I can't believe some are giving this a bad score, the game play is improved, the areas are HUGE....Seriously, I haven't felt this since skyrim. The only problems I've encountered are small non game breaking bugs which will likely be patched, even with them my score stays a 10. All in all, BUY DA:I, IT IS WORTH IT...unless you know, you haven't played origins, if not maybe buy that andI can't believe some are giving this a bad score, the game play is improved, the areas are HUGE....Seriously, I haven't felt this since skyrim. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I've only been able to play 6 hours since release, but I can already tell this will take up a lot of my future time. The story is a little slow to start, but I haven't really cared since I've been too busy exploring. The starting location (Hinterlands) feels enormous, and you can pretty much set off in any direction and find something to do and explore.

One of my favorite parts so far *Minor Spoiler* was wandering through a Templar Camp which ended with an enormous waterfall. I used the search button while mining for ore and discovered some super-rare crafting materials, and a rare sword. While not as "open world" as say Skyrim, I'm really, really enjoying it.

    * Amazing atmosphere, I haven't felt this giddy walking around and exploring since Skyrim... it's more polished though, with only the odd graphical oddity.
    * Origins level, if not better, writing.
    * Controller+PC = The most fun way to play. The UI for KB+M is lovely, but the movement is much, much better on controller..... they very much tailored EVERYTHING to work better on the gamepad

    * Use Mantle if you are AMD GPU - I got a based god 10fps bump and everything just seems to look and run better when using the Mantle API.
    * Install on a SSD for sure, load times are next to none.. just long enough to read 1-2 of the cards then you're into the game.
    * Cut-scenes were a bit stuttery as well, until I used Mantle.. AMD cards and DX11 in this game don't like each other as much.
    * The best music I have ever heard in a game, and I'm only 10 hours in.. it's just...... spectacular.
    * The Storytelling, so far, is amazing... only bested by the superb atmosphere and character interactions.
    * GOTY shoe in from what I've played.. it's the Dragon Age game you have been waiting for since finishing Origins, believe the hype.

I've played around 40 hours of DA: Inquisition and I'm really enjoying the game. The plot is interesting, exploring is fun, and the combat can be challenging. I view this game as blending the best of Skyrim with the best of Dragon Age: Origins. You have large, open zones to wander through and explore which is a huge improvement over Dragon Age 2. At the same time, you have a group of interesting companions that banter back and forth while you're exploring. I never cared for my companion in Skyrim and I feel like BioWare was able to capture the adventure of a large, unexplored world while adding in companions that are interesting and I care about.

My only complaint is that they've mixed junk items in with useful items on the Valuables tab. This makes it difficult to tell which items you can safely sell as vendor trash and which items could be used for requisitions later.

I will likely play though 2 - 3 times just to see how making different choices impacts the game. This is one instance where I believe the critics mostly got it right. They played through most of the game before writing their review, as opposed to the average fan who likely played for a few hours then decided to write their review. I think the use of power to unlock key plot-points was genious. It gives players a reason to explore, set up camps, do things for power and influence. Once enough power is earned, you are able to advance the story forward. Love the DA Universe!!! Great game!!! Expand

I have found that being a Mage opens the game up a little more also as a Mage you are given so many Unique dialogue options to speak out as a mage defending yourself from characters who think you are evil and must be controlled like every other Mage in the circle.

One of my favorite things about this game has to be the world development. As you complete different quests, both primary and side-quests, you will see the world begin to change as a reflection of your choices. Running into new characters and choosing the correct dialogue options will grant your Inquisition with new agents. AI characters react to you based on decisions made previously.

The depth of the skill-tree isn't as robust as, say, Skyrim, however it is balanced perfectly so as to not feel overwhelming.

I originally purchased this game to tide me over until the release of Witcher 3 in February, however now I'm not so sure that I'll have gotten my fill of all that DA:I has to offer by then. This game is a must-buy for anyone who wants to get their money's worth of gameplay and enjoys exploring a grand world.

I got to say, I've been yearning for a Skyrim on my Xbox One since it launched. The scope, scale, and depth of that game was amazing on the 360. It took a year, but I finally found what I was sorely missing.

This game is amazing. I loved Origins on the 360, and this game is what should have been the sequel to Origins. The world is vivid, full of lore, and is really fun to explore.

This game is amazing. I loved Origins on the 360, and this game is what should have been the sequel to Origins. The world is vivid, full of lore, and is really fun to explore. I am still amazed that even during the cut scenes, my character shows full customization. The skin color, face shape, eye color, tattoos, everything is there.

The first area that you can roam in is massive. I've been playing this since last Friday through EA Access and I still haven't done everything you can do. Glitches are minimum. I had it drop back to the dashboard just one time and I haven't experienced any other type of weirdness.

    The pros:

    Massive regions
Deep and rich lore, and books are not nearly as repetitive like was found in skyrim. I have yet to find the same book.
    Lots of stuff to do
Crafting, you can craft, and mine for resources. Almost to much.
NPC's are interesting, and I'm actually starting to care about what they think.

    Cons:

It's not totally glitch free. Sometimes you can back yourself so far away that ranged combat doesn't render well.
Speaking of combat, the freeze combat is nice to add in, but it's overly complicated.
I love being able to pickup all sorts of items, but the crafting system is way out of whack. I'm constantly pulling elf root just to make sure I always have enough. You can never get enough elf root.
The voice acting is bland, but still better then Peter Dinklage in Destiny.
It's way to easy to get distracted, but that is an issue most games like this suffer from.

In all, it's a great game. If you loved Origins, than this is a must buy. If you loved Skyrim, than this is also a must buy for the One. I have played this game for over 6 hours, and barely scratched the surface. It has yet to feel boring. Combat could use some fine tuning, and there are some minor issues in combat animations that need fixed. This is one of the few games that I feel like I'm not a beta tester. Bioware did an excellent job and I really look forward to loosing all my free time to it.
