    Easily superior to it's predecessor. There is, however, a lot of recycled content, and if you played the first one, you'll be going through more than a few of the same things. Luckily, there's plenty of new content as well. Having your own characters to interact with it's world remains the best part overall. Worst is the figure battle nonsense, though I can see where it can appeal toEasily superior to it's predecessor. The largest annoyance has to be that every now and then, an announcer talks about the figure battles trying to convince you to do them, and rather overly loud to boot.     Awesome Dragon Ball game. Xenoverse 2 is probably the best Dragon Ball game i have ever played on modern consoles and has several upgrades over the first game which itself was quality. Although a few well known names are missing from the roster it is still a must buy for all Dragon Ball fans.

    Com uma ótima jogabilidade e gráficos ótimos temos aqui Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 que a cada update torna o jogo mais fluido e melhor seu online. Suas missões paralelas se forem feitas com um amigo tornam Dragon Ball algo único, voce pode personalizar 100% seu personagem além de poder entrar na pele de Goku e Vegeta por várias de suas fases de vida. O jogo é ótimo e vale a pena ser jogado.

    If you love the Dragon Ball franchise then you will love this game. There is an amazing character creation system where you can choose 5 races to be your character. In addition, there are also tons of amazing costumes no to mention you can recolor some of the clothes to your liking. The story mode is long and it's decent. When you finish the story mode there are parrel quests which takeIf you love the Dragon Ball franchise then you will love this game.     There are brand new character customization features for you to delve into-- everything from new outfits (there are outfits other characters wear and there are original outfits you can change the colors of), new special moves, new ultimate moves, new    Don't let the the bad eggs try to steer you wrong. Xenoverse 2 is a major improvement to the first game in nearly every single way.

    There are brand new character customization features for you to delve into-- everything from new outfits (there are outfits other characters wear and there are original outfits you can change the colors of), new special moves, new ultimate moves, new Z-Souls, new masters, and the completely new QQ Bang equips which allow you to overwrite the stats on your clothing which allows you to actually wear anything you want without worrying about what stats go up or down.

    Bandai Namco and Dimps have taken strides to improve the gameplay and add in changes to make it much more balanced. Stamina is much more important now and you have to use it wisely, Saiyans can no longer abuse Super Saiyan then spam ultimates, there is no more super armor so no one has super invincibility (even while charging attacks), there is the addition of charged ki blasts which can have different effects based on your Z-Soul, you can see the enemy's stamina and ki gauges so you can see for yourself that they can no longer spam or get unlimited of either, and they've added in ways to quickly close the gap between fighters.

    There is a brand new story which focuses more on the movies from the Dragon Ball universe. It features characters like Turles, Lord Slug, Cooler, Metal Cooler, and more.

    There is also a new and much more improved soundtrack that sounds much closer to what you would expect from Dragon Ball, really capturing the mood of every battle and setting.

    The drop rates from missions have been vastly improved. No longer will you need to put in hours on the same mission, playing it time and time again for the one thing you want. They are far more forgiving and with the collection of brand new PQs that you can tackle there are even more goodies to collect and they're easier to collect without being too difficult or too much of a time sink.

    The masters you can train under are all on the brand new giant sized map at the same time so you never have to worry about missing them. In addition you can learn from all masters without having to become their student but you can still pick one as your instructor for extra goodies. Learning new skills from them is dictated by your ranking and you rank up by completing advancement tests at the training school (where you can also learn basics and extra tips), when you rank up you can learn new skills from any master that has new skills to teach.

    There are new transformations. Saiyans can go Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2, and Super Saiyan 3 (which are all now compiled under one skill) and if you want your hair to go spiky then just you wait til you go SSJ3. New to the series is the other races transformations. The Freiza race can go golden, Namekians can become giants, humans can awaken to their true potentials, and Majins can go Kid form. There are also special missions for each race that only that race can accept.

    No one should go into this expecting Budokai Tenkaichi 3 because it's not Budokai Tenkaichi in the first place-- otherwise it would be called Tenkaichi not Xenoverse (there wasn't even custom characters in BT3). By comparing this to BT3 people are doing it a great disservice, there are dozens of Dragon Ball video game series and there have been several series (and a whole generation of consoles) in between the release of BT3 and XV2 so picking BT3 as the yardstick of which to compare XV2 is silly to begin with.

    I've only just scratched the surface with this review, the game is massive and there are tens of hours of things to do within it. Best part is if you like offline or online everything above is there in both. Whether you're a diehard fan, a casual fan, or someone looking for some fun that lasts a while, this is the game you need to look into. It is addicting and just wanting to see what new moves and clothes you can get gives you the energy to push on.    … Expand

    although it is much better than the previous game, its still not a great game, or even a good one. I have not done the online so this only applies to offline. For the most part the story is fun, getting the eggs is an awful chore, but you need them for the secret ending and the 3rd saiyan transformation, btw everyone else only gets 1, saiyans get 3, then there are the 2 transformations foralthough it is much better than the previous game, its still not a great game, or even a good one. Also the buu transformation is **** it ignores everything about your custom character except what color you picked, because you become kid buu. My main issue is one thing i like to do is play as all the characters and mess around with their moves, I loved doing so in Raging Blast 2, favorite DBZ game btw, but that is not even sort of fun to do in this game. Either the AI is too weak, or you are better off doing melee with half the characters and then trying to stamina break the AI so you can try to use an ultimate. For those that do not play, you probably know how on the show they take a while to do an attack, and shout the name, but its cool since everyone lets it happen, well in this game everytime you try without the proper setup, you become recoome when he tried to use his ult on the show, so either learn the complicated garbage this RPG game with a fighting focus has, or fight a horrible AI in training since the setup for offline battles is complete and total trash, and nobody can argue that because the setup is pick a character and map then fight a timed battled against highest difficulty AI.… Expand

    Much improved 60fps gameplay make this game look amazing in HD. Combat is miles better than the previous title by being less clunky and more balanced with ki and stamina usage. There are lots more activities to be getting on with and more character customization options (even though these do appear minimal). A wider range of characters are now available. Overall, if another xenoverse title is released I expect better improvements for my purchase. The gameplay was rather enjoyable which makes up for it mostly.… Expand

    while this is still a improvement over 1st the combat still is lagging behind games such as tenkaichi 2 and 3 and raging blast series while there are more combat options the combat can still outright be annoying as 1 button presses can turn into 3 or 4 hits in some occasions making it feel sort of unresponsive and having you throw punches you didn't want to throw. also the game and superwhile this is still a improvement over 1st the combat still is lagging behind games such as tenkaichi 2 and 3 and raging blast series while there are more combat options the combat can still outright be annoying as 1 button presses can turn into 3 or 4 hits in some occasions making it feel sort of unresponsive and having you throw punches you didn't want to throw. also the game and super moves can be extremely unbalanced like god of destruction wrath which breaks your stamina and you cant do anything. I am currently ranked top 30 in the world on xbox so I spent a lot of time with the game's combat so I'm not just a raging blast or budokai tenkaichi fanboy I generally still feel those games combat is vastly superior.… Expand

    This game is simply fun. I love Dragon Ball and I am happy that Dimps and Bandai are supporting this game to this day. I hope Bandai's next DB game, Super Dragon Ball Fighterz or DB Xenoverse 3 will be amazing like the last 2 have been, this and DB Fighterz

    This was addictive game to me. You can customize your charather, level, and your skills. You have DBZ characters that can be your instructor and opponents. It gets a little repetitive doing the same things over and over again which sometimes lose my interest to the game. Overall, it is a good game to play with friends to challenge them.

    I have watched nearly every episode of the Dragon Ball franchise. So this means I have played my fair share of these types of games but I think that this game is really underrated. The visual games are brilliant, the animation is solid, the story is really well done and the references to all are amazing. Like the fact that you can learn nearly every known move in the series is amazing.I have watched nearly every episode of the Dragon Ball franchise.     But I realize that the same thing is repeated as in Xenoverse 1: Artificial Intelligence is still just as stupid, nothing has improved, only 1 team cannot be obtained from all the complete uniform that they can give you in the secondary missions ( The damn luck factor is back a bit), the DLCs are more expensive, some missions are more difficult even with the highest level and cannot be passed because of the stupid AI of the allies, the TP coins that can only be obtained playing a mission for the first time and not playing it again and getting those coins again, the difficulty is not explained well. There are many defective things that this game has and what is urgent is to update it, so that it no longer becomes so annoying and frustrating to play it.

    Is it really worth playing a game which doesn't help you pass and just wants to see you suffer?. It's better to leave it there, untouched. THAT IS WHY IT IS URGENT THAT THEY DO SOMETHING AND UPDATE IT!!!    … Expand

    Aprimoraram a fórmula que deu origem ao primeiro Xenoverse, mas sem perder sua identidade. Gostei muito de quase todos os aspectos do jogo, só achei que a história poderia ter sido um pouco mais impactante, alguns eventos importantes da história não passam emoção, mas de resto o jogo é riquíssimo.

    An ok game problem is on Xbox the cloud doesn't save your progress at all I Purchased this years ago came back years later to find my progress isn't on my console anymore I was pissed off my progress isn't saved it's the same for the first game no cloud saves for both I was pissed off at that and wasn't keen to go back through it all over again

    I am a dragon ball fan. I watched the anime played this game a lot played Dragon Ball Fighterz A lot and played Z kakarot and while i enjoyed the game, replaying it is not fun and there is very big delay in the battle (at list when I play as player 2) I would like if the battling wasn't so much complicated and that it was more refined and less like a button masher

Your custom character can also be customized in a wide variety of different ways, either from clothing pieces referencing appearances of older and newer characters, your face, your body, your voice (voiceNot my cup of tea, but I see why people say this is a good Dragon Ball game. Ever wanted to see yourself fighting alongside Trunks and Goku? You can do that here in the games story mode!     Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a HUGE game. Filled with characters, primary and secondary quests, events, costumes, npcs, and games within the game. The multiplayer is well structured. If you are a dragon ball fan, you will enjoy it.

    Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a much better game than its predecessor. The game tackles most of the problems I had with the first game by bringing me a much vaster world than before. Even though the first few hours are quite boring, the game has a lot to offer series fans.

    Take some button mashing combat, flashy looking special moves, an art style that closely resembles the anime, and fight scenes that are beautifully animated, and you have the ingredients for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
