With an excellent matchmaking system that taps into just over 100 maps (106 total if I'm not mistaken) and a clever playlist system, there will be no shortage of fun and no abundance of redundancy from playing the same starter list of maps that most games suffer from. If you've played Halo and enjoyed it, this is the easiest recommendation anyone could ever make. If you've never played Halo or were too young to have gone back and played the first couple of games, you owe it to yourself to see what made this franchise what it is today. It's Halo 2 that gets the "anniversary treatment", so you'll notice the biggest jump in visuals there.     Great anthology of nostalgia, definitely a collection not to be missed, the remastering of Halo 2 is simply amazing and the choices you have to play missions mixing is just great.

    Had a really rough start during the beginning of its life but nowadays it's a really great package full of Blockbuster titles and tons of features and content it took a long time but 343 finally got this game back on track it's literally one of the best packages you can buy.

    I originally gave this a rather poor review after it sloppy launch. However Microsoft did an amazing job cleaning up all this games online issues in a relatively short time frame. They also realize they screwed up in releasing the game too early and gave Halo ODST as well as other goodies to people who bought it.     I've started from Halo 1 and going forward. The game is amazing. Even that it's older games with a new face, I think it worth it, since I didn't played Halo 1 and 2. The story is solid and of course, you have to keep in mind that this is a game from 13 years ago, so don't create cinematic expectations to that version. On the other hand, halo 2, 3 and 4 it's just like a movie.

    Three incredible Halo games and one okay game (*Cough* Halo 4 *Cough*) all in one package with all of each games content thrown in to the mix. Halo 2 Anniversary is clearly the star of the show here, and it is amazing to play my favorite Halo game in glorious HD.

    10/10, superb value for your money!

    I just played 2 hours or so of Halo 2 and...how can you not love this collection? This is how remakes should be done, there are 4 full great games and multiplayer content for life. This is a must have for any gamer!

    This is a must own collection great memories with this series, now I will have many more. originally upset for lack of backwards comp on xnox one being that I would still play halo but this surpasses that over a 100 maps all on one disc 1080p 60fps.     I love Halo, I don't understand it, and having everything in one game is really amazing. I'm disappointed about the matchmaking though. I know it will be fixed. For now im playing the campaign in legendary and Halo: CE is very difficult so far, one of the hardest game in a long while, but not abusive.

    For $60 I got four games. All were premium releases with full multiplayer (as of March 2015, working seemlessly) and vast single player campaigns. All have full orchestral soundtracks that work incredibly well with the environments they were crafted for. I have access to videos, commentaries, and in-game unlockables.     The halo 2 anniversary campaign is jaw dropping, and the anniversary multiplayer has stood the test of time. Anyone interested in this game should check it out. You definitely get more than your money is worth.

    Best value in gaming right here. I've always enjoyed Halo. As someone who likes science fiction games, Halo is a series that holds a place in my heart. All 4 games included in this collection are my favorite games from the series made to look prettier and generally run better than before.     best remaster ever!!!true there are problems with matchmaking but over all as of December it has improved, so I give this game a 10 out of 10. halo 4 looks better then ever and halo 2 looks amazing !!!

    Halo 2A campaign alone is worth the $60. The graphics are beautiful, and the story is top notch. Gameplay aged extremely well. The other 3 campaigns and the multiplayer are just icing on the cake. Hopefully 343 can fix the Matchmaking ASAP though

    for any die hard halo fan, this is the reason to own an x box one. 4 amazing games, over 100 multiplayer maps, a halo 5 beta, and halo night fall. a movie directed by ridley scott that is released in episodes which bridges the said movie into halo 5.all for the price of one game. halo 2 anniversary is the star of this package.

    Halo MCC pretty much one of the best games to start out with if anyone was to get a Xbox one, the collection of 4 great games running on there own engines is a nice touch but it does have a few minor problems from launch that will most likely be fixed soon enough.

    Even tho the first two were on original Xbox they shine fairly nicely due to the treatment they have received, specially Halo 2 with there new cut scenes and updated graphics. The feeling of each game still shows but even then that wont stop you from enjoying them. Personal note, as much as I love the first three the fourth I find not as great but still a fairly fun ride none the less.

    With the single player each game has returned with there own multiplayer and that even means Halo 1's multiplayer tho if I'm not mistaken is actually the PC version thanks to the new weapons that was only on the PC release. As much fun I had playing them already I will admit, the servers on day one lack greatly, taking plenty of time to get you into a game if you can even get in one that is. Patches will fix this but as of now it's kind of a bummer not being able to hop into what ever game you wish as quick as you want.

    With all of that said it is great to replay all four games once again, looking back from where it started to where it last ended really does put a smile on your face.    … Expand

    You really gotta laugh at the kids giving this 0. This is the definitive halo experience so tastefully done that I almost can't believe it. I'm in love all over again. Hours of well packed content ahead of me... I am as giddy as I was when I first played halo. thankyou 343i, for treating my favorite franchise with such respect.

The graphics look AMAZING and the best option is that you can change between Old and New graphocs! Halo Combat Evolved- 10/10- The original Halo game and simply the one with the most charm and the best maps any game can have. Halo 2- 10/10- Halo 2A powerhouse game.     jogo excelente, nao tem como da nota menor que 10, são 4 jogos em 1, porem o halo channel tem diversas linguas, e quase nada de portugues o que é deploravel, mais como estou analisando os 4 jogos, não tem como dar menos que 10 para o jogo, que ta com uma qualidade incrivel .

    At first i was soooo mad about all the bugs. As we all had a right to be. But spending some lengthy time on the game now has really shown how much 343 worked to get things going. Best game i ever bought. All my favorites in one and now that the bugs are mostly gone im in heaven like i was supposed to be.

All the LAN parties that took place were amazing! Halo 2 brought xbox live and I played online so much I never got to play the campaign before some moron stole my disc...

    343 did a great job organizing this game. One may get overwhelmed if they didnt do it right but they did it perfect! Nothing has changed in these games and back when they were originally released, I think the lowest score they got was a 9 or 9.5 and thats why I am giving it a 10. Its got the same great game play we have all grown to love with Halo, it looks 10x better, its smooth and now every game is online... Perfect 10 for me.    … Expand

    I paid full price and was wholly satisfied. Having played the series before, I was both nostalgic and still kept on the edge of my seat by the updates. The multiplayer is exactly what I'd hoped it would be and let me remember what I loved most about this game saga. The new playerbase gets to relive the glory of Master Chief from the beginning.     One important thing to note is that the Remastered edition of Halo 1 also makes an appearance here and a nice touch was in the way you transition in both Halo 1 and 2 between the remastered and original additions no longer includes a fade to black, its instant and very fun to play with, you will not believe how far gaming has come.

    But halo is nothing without multiplayer, I will admit, I was very frustrated with the multiplayer being broken so long after launch, but since that time I have enjoyed hundreds of extremely fun online games.

    For example being able to go back and play Halo 1 online as it was meant to be played was a very rewarding experience and really took me back to my childhood.

    It should also be noted that the Master Chief Collection has also gained Spartan Ops since launch which featured in Halo 4.

    All in all one of the most generous and well put together bundles in the history of gaming and I'd also like to give props to 343 for rewarding us with Halo ODST later this year for our troubles, one of my favorite games of the Franchise and I very much look forward to it.    … Expand

I'll have probably finished the campaign (legendary) by the weekend. So far it is just jawdropping.     I've been playing Halo since Combat Evolved, and this is the best package to get me up-to-date again, just in time for Halo 5 next year. I love the graphic improvements, and gameplay-wise they didn't change anything, good job 343i.

    I have no interest in the PvP suite, so my experience from the get go was flawless. Halo Remaster, Halo 2 remastered (absolutely beautiful), Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST and Halo 4 all in 4k 60fps. Beautiful. All with online co-op.

    The best first person shooters of 6th and 7th gen all in one package. Love it.

    Amazing game!!! I had previously played all halos besides 1 & 4 all the way through. It's so great to play 4 campaigns and online. It sucks online is slow right now, but hey, I have 4 campaigns to destroy. #Finishthefight

    Last of Us Remastered was an ass of a remake mainly because it was a "REMASTERED" version of a game that came out less than a year ago. Master Chief Collection however, is a great game for the amount of content it has and the just the replay ability alone can hold anyone over.

    Anyone who gives this game a 0,1, whatever is just being stupid. There is too much good in this game to add up to a zero. Basically, look at the critic score if you want a sincere review (as always with Metacritic) because the user review is riddled with fanboys and people who probably haven't even played it.

    Sony fans are giving this a rating of 0 out of pure jealousy, and even tho i haven't bought this yet, im giving this a 10. I own both consoles, both have their strength and weaknesses, but overall Xbox and their game library over the past year have me beyond satisfied (haven't even touched my PS4 in months), and Halo MCC is the icing on the cake.     I love the idea to get four games in price of one, I bought it for single player and I'm very satisfied. Graphics is good, music and gameplay are excellent.

    This game is insane... the graphics are just breathtaking. The side clips in between missions look like they aren't even animated. I believe most of the bugs are fixed, so it runs well. If you have ever played halo, then this is a game for you. Words do not describe its optical advancement showing us the real potential of these consoles.

People don't like it because it's a little different from past Halo's, but these changes are good. The graphics and setting are absolutely beautiful, and the music is stunning, even though it's diverse from the past Halo's. The story of Halo 4 is excellent, most notably the moments with Master Chief and Cortana where their chemistry is like no other. The multiplayer is a huge aspect of Halo. Yes, it had issues at launch but now there's no problems with finding games. The game finding system is great because there are many modes and categories to choose from. The only complaint I have with the online game modes is that there's no classic "Grift Ball," I loved that game.     In all honesty, I consider this to be the single best deal in the entire history of gaming and I have been a gamer since Atari first released its Pong home console back in the late 70's. 4 amazing games all running in 1080p 60fps, 2 of which have been completely redone from the ground up. Halo with the Anniversary edition and Halo 2, which was done for this release.     4 of the best games ever (with a couple coming later) , all the multiplayer, remade cut scenes and remastered to 4k, this is a must have collection for everyone owning a xbox.

    There isnt a lot to be said here, the game came out with some multi player bugs but by the time Im reviewing it they have been ironed out.

    The value is so much its a undeniable 10.

    Was surprised at how fun Halo CE's campaign is at Heroic. But doing legendary without the magnum is the most frustrating thing ever. 10/10.

    The game is great as I have played all 4 before. I had the chance to play couple of matches due to matchmaking difficulty, but that should be fixed by 343. Other than that graphics, sound, smooth play all there for 60 bucks. Ignore the negative reviews.....all coming from PS4 haters or people crying about the matchmaking bug. For true halo fans this game is a dream come true.

    Wow! The gaming world finally has a game bundle which beats Orange Box in value and fun level. Though a Halo fan since Halo:CE, I'm still surprised that it beats Valve's most iconic game bundle.
    This single title (with 4 games) alone is worth the price of an Xbox One.

    I wish I could give it a 9.9/10. Everything about it is absolutely glorious, with the exception of some of the remastered sounds in the Halo 2A campaign. I just miss the old sounds of things like the SMG, Sniper, Ghost and some stuff like that. Its only a tiny detail, but options in the menu for that would be awesome (even if they might be unnecessary)

The best part of this whole collection is that all 4 games are remastered in 60fps, which make a huge difference. Some people might complain about the massive install size, but it just proves how much content you're really getting for your money.

While the network issues aren’t quite as bad as Betafield… I mean, Battlefield 4’s, it’s not the best. Thankfully, they’ve promised a patch to be released on 13th November, just two days after launch, which will fix the reported network problems. Given this, I'm disregarding them in my score.

    If you are tired of the current FPS games and all the ‘Modern Military Shooters’ that are floating around now, grab Halo. Is it dated in some ways? Definitely, but in others that’s just a breath of fresh air in the stuffy environment created by companies rehashing the same story several dozen times and releasing it under a different name (I’m looking at you, Activision).     Couldn't have asked for more in an anniversary edition of halo 2. This is the best bundle since valve's orange box. The only pitfall is the number of bugs that exist at launch. However, that is expected given the size (approximately 60Gb) of content that you are getting. You are getting 1Gb/$1, that is insane!

    Halo 1 broke the FPS mold, H2 redefined FPS multiplayer. H3 pushed the limits of sandbox open world map editors. H4 rounded out the series with better graphics and introduction of a new enemy with new environments and weapon technologies.
    Worth the price of an X1 just to get this collection.

    you cannot go wrong with this game. Multiplayer issues will be fixed so best time to do campain. Only issue i have is that you cannot fully change the button layout. creates confusion with other FPS.

We are reviewing the full game not what it is now. even though i am a bit frustrated with this setback Wednesday a "fix" is coming so i look forward to that. I find this game very nice.     Best series of games I ever played. 100/10. Better Series than CoD, Battlefield, Arma, Killzone, Resistance, Half Life, CS, Evolve, Destiny, Farcry, Wolfenstein, Bioshock, Quake, Doom , Goldeneye, Borderlands, Crysis, Rage, Fear, L4D etc.

    Does Halo MCC deserve a ten out of ten? No. But does it deserve any rating under a 5? Hell no. 343 has it's goods and bads, but MCC is GOOD, REALLY GOOD. The graphic overhaul on Halo CE makes the game totally playable again, I hardly felt like I was playing an outdated game. Halo 2 is absolutely beautiful and clean. Does Multiplayer suck right now?     best memories ever made, can't leave a better smile on my face. With the most discusting multiplayer problems i still found 10/10 for its efforts in the storyline, like come on lets be realistic, 4 games is for sure worth the 60 bucks. If you don't like this game then your seriously not the right taste in a quality video game.

    Halo is one of the best games your ever play, and to have the first four Halo games on one disc with all the multiplayer maps is a godsend. A must have for anyone who loves fun multiplayer and a solid story. Get this if you have never played Halo you won't regret it.

    The MasterChief Collection was all I wanted. Replay old memories with new graphics and sound effects. The new cinematics really adds up to the game. Plus, you have all 3 other games with it. It's a very good deal overall for only 60$. It's a must have for your game collection on your xbox one.

    A bit of a disaster...Why? It's a half-assed, crudely cobbled-together product prone to crashing, lockups (and as of press time) absolutely non-functional multiplayer.
