Sep 23, 2014As a children's game, Disney Infinity 2.0 definitely delivers an adorable casual game experience. But as a game solely for grown-ups, it's a little lackluster due to repetition and lack of online play in the current Play Sets available for Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes.
-
Nov 11, 2014Infinity 2.0 shows that the franchise is on the right track, and it might just wind up on top.

Hyper MagazineOct 17, 2014A truly versatile play experience that should continue to grow. [Issue#254, p.64]

Oct 10, 2014The new interactive toys are a dream come true for any Marvel fan, and if you're a creative type you'll love the new Toy Box features. It's got its shortcomings, though, in the repetitive stories structure and in allowing us to just play the Avengers Play Set out of the box.
-
Sep 29, 2014Aside from the inevitable high price tag to collect everything for the game, I find this latest Disney Infinity to be a vast improvement over the first.
-
Sep 26, 2014Regarding the toybox, the progress is evident and worth every penny – especially with the wide range of readied community content. But when it comes to pure gaming content you not only get less than before out of the box, missions play out too similar too often.
-
Oct 18, 2014Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes is a game built on the foundations of its predecessor, with some technical improvements and a few interesting addition that expands the experience.
-
Sep 30, 2014Toys and videogames put together in a very solid and attractive product, full of possibilities. Kids are going to go nuts.
-
Sep 23, 2014We both thought it was an improvement on the original – not least because it demands fewer up-front purchases than its predecessor (you can now play co-operatively without buying additional characters) – but agreed that there’s still plenty of room for critical gamers like us to kvetch.
-
X-ONE Magazine UKNov 8, 2014It still feels clunky in places. [Issue#117, p.74]
-
Oct 3, 2014The fact is that most players will just want to hop in and play rather than build. Those players will ultimately be left wanting after play set boredom sinks in. Still, it is an improvement over 1.0 and it makes me hopeful for what we might see out of the eventual successor in Disney Infinity 3.0.
-
Sep 26, 2014It's missing some depth, for sure. But the potent editor and regular new playable content and worlds ensure that children especially will always have a lot to play and tinker with.
-
Sep 23, 2014Disney Infinity has a lot of great ideas, but a lot of content is reused between the PlaySets and the camera feels wonky at times. The game on its own offers good entertainment for all ages, but for the most diverse experience for you and your kids, do yourself a favour and buy the Guardians of the Galaxy Play Set as well. That combo will keep you entertained for a long time.
-
Sep 22, 2014Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes takes the first game, bolsters the Toy Box, crams in a bunch of new stuff and introduces some of Marvel Comics' finest characters into the fray. Any self-respecting Marvel fan is going to get a kick out of it, and the figures are fantastic, but repetition and slightly shoddy mechanics make the game a bit of a chore.
-
Pelit (Finland)Dec 16, 2014The well-designed toys are the highlight of Disney’s Skylanders clone. As a children’s game the new Disney Infinity falls short when viewed from a Nordic cultural perspective. Here, Marvel doesn’t really hold a status as a major cultural icon among 7 year olds. [Dec 2014]
-
Sep 23, 2014Disney Infinity is a series that should be awesome. A virtual toy box of beloved characters tossed into a game that should at least be competent enough to be fun. I gave the original the old college try, and was sorely disappointed at its lack of said fun.
-
Official Xbox Magazine UKNov 5, 2014Tries to juggle too many balls at once, ends up dropping most of them and hoping you won't notice. [Dec 2014, p.83]
-
Sep 25, 2014Nothing revolutionary but Disney Infinity 2.0 is definitely a good game for kids. If you are older, the toys will probably seduce you but the basic gameplay and graphisms of the game will be difficult to support.
-
Oct 13, 2014Disney Infinity 2.0 is lacking in content, even after you have paid out in excess of £120 for all the available playsets, and sadly what content there is is bland, repetitive and generally uninspiring.

Quite a disappointing follow up if I’m being honest. I didn’t find much enjoyment in this one. -
