The artwork in the game is all surreal and it is really impressive, both in terms of artistry and imagination. The music in the game fits the feel of the artwork perfectly, and really enhances the game's mood. I found the game to be simultaneously challenging and relaxing, a really good game to unwind with at the end of the day. Watching the artwork come together and reveal itself is a delight, and I more than once fell under the spell of summit fever and spent more time with the game than intended as I pushed to get to the point where the last piece snapped into place. I enjoyed my time with the game, and if you enjoy puzzle games you probably will, too.

Glass Masquerade 2 is a great follow-up and gave me more of what I craved from the first game. It is weird to speak so highly of a jigsaw-style puzzle game, but Onyx Lute just makes this work so well. I am already ready for the third installment and I hope more people discover the sheer joy these games provide. You can grab both for very little on just about every console and I cannot recommend this series enough. It truly is the best of its kind and I cannot wait to solve more of these mental roadblocks.

Glass Masquerade 2: Illusions is a Jigsaw Puzzle game. With a dark and creepy overtone, Gales Masquerade tasks you with completing StainedGlass Masquerade 2: Illusions is a Jigsaw Puzzle game. With a dark and creepy overtone, Gales Masquerade tasks you with completing Stained Glass images by assembling bizarrely shape pieces into a round frame. The game features a hard mode, increasing the difficulty of the already challenging puzzles. Not many games have captured jigsaw puzzle style fun digitally, but Glass Masquerade has done this masterfully. I thoroughly enjoyed the art style, and seeing these works in their completion was very satisfying. Completion of a puzzle also grants you a Cheshire Cat style quote, adding to the already dark and mysterious atmosphere. The control style works well with the game play, and doesn't feel heavy, or unintuitive, its just right. Puzzle fans should seek this game out for their collection... but if clowns freak you out, its got some pretty creepy ones! This is an excellent follow up to the original game for Xbox One.
