Glass Masquerade 2: Illusions on Xbox One does what it says on the tin. It looks great and delivers a series of enjoyable jigsaw puzzles but can get more than a little frustrating throughout. But then hey, I guess that’s what the puzzling scene has been providing for centuries past.

The amount of content is within is quite decent and I have no complaints with regards to that, especially since most puzzles, unless you're a puzzle wizard, will take you about 20-35 minutes to complete. I'd recommend this game to anyone who can see past the mundane nature of a puzzle game with a few quirks here and there. As for me, I'll leave the shards right where they are for now.

Glass Masquerade 2: Illusions is definitely made for a select audience. Unfortunately it’s an audience I don’t see myself being a part of for very long. But if you are passionate about jigsaw puzzles you get a fairly large assortment for the cost of $11.99. Sweet dreams.

With a dark and creepy overtone, Gales Masquerade tasks you with completing Stained Glass images by assembling bizarrely shape pieces into a round frame. The game features a hard mode, increasing the difficulty of the already challenging puzzles. Not many games have captured jigsaw puzzle style fun digitally, but Glass Masquerade has done this masterfully. I thoroughly enjoyed the art style, and seeing these works in their completion was very satisfying. Completion of a puzzle also grants you a Cheshire Cat style quote, adding to the already dark and mysterious atmosphere. The control style works well with the game play, and doesn't feel heavy, or unintuitive, its just right. Puzzle fans should seek this game out for their collection... but if clowns freak you out, its got some pretty creepy ones! This is an excellent follow up to the original game for Xbox One.
