Whole Bethesda had a rocky launch with 76 they did listen to player feedback and have made the game into something really fun! The new Nuclear Winter mode is one of the more fun battle royale games ice played!

Great online community. Bethesda continues to support the game with new features and fixes. There’s a lot more to come and it will definitely improve the game. So much to explore and do currently. New battle royal mode is loads of fun. Highly recommend for casuals and fallout fans.

Ignore the haters that haven’t even played the game. While there are some bugs and glitches, it’s no more so than any other Fallout game, including 3, New Vegas and 4. Great game. Yes, it was a rocky launch to say the least. However Bethesda hasn’t turned a blind eye to the bugs OR where they went wrong. There’s an awesome, interactive community that plays it and a committed developer...dare I say, maybe it recreates the ES:O comeback?

The community is great, and you'll run into kind people more than enemies, or griefers. Leveling your character and perfecting the build that you want is extremely satisfying, and is great for players who really like to role-play and connect with their characters. If you haven't picked it up yet, now is definitely a great time to start, it's easy to get into and hard to get out of. I give this game a 10 star review simply because the replay-ability, rich lore, and the ability to just pick it up and play with your friends. With new content on the horizon, I recommend Fallout 76 to people who are new to the RPG genre, and even veterans and previous fans of Fallout. This game is exactly what an online Fallout game should be, and more.

On the one hand, this game has gotten far more backlash and baseless criticism from braindead bandwagon hopping troglodytes then it ever could have actually deserved; especially given the effort that Bethesda has put into listening to what fans want and implementing it as quickly as possible. They manage to do this while fixing a large number of bugs on a regular basis and the result has been a turn around very akin to the post-launch of No Man's Sky. What exists now is a stable solid and fun core gameplay loop, but one in my eyes with some room for improvement. This paired with a fun and in some ways totally original battle royale game type that still offers rewards useable in the other two game types present makes for a rewarding experience and a game well worth the money... Now. This brings me to why I am of two minds. While great praise would be given for how far this game has come from what it started as it simply put shouldn't have shipped that way in the first place. It is not by any means a good practice for a company to charge full price for a broken buggy mess and expect their customers to wait patiently while they take a year to fix it. I am, however, understanding enough to acknowledge that I am not privy to the industry goings-on behind closed doors and so it is not my place to make judgments about events that I am not fully aware as to the cause of. All of this aside, what exists now is a fun engaging experience that is worth the price tag, regardless of the road it took to get here. Expand

But it’s hard to feel as if you’re truly affecting the world when there are no NPCs to express satisfaction or disdain, or to be directly influenced by your actions. Even killing feels hollow. Some of my best battles in Fallout 4 came when I stumbled across an outpost and found there a raider in there; he’d yell and scream at me as we were facing off. The Scorched, while armed, feel like nothing more than zombies.

The addition of multiplayer feels as though it comes at the expense of Fallout’s memorable story-driven moments. What good is a vast map full of players if they're given little to no purpose? When no other players are around, the game’s world feels almost empty. The attention-grabbing locales and landmarks add to Appalachia's charm, but it's difficult to not wish for living, breathing characters to inhabit it. Post-apocalyptic West Virginia is described as a wasteland, and this term paints an inadvertent but accurate picture of what Fallout 76 is right now.

If you enjoy multiplayer games of this type and are willing to overlook the engine anomalies, you may find yourself rapidly addicted to the game's exploration density and loot systems. If you're easily frustrated by bugs and issues, you may want to sit tight a bit to see what Bethesda does to polish things up, cus oh boy, it could use a bit right now. If you're a fan of the single player, branching narrative the series is known for, you'll want to wait for Fallout 5.
