. There is no love from the Halo community towards 343 as a company or the designers and developers they employ.

    Bueno la verdad soy de Xbox pero la saga halo nunca me llamó la atención le voy a castigar un poco porque xbox ya abusa de los shooters la verdad,a mí personalmente el juego se me hace pesado ya

    Halo TMCC es una gran entrega estan 4 todo en uno todo mejorado, optimizado, remasterizado, es lo mejor ahora se puede disfrutar con gran experiencia de Halo TMCC excelente juego!. Y no estoy de acuerdo con 85 me parece sospechoso el juego deberia tener buena nota no 85

    Had a really rough start during the beginning of its life but nowadays it's a really great package full of Blockbuster titles and tons of features and content it took a long time but 343 finally got this game back on track it's literally one of the best packages you can buy.

    The problems with multiplayer definitely hurt this game and left me a little bitter towards it, but at least the re-released campaigns made it worth the purchase.

    This game had an extremely rough start, but it is now in a very enjoyable state, and even after H5 drops, I will continue to play MCC for a long time. I can only hope that 343 doesn't forget about it and continues to improve it, and begins supporting community forge creations as well. H2a is BEAUTIFUL, and is honestly worth the 60$ by itself.

    The best thing of MCC is that it contains the 10th anniversary edition of "Halo 2" as well as graphically updated versions of "Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary", "Halo 3" and "Halo 4". A visually enhanced "Halo 3: ODST" was also added to it months after launch. The fact that every map and mode ever made for the franchise are available to play online is also great. Add the Forge tools,The best thing of MCC is that it contains the 10th anniversary edition of "Halo 2" as well as graphically updated versions of "Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary", "Halo 3" and "Halo 4". A visually enhanced "Halo 3: ODST" was also added to it months after launch. The fact that every map and mode ever made for the franchise are available to play online is also great. Add the Forge tools, developer videos and the "Halo: Nightfall" series and you have a title that should be in every XBOX ONE owner's collection. Sadly, the game had many issues with matchmaking and other online issues that made the multiplayer portion almost unplayable. 343 Industries had to continually update the game for months before it seemed to improve. Despite the gargantuan amount of content available on one disc, these technical problems keep it from being a truly great compilation. Without them, I would easily rank "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" with a 9 or even higher. With them, I'd have to rank the game with an 8.5 out of 10 because quality counts just as much as quantity.… Expand

    A fantastic remaster by 343i, exactly what the gamers want! There's so much great value in this collection even if you've played all of the games before. I've finished all the Halo games multiple times as they have come out over the years and it's great to have them all in one collection.

    At first i was soooo mad about all the bugs. As we all had a right to be. But spending some lengthy time on the game now has really shown how much 343 worked to get things going. Best game i ever bought. All my favorites in one and now that the bugs are mostly gone im in heaven like i was supposed to be.

    I'll be honest, I wasn't exactly sure how I was gonna properly dissect this collection. When I first got my Xbox One back in 2015, it came with a download code for this collection and, having not played the "Halo" games at the time, I was admittedly pretty excited to see what I had been missing. And while the collection didn't turn me into the biggest, most hardcore "Halo" fan on the planet, I do very much enjoy the series based on what I've played. But the collection itself is a bit hard for me to dissect: as great as it's been getting to experience what I've been missing and play the campaigns of these four great games, I feel like the excitement for the collection itself was bogged down by the hideous, bug-riddled launch and the fact that there still seems to be some problems with it. Bearing that in mind, would I still recommend "Halo: The Master Chief Collection?" Well, yeah, I would!
    For the sheer fact that this collection bundles four great to excellent titles, "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" is already an enticing product. Adding the fact that the "Halo 2" featured on this collection is an improved "Anniversary" edition of the game, and that only adds to the excitement. Each game still plays extremely well and hold up excellently on the Xbox One, and being able to play them all at a smooth 60 FPS with improved visuals just makes them that much nicer. The collection is also loaded to the brim with content, and with the fact that you'll be able to add "Halo 3: ODST" and "Halo Reach" to the collection as well just adds even more to what's an already gigantic package.
    On the downside, though, I don't know if I can say in good conscience that the collection is absolute perfection given that the game still appear to have several bugs and glitches rearing their ugly head every once in a while, and while I appreciate that 343's continued to support and improve the collection, it feels a bit confusing that they've been supporting it this long and it still has issues. Also, I'm still a bit unsure of whether I feel the collection does enough for players who already own the "Halo" games. Yes, it has "Halo 2 Anniversary" exclusive to it, but I feel like it doesn't quite scream "essential" unless you never experienced the series before this (like I did).
    Even so, flaws and all, "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" is a massive collection of some pretty great games, and it's definitely impressive to see how far it's come since the ugly launch back in 2014. Sure, there's still some issues, and it may not be the best for people that have already played the hell out of the games back in the day, but if you're looking to get into the "Halo" series, there's no better place to start than right here.

    4 of the best games ever (with a couple coming later) , all the multiplayer, remade cut scenes and remastered to 4k, this is a must have collection for everyone owning a xbox.

    There isnt a lot to be said here, the game came out with some multi player bugs but by the time Im reviewing it they have been ironed out.

    The value is so much its a undeniable 10.

    Pacote excelente, muito bem trabalhado , uma excelente quantidade de conteúdo, a opção de alternar entre a versão normal e a remaster em alguns títulos é bem interessante. Recomendado tanto para aqueles que nunca jogaram um game da franquia para aqueles que já são fá de longa data.

    Best Xbox One game yet, better than any Playstation exclusive, best content, best value. Contains 4 of the greatest games ever made, one of them being Halo 2, which is the best game known to mankind, but now it has remastered graphics, remastered dialogue, remastered sound effects, remastered cutscenes, and a remastered soundtrack. 11/10, GOD, DANG, AMAZING

    But besides that, a great package. It let's you play every Halo game (almost), and how can one not enjoy that?

This is an obvious 10/10 if you are a Halo fan. 4 legendary games in 1 disc, all 4 campaigns and being able to play matchmaking for all the 4 Halo games now that they fixed the matchmaking. Halo 2 remastered with amazing graphics and BEAUTIFUL cut scenes! If you are a fan of the Halo franchise this is a must own.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. as much as i loved the halo universe.... i cant give this anything higher then a 7....
    Pros: 4 GAMES..... FOUR GAMES...... you get every single map in all of the 4 games on a single CD and you can forge them all... i havent heard of any map pack DLC.... i do appreciate the storyline of every single halo up to HALO 4.... but at that point they screwed up...... i wont spoil it....
    cons: matchmaking is no longer about skill...... it is all about who is better to manipulate the lag, and who can use the Battle rifle better..... i havent been in a single game where the BR wasnt a mandatory choice...... then i will be playing and standing on my own little corner..... when i get head shot from NOWHERE.... i've saved the video and sent it to bungie and 343.... so i hope they will get on it and fix it......
    the infected isnt anything we are used to.... they removed the possibility of our creating our own epic infection maps...
    neutral: i havent actually gotten to play any of the campaigns yet, so i cant say anything about them, i didnt really use the forge system except to try to remake my favorite map on HALO 3, called "castle in the sky" infection... which failed horribly...... if they fix any of these issues in HALO 5 i will be relieved....

    halo was the game that got me in love with XBOX, and personally... the master chief collection combined with HALO 4, has made me seriously question my affection with both xbox AND halo....    … Expand

    Halo 2 Anniversary was the main selling point of the MC collection and I wasn't disappointed like Halo CE it looks gorgeous, sounds brilliant and plays like a wet dream (sorry for that) it was buggy from time to time though with enemies spazing out from time to time. (8/10)
    Halo 3 also got the remastered treatment, not as much as Halo 2 as the graphics already looked good for its time but what they did was change the lighting to better bring out the colours, it was weird that the sequel looked worse than the previous instalment graphically but it doesn't bother me much, Halo 3 still remains the crown jewel of the MC collection. (10/10)
    Halo 3: ODST was a bit of a hit and miss, some people enjoyed it (like me) and some people hated it, the graphics got the same treatment as Halo 3 with improved lighting and stuff so it feels smooth and familiar, the gameplay is just plain awesome and the city looked so great in the first place but now it looks awesome. (9/10)
    Halo 4 is the bad egg in this saga because I personally hated Halo 4 due to the fact that the story is B.S and the armour looks too detailed, the armour in Halo: Reach was big and bulky and looked like it could stop a bullet while the armour in Halo 4 looks weak and pathetic. The whole SPOILER ALERT chosen by the Forerunners thing was a joke and I hated the sound of Cortana's voice by the end of it I was glad she's dead. SPOILER END and to top it off the multiplayer was AWFUL back on the 360 with killstreak rewards or 'supply drops' as they call it and the ability to choose a load-out just killed the halo feel of it and made it feel like COD, screw you 343, if it ain't broke don't fix it. And by that I mean Halo: Reach was the pinnacle of multiplayer and you decided to stick your hand in a blender and complain about how much it hurts. (6/10)

    All in all Halo MC is worth a buy and worth a play despite the monumental cock-up with the multiplayer at launch because like everything else, it gets fixed.

    I have been never played halo game before so i picked it up and start playing it and it was amazing! Story was very amazing and I Personally Really loved Halo 4 with an amazing emotional story.

    The only real down to it was before July when it had all those bugs and not so good matchmaking. They fixed the multiplayer now. You can usually get into a game within 5 minutes. Now it is awesome. Its even better if you like to have four players on the couch. There are several different game types and over 100 multiplayer maps. You can play all 4 campaigns.     Favorite video game ever! Halo is a great game better than Destiny. I think it has amazing graphics. the multiplayer is also really fun to play. The sound track is so good I would listen to it in my car when I'm older.
    Halo is an amazing game I would recommend it to anyone.

    It is a great game, I started playing it must be three months ago so I don't saw all the multiplayer problems the people said it has, but anyway great game or almost 6 games including ODST and Spartan Ops, it is incredible how the remastered the old games, so I knew all the Master Chief history on one game.

    I only really bought this so I could play Halo 2 online. I really enjoyed the original Halo 2 graphics more for multiplayer. But c'mon, halo 1-4 for 60$, count me in.

    Two years ago, i thought i will never own xbox. I thought i will never play halo. If i only could know... Collection of the best games in history of xbox. You must buy this if you own that console. 9/10 - only cuz launch multiplayer problems. Otherwise it would be ten.

    This is still the best Halo / Xbox One exclusive! The only thing that could possibly make this game better is the future inclusion of Halo Reach and Firefight mode for both Halo Reach and Halo 3 ODST. This is a must buy and should be in your collection.

    The game overall is a nice pickup for anyone who missed a Halo that has a number in its name. The only downside is never being able to huddle around with your cousins or friends while playing split screen matches with each other or playing split screen with them now. I bought this game so I could play halo twos campaign. I enjoyed it very much. With its amazing cutscences, great graphics, and 60fps, I enjoyed it.     This game is one of the very few I have purchased that I have zero regrets. The MCC has so much content on one disc and hundreds of hours of gameplay that I have to be crazy to rate this anything lower than a 10. The campaign for Halos 1-3 are absolutely amazing. The blur cinematics for H2 were jaw dropping and the ability to switch between old and new graphics was worth it alone. PlayingThis game is one of the very few I have purchased that I have zero regrets.     Good value for money but unless your a Halo fan there is nothing really new here to bring in any new players. Halo has always been very repetitive and interest can be lost fast. Worth a look if you have people to play it with.

    Para mi fue perfecta esta coleccion, ya que era nuevo en el mundo de halo. el 1 y 2 son larguisimos. Ya el 3 y 4 mejoran graficos pero acortan campaña. Aunque con el 2 hicieron un trabajo espectacular con las cinematicas.

    As an older gamer this is how I always imagined video games to be; fast, bright, OK plot/story and lots of guns to shoot. I played all five games in three months and just might have to go back on a higher setting

    i will talk about this game in its current state (11/9/16) and its perfect a must buy for XBOX one owners and is now dirt cheap. multiplayer is fixed very rarely any problems. only one thing that's a problem is all the updates have made it so big and could take up a lot of storage.

    ___I lost 30 minutes of Active gameplay over a HUGE territory on Halo 1 because the devs decided NOT to amend (or perhaps it's a bug) a shortage of checkpoints, which has always been a HUGE Complaint of the gaming community. As an adult who Scarcely has time to invest in enjoying games, a game that Throws away a Half an Hour of My Time is HIGHLY Offensive to me. And I think the devs should have considered this as they polished this game. They must know that their core audience, which was in High School when these games came out, is now primarily made of Adults.. Adults, like them, that don't have the unfortunate privilege of disposing of hours of their time.
    ___Additionally, I can only assume the devs left the same programming of enemies (I feel I should title them "monsters," as though we were playing an RPG..) in Halo 3 having "resistances" to certain weapons. I only played this game for the first time two years ago. I was Confused and Dismayed as some enemies simply Would Not Die when being shot with LOADS of ammunition from a certain class of weapons..!!? It was the first of the Halo series in which I did not attempt and complete Legendary mode because I found it to be so Amazingly Aggravating.
    ___It's a series of "Good" games, with flaws, and very good multiplayer. It could have been improved upon and fixed, as I feel it needed to be. Unfortunately, it does not feature the Firefight mode found in the 360 release. But the multiplayer maps are now in their original graphics engine form. They had been previously updated for the 2011 remaster. Also included in this collection is Halo 2: Anniversary Edition. This update adds CGI cutscenes, new graphical and sound effects. Additionally, six of its multiplayer maps have been remade with the new graphics engine.

    Halo 3 is the least visually impressive of the four games on this disc. It was simply upscaled to display in 1080p and 60 FPS. Halo 4 was also just ported and not revamped, but its graphics still impress. Overall, The Master Chief Collection is essential for any Halo fan. If you already played 5G as was my case I think a good order to play the games would be chronological. So you can start with CE which is the one released for the OG XBox back in 2001, November 15th. CE is hailed as one of the greatest video-games ever made because many features that are ubiquitous in gaming and that are taken for granted in nowadays games can be traced back to HALO CE. But I just would like to say taht if you play it you have to take into account its age, it has aged a little bit, it's still playable, but I think the difficulty specially have not aged very well, bear that in mind, some missions can be quite tough, but it's totally worth the time travel to play this revoluationary game. I think only CE and Halo 2 are actually remasters, the others appear to be ports. But actually I don't feel like the 360 games have aged as much so they're much more playable. And also, maybe you might think that this is a game for the masses a friendly game and stuff like as if this is Microsoft's Mario game in popularity and relevance, actually it is, but I see Halo as more of a Hardcore game after playing them all. As I said some missions in these games can be quite tough and beyond that for CE, so if you'd like to play it on Legendary, I'd like to wish you the best of luck.

    Overall, great games, superb Franchise. I started this text with a question, I'll end it with another. I wasn't gaming in November 15th, 2001, the release date of both the OG XBox and HALO CE, and now I look back to it with some regret as I long to have taken part in this historic moment and to have followed/witnessed in real-time the amazing reviews, the overwhelming joy of players and what I believe, a Massive hype for HALO 2. Actually HALO 2 is currently my favorite of them all this was the last Halo for the OG XBox, I think it came out in 2004 and it brought a considerable leap over CE, I guess they just got bigger pockets after CE :-) So, the real question for me at least is:

    "What were I doing back in November 15th, 2001?"    … Expand

    It took them way way waaaaaaaaaaaaay to long to fix the multiplayer to this game. But now that it is fixed, it is an absolute blast to play alone and with friends. It's a great way to recapture the magic of everything we loved about Halo so dearly.

    Well, Halo Mater Chief Collection did not have the best launch in the game history but it offered so many great things that it was worth picking it up. When i first bought the game i brought it home, installed the game on my Xbox one and from the menu i had a good feeling about the game. i replayed Halo Trilogy in a month, first i encountered some minor bugs in Halo Combat EvolvedWell, Halo Mater Chief Collection did not have the best launch in the game history but it offered so many great things that it was worth picking it up. When i first bought the game i brought it home, installed the game on my Xbox one and from the menu i had a good feeling about the game. i replayed Halo Trilogy in a month, first i encountered some minor bugs in Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary and Remastered Graphics were...i don't know i never related to the remastered graphics so i changed the graphics to classic combat evolved but there was another problem...i could not change the audio to the classic combat evolved! it really pissed me off cause i had some great memories with the original combat evolved audio. Halo 2 Anniversary was a big surprise, remake cut scenes, improved audio, better lightning...i was not disappointed with halo 2 anniversary and i think 343 did a way better job with halo 2 anniversary than halo Combat evolved anniversary. Halo 3 played the same and i enjoyed it just like when it was released on 360 but halo 3 felt a little bit dated i mean the game was 8 years old at that time, i don't say halo 3 needed or still needs an anniversary just saying that they can improve it on some parts. Halo 4 on the other hand was a big surprise, i did not enjoy Halo 4 when i first played it but when i replayed it on master chief collection i thought it was a pretty good game, not as good as Bungie's Halo Trilogy but a nice addition that could have started a Better trilogy! (which did not happen cause of Halo 5) it was a little bit disappointing that reach wasn't included in the Mater chief collection but i was okay with it, then i went for the multiplayer and that's where the real problems happened, i was so excited to play halo 2's multiplayer or halo 3's multiplayer again but when i went for matchmaking, out of the ten matches i ended up playing three of them. Multiplayer was so flawed in the master chief collection that caused the developers to apologize for it! but you know it's 2020 and i replayed the master chief collection. it had been 6 years since i played Halo Combat Evolved and near 5 years since i played halo 2 and i enjoyed my time 100%. the bugs and everything were patched in the latest update and now in 2020 i can say that the master chief collection is kinda the definitive way to approach the halo games before halo infinite. i am really excited to replay Halo 3 and Halo 4 and Halo Reach (yes they finally added reach and ODST ) with the master chief collection on Xbox Series X with 120fps and 4k resolution!… Expand

    Ah nostalgia. I grew up on Halo:CE and playing it brings back memories. I enjoy playing the newer ones as well, but the multiplayer maps, prisoner and hang em high are my faves

    The best exclusive from One? That´s so probably, i can´t give a lower note than 10 from a game it have HALO 1, 2, 3, ODST, 4, and in a few months Reach.

    Insultingly bad port. Good, classic games ruined by god-awful net code and games as a service management. No support from the devs whatsoever, bugs from release still affecting players. Just an incredibly poor excuse of a video game

    Halo MCC in 2019 is a goldmine of superb shooters with great stories and ground-breaking multiplayer from Halo Combat Evolved to Halo 4 and the soon released Halo Reach on the MCC. The game runs so well on the XBOX ONE X and even on base XBOX One! If you own a XBOX ONE or Xbox Game Pass this is essential.

    늙었어도 역시 한번 명작은 영원한 명작...1,2편이 리마스터가 잘되서 3편이 찰흙으로 보이는 기현상까지 일어난다..역시 ODST와 4편부터 슬슬 질리기 시작하는건 어쩔수없는듯

    Although admittedly quite broken in the past, the game has undergone a recent stream of updates in the last two year. Without a doubt, this is currently one of the Xbox One's best games. And with the introduction of a remastered Halo: Reach now apart of the collection, it has made the game reach a new height of popularity.

    I just got Xbox Game Pass for only a dollar and I had never played Halo in my whole entire life. I had always wanted to play Halo, as soon as the game was done downloading, I played Halo Reach the first mission was decent but by the end of the game I was amazed by how good the campaign was, I will soon play Halo CE. The time to kill is so much longer than COD which I LOVED and it took much more SKILL than other FPS. The guns all stand out, Needler, Battle Rifle and so much more.     all the haloes in a single game, remastered to 4k ... it's just amazing and almost all the haloes are great! The only thing I don't like is that it has no crossplay or cross gen. you cannot play with people from pc with xbox (or vice versa) or with those from X360. great.

    I can only cancel on my own behalf that none of the parts, with the exception of Halo 4, has been translated into Russian, even in text, which is very terrible for 2014, since I am comfortable reading in my native language, but after recent events, this, perhaps not very critical.     A cool remaster with awesome graphucs and good controls. A worthy remaster of the xbox/xbox 360.
    But the only thing that's bad, it's to pay for get reach and odst. Just this.

    It’s all the original Halo games and make them look beautiful and all of them (besides 4) are great games still I have to dock a point with Halo 4 in it

    got my xbox one s because of this game. one month later it was anounced coming to pc still dont regret my decision great game gonna get it on pc too just dont like having the same products or buying the same thing twice.
