This game isn't as bad as these other people are saying but it's not as good as the critics say it is. This game is mediocre at best and the controls are an entire step down and the career mode got worse but the customization is pretty good. If only we could get the customization of UFC 4 and the controls and graphics of UFC 3 then this game would be bomb. A desperate cash-grab on a good series making it worse. I had high hopes for this game EA manages to crush my dreams again. Don't get me wrong i did have fun....just not much. Expand

Career mode needs a serious overhaul. The exclusion of game face makes no sense. Striking feels very similar to ufc 3. The new clinch system is an improvement from the last entry. As a whole, this game feels somewhat of a lazy effort. You can get away with that with games like madden that have a new entry every year, but with the gaps in the ufc series, I don't think you can justify it. ICareer mode needs a serious overhaul. A bit better than UFC 3 with the additions of better clinch fighting and better ground game/submission fighting but still nothing special. After I finished one career I find myself only playing online now which can get repetitive.

i couldnt give it a 4.5 so i guess im rounding it off. not much to say about this f**king game. its just like the last one just with slightly better graphics...which by the way EA needs to hurry up and figure out that HDR would turn the graphics all the waaay up. i hate the fact they put some boxers in this bull***t in that case its time for a Fight Night...give the fan base what they need.

This year's iteration of UFC from EA Sports looks good, and feels good in parts - though the submission system just doesn't appear to be as much fun to play. The best parts of this game are the boxing and kickboxing elements, and the offline career mode is a fun mode to build and forge careers in. With really no other fighting titles to purchase this year, EA Sports UFC 4 will be unrivalled for those looking for another sports-like fighting game - and while UFC 4 is not a bad game, it doesn't do much to appeal to those who don't already have a love and appreciation for the sport or the brand.

EA Sports UFC 4's gameplay is overall better that its predecessor and the online now has a new mode.

EA Sports UFC 4 is a fun return to form for EA Sports. With a simplified approach to fighting and the inclusion of a more in-depth career mode, the UFC franchise is on the right track to building better things.
