    Brilliant, fast paced and pure FPS. I have been playing doom since around 1996. I play through Ultimate and Doom 2 yearly and this game easily scratches the same itch.

    Worthy sequel to Doom 2016. Improves on just about everything that made the first game great, but the added complexity causes some issues.

    There is a bit of a disconnect between the speed of the game and how many options you have at any given point, especially as the game progresses. You have so many tools at your disposal, and so many resources to manage that it can slow you down. This    Worthy sequel to Doom 2016.     Doom eternal takes everything from doom (2016) and expands on it and makes it better the music weapons story are all so good and it has a lot more to do than doom (2016) like exploration,challenges (like slayer gates).

I consider myself good at shooters, but this one is devilishly hard and I have no idea how anyone could beat this at nightmare or even the 2nd highest difficulty.     Doom Eternal and The Ancient Gods might be the best single player FPS I've ever played. It is a cross between classic Quake/Quake 3 deathmatch and Bayonetta/Devil May Cry.

    This is the best FPS I have ever played. After playing this everything else feels slow, frustrating, and not adrenaline pounding enough. I would recommend this game to anyone. This is absolutely my favorite game. ID out did themselves.

    Fantastic game. A little disappointed there isn't an achievement for completing campaign on a harder difficulty. Guess I wasted some time and frustration on a higher difficulty that didn't have a payoff. Oh well.

    The complexities of combat makes this a super fun game worth sinking hundreds of hours into. it's very rewarding to master all of the weapons and how to fight all types of demons strategically.

    Truly the renaissance of a franchise. DOOM 2016 was the beginning, but DOOM Eternal sealed the success of the franchise with fast paced gameplay, quick reflex learning, great graphics... As a FPS gamer I had to relearn how to move, shoot and control the arena. Also the difficulty gives you a solid challenge for veteran gamers (aside from part 1... My god...).

    Overall Must have for FPS    Truly the renaissance of a franchise. DOOM 2016 was the beginning, but DOOM Eternal sealed the success of the franchise with fast paced gameplay, quick reflex learning, great graphics... Everything is this game is so finely tuned to give you the best FPS experience you've ever had.     These addons for DOOM are HARD AF! Definitely play the first campaign on harder levels before even attempting this! If you are up for a challenge, though... this right here is LEGIT. It's very fast paced and will get you holding your breath at tense moments and your heart rate up. I can't even play this game unless I am well rested! Definitely worth it across the board.

    One of the best game I have ever played. The combat is skill based and satisfying, and the flow of the combat is incredibly good. DOOM Eternal is a refreshing break from all the modern fps games that are all just more of the same. The music is fantastic and easily the best of any game I've ever played. I would recommend DOOM Eternal to anyone who plays video games, and even some people that don't.

    This game reprogrammed my brain to the point where I can no longer play any shooter that expects me to stand still for more than five seconds. There is so much verticality, so much polish, so much fun with the game in the GAME. This game is a masterpiece, end of discussion.

    I am really impressed by how good this game is. It is worth of all the praised its received, and they have a killer formula to move forward with. The battles are intense and exciting; I was constantly on the edge of my seat. Even better than Doom 2016, which I thought was great at the time.

    The difficulty is much higher in this game, as you have much less ammo,    The best shooter I've played. Ever. While Doom (2016) made you feel unstoppable, Eternal made you work for it. Mastering Eternal is an experience like no other. The level design is fantastic, the gunplay is even better, and the new challenges you get make it all the more satisfying when you beat the final boss.

    The difficulty is much higher in this game, as you have much less ammo, enemies hit you like a truck, and there are a lot of new enemies to keep track of. If you're new to Doom/Shooters in general, I recommend setting the difficulty on Hurt Me Plenty. (I beat it on Nightmare on my first playthrough cuz I'm just that good)

    The Movement is a gift from god. You got double jump instantly, dashes, climbing, swinging on monke bars, the Meat-Hook, ect. It feels so good to zip through the map while blasting demons to dust.

    The only thing I can criticize is that the final boss's first phase is kinda annoying, and that's about it. The game reviews who said this game wasn't as good as 2016 just didn't care enough to try and get better. This is one of the best games I've ever played, and will continue playing in the future. There is so much to this game that makes it great that I haven't even talked about. Just get the game

    This game definitely gives the Doom series a flair of its own - the light resource management combined with the relatively demanding gameplay distinguish Doom Eternal from other shooters in the market. The gameplay is crisp, and the engine is very well optimized. ID really is trying to set a new bar for smooth FPS gameplay and it shows.

    They turned a mindless shooter into something that requires brain power. Every weapon has a purpose and every enemy has a weakness. No clue how they are going to top this one. But they already topped Doom 2016, so you never know... This is some of Ids best work.

    The real meat and potatoes of the game. All missions are great, combat is immaculate and very skill based. The difficulty increase since DOOM 2016 is a big one, but it's doable. As another reviewer once said, it's a fast-paced blood-fueled game of chess. You will constantly need to monitor your health, armor and ammo. Very rewarding combat, spectacular arena design, and superb graphics. 10/10

    Best singleplayer fps shooter currently out there, truly epic game. Battlemode while kind of cool is barebones.

    Rip and Tear until you are done (which is never, btw). You will never stop ripping demons apart.

    Rip, and tear, until it is done my friends. Very fun and enjoyable, I have had issues trying to stop playing once I get started. The game is very very created and can be challenging for new people, recommended to start on nightmare on your first run to get the full game play experience.

    An absolutely spectacular game, and one of the early highlight games of 2020. Doom Eternal will make you think as you kill, pushing your mind to its limits. That’s not a bad thing. It’s the perfect trip to hell.

    Doom Eternal is an outstanding entry in the series marredby a few setbacks. There is a ton of content including one of the best shooter campaigns I have played this generation. The push and pull method of the combat is addictive to master and a blast to play. Everything looks and sounds fantastic and this is a game that makes me smile as a fan since the beginning. While the generation may be coming to an end, Doom Eternal is one of the games that will send it off with a bang.
