If you're looking to satisfy that RPG itch on your brand-new, current-gen console, you can certainly to do so with Inquisition.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is BioWare’s strongest effort to date, but the massive scope of the world comes at no small cost.

A competent if unspectacular return. Dragon Age: Inquisition offers an abundance of things to do but its pick ‘n’ mix approach undermines any wow factor.

In trying to be all things to all people, Dragon Age: Inquisition lacks the impact that it might otherwise have had if BioWare had imbued it with the same sense of purpose that its predecessors carried....Inquisition, on the other hand, offers an embarrassment of things to do but sometimes forgets to provide the motivation to do them.

    * Origins level, if not better, writing.
    * Controller+PC = The most fun way to play. The UI for KB+M is lovely, but the movement is much, much better on controller..... they very much tailored EVERYTHING to work better on the gamepad (which is odd for PC).. this may irk some (but delights others like me to no end).
    * Use Mantle if you are AMD GPU - I got a based god 10fps bump and everything just seems to look and run better when using the Mantle API.
    * Install on a SSD for sure, load times are next to none.. just long enough to read 1-2 of the cards then you're into the game.
    * Cut-scenes were a bit stuttery as well, until I used Mantle.. AMD cards and DX11 in this game don't like each other as much.
    * The best music I have ever heard in a game, and I'm only 10 hours in.. it's just...... spectacular.
    * The Storytelling, so far, is amazing... only bested by the superb atmosphere and character interactions.
    * GOTY shoe in from what I've played.. it's the Dragon Age game you have been waiting for since finishing Origins, believe the hype.

I've been counting down the days till the game came out for months. Now that I have it I'm so disappointed that I made an account here just so I could review what is one of the most unoriginal games it has ever been my displeasure to play.
First off, this game is a blatant rip off of the Witcher 2. The inventory, scenery, map, gameplay, body language, movement, even the FONT is straight out of the Witcher. I cannot fathom why someone would want to copy something to such an extent, but they did, and they should be ashamed. Now don't get me wrong, the Witcher is an excellent game, and when something is done well, there's nothing wrong with incorporating features of that success in your own game, but that doesn't mean you should make the exact game with different characters. Don't we see enough of that television? Taco Bell is successful, but I don't see Burger King abandoning their menu and copying Taco Bell's exactly. Because that would be stupid and pointless. Like this game
Furthermore, the writing and storyline are more bland and flavorless than uncooked white rice. I understand that it takes time and money to make deep and involving dialogue, but my god, this is their job. The characters are as flat as Queen Amidala in the Phantom Menace I am not exaggerating. There is not of the thought or planning in combat that made Dragon age Origins and II good. The AI does everything. Reviving characters is as simple as walking over and hitting A. The mechanics of the game are awkward and random. The map is bizarre and unclear. The characters have maintained none of their past vigor or humor. They are so bland, I hesitate to call them characters at all. They're more like potatoes that walk. Walking Potato Inquisition.

    It's pretty though.
