Wasteland Workshop is a nice little addition to Fallout 4, even though it only really amounts to a bunch of cosmetic stuff for the build menu and a customarily buggy, yet hilariously entertaining, DIY arena.

Without a story or a proper introduction, Wasteland Workshop feels a bit thin. The traps and the arena concepts are fun, but everything else gets lost in the already complex repertoire and, in the end, the whole package seems disjointed. Good thing this DLC is a cheap one.

Staging fights and being able to spruce up your settlement more is always appreciated, but even for a small DLC, there's even less than you might be expecting here and it does lose its charm fairly quickly.

I just wished the arena was more reliable.

'Wasteland Workshop' seems more like free update material, or additions that would have come naturally if mod support was a thing. As it stands, it’s a mix of unwieldy creature traps, mildly novel base building objects, and a few handy doodads.

You'd think they would add some things to make the settlements more in depth or more personality to the settlers, but nope. Just cages. And there are no cool cinematics to start off any fights.. Seriously this is so disappointing and some of the worst DLC Bethesda has even put out. Not even worth $5.. I mean I have the season pass, but don't make me regret buying it. New DLC better be worth it and actually have something cool behind it. Full Review »

I've demolished and reconstructed my entire main settlement to accommodate a caged animal battle arena. I sort of think Bethesda should look at some of this DLC as a free option, but it's not breaking the bank so far for the DLC they've offered with FO4 Full Review »

For me, brighter lights and the neon letters are sufficient for $5. I suspect I won't use cages much, but whatever. I got the season pass; If I like a game, I don't mind paying to super-size it. If lighting is important to you, this is worth it. If you are operating in the "got to catch it all" DLC mentality, you might be disappointed. Full Review »
