    Just finished episode 1. Great game, bought the season pass. I was a big fan of the Walk Dead games as well. First episode had great twists. A must buy if you like Game of Thrones or the Telltale games.

    Wow just finished the first episode... this game is the best straight story driven game i have ever played and maybe that's because I love the game of thrones stories. It's very interesting and intense at the same time. Your not going to like this game if you are expecting action because it simply is a episode of Game of thrones.     Telltale are on a good thing with this game type. Game of thrones is a must buy for fans. I do agree the writing isn't as compelling as the wolf within, walking dead and borderlands. Perhaps because so many factions are at play in GoT. Still excellent.

    Highly recommended.

    Story was very engaging, every scene and every situation felt urgent and the characters all felt very fleshed out and were fun to interact with, even if some of those interactions left some poo stains in my underwear. The voice over work by the actual actors is a very nice addition. My only gripe is there's a few times where the animation was a bit jumpy and    Highly recommended.

    As a huge fan of Game of Thrones, A Song of Ice and Fire and Telltale Games in general, this first episode could not have been any better. Not only did it collaborate perfectly with the TV series by showing a different perspective of a certain big event, Telltale also made the correct decision of using the original actors for the voices of the in-game characters.

    An exciting and gripping story driven game, Telltale delivers once again on a fantastic experience. Putting yourself in the shoes of multiple characters and trying to play the Game of Thrones for yourself really emphasizes the struggles of the characters in the TV Show and Novels, sometimes what you want to do isn't the best option and this game really does a fantastic job of making youAn exciting and gripping story driven game, Telltale delivers once again on a fantastic experience.     I've never seen the show on HBO, but I really enjoyed this first episode. It seemed a bit short compared to other telltale games but its very engrossing, great story, visuals and voice acting. My score is reflective of two things: 1) too many loading screens-it really breaks the excitement, and 2) there are absolutely no puzzles, so the only real player interaction is during the occasionalI've never seen the show on HBO, but I really enjoyed this first episode. It seemed a bit short compared to other telltale games but its very engrossing, great story, visuals and voice acting.     I don't.. I don't understand how people enjoyed this iteration from Telltale. I'm a huge fan of The Wolf Among Us and the first episode of Tales from the Borderlands.

    This game was awful. The writing and pace of this story was horribly slow and only barely managed to pick up just before the credits rolled. The art style is very pixelated which I wasn't a fan of and you spend the entire    I don't.. I don't understand how people enjoyed this iteration from Telltale. I'm a huge fan of The Wolf Among Us and the first episode of Tales from the Borderlands.

    This game was awful. The writing and pace of this story was horribly slow and only barely managed to pick up just before the credits rolled. The art style is very pixelated which I wasn't a fan of and you spend the entire game playing a coward apprentice, a small child, and a selfish, entitled young girl.

    The young boy had easily the most interesting part in the story, which isn't saying much. The game was full of horrible dialogue and overly dramatic facial animations (mainly frowns) and unnecessarily drawn out conversations.

    I played this, along with two of my friends, one being a female.. All three of us were disappointed and thought it was incredibly boring and weak-written.

    And yet it's getting praise from just about every media outlet and gaming forum. Normally I consider myself to be with the majority, as far as game opinion is concerned, but I don't understand why everyone is going so crazy over this game.

    It is easily the weakest of all the Telltale games available currently. Even though it was only a first episode, it doesn't even compare to the blowout that was the first episode of Tales from the Borderlands and I'm not even a fan of the Borderlands universe. Yet both games are getting 8/10's as if on the same level.    … Expand

    Game of Thrones: Episode One- Fire From Ice shys just so close from being amazing. The storytelling is some of Telltale's best. The only issues I had were the technical hiccups and slow-pacing.

    The story is good, I love GoT, but I don't think that the choices matter as much as they are advertised. It was a bit of a letdown that all my initial deliberation didn't really mean anything.

    This game is broken on Xbox One - when you start Episode 2 every decision that you have made in Ep 1 is forgotten and you start from a generic save.

    This game should be exceptional - TTG is a perfect fit for the source, but this is such a fundamental failure for a game of this type that I have to say that it is unplayable until fixed.     TellTale Games has done a very good job of capturing and bringing us Game of Thrones atmosphere. A real interactive episode of the TV series. Must buy game for all Game of Thrones and TellTale Games fans!

    But, when TellTale Games have very good storytelling skills, the technical side of the game is in dire need of improvement. The poor details and clunky animations. I think that it is time to change the whole engine.

    + The story is great.
    + Original characters.
    + Authentic world of Game of Thrones.
    + Great ending.

    - Poor and woody graphics.
    - Glitchy animations.

    Two things I want to clarify before I start: 1. I played this on the Xbox 360, not Xbox One because I don't own an Xbox One...yet. 2. I haven't seen that much of the television show itself, so this review truly based on just the game itself. As always, TellTale Games delivered an amazing story-telling, decision-making game, just like it's other games like The Walking Dead and The WolfTwo things I want to clarify before I start: 1. As always, TellTale Games delivered an amazing story-telling, decision-making game, just like it's other games like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us. Almost every decision that needed to be made was very difficult with what choices are given and only a very short amount of time to make a decision. Whether your decisions were good or failures is honestly up to how the player feels about their decisions. Out of the three playable characters, I found that Ethan's decisions were the hardest to make. If it's this difficult for a man in his late twenties to make the kind of decisions that Ethan needed to make, I can only imagine how it would be for an actual 13 or 14 year old boy. I went on to purchase the season pass and will begin playing episode two shortly.… Expand

    A real interactive episode of the TV series, with the same well-known atmosphere, storytelling and dramatic turns of events. Telltale should work more on its engine and animations though, as the game lacks in details and suffers of clunky animations. Even the gameplay could use a renovation, after several years of the same formula.
