Destroy All Humans! is not a complicated or even particularly difficult game. But it sticks to the original game's strengths.

Destroy All Humans! Is still a fun game in 2020. With the quality of life improvements and updated visuals it passes as a game that could have been released today, just not a showcase piece. I loved these types of B-tier titles last generation and am glad to see them making a somewhat return to prominence. Now if we could only get a new title in the series of the same quality I would be down with a next-gen version of Crypto’s shenanigans. Just forget that Big Will Unleashed ever existed and we will be just fine.

Destroy All Humans! definitely falls under the 'faithful remake' category, with great humour, short and sweet missions, and lots of stuff to blow up. Blowing things up does become repetitive, but it's still a lot of fun.

Destroy All Humans! is an easy game to recommend for fans of the original. It feels faithful almost to a fault as it carries the story, jokes, and somewhat antiquated game design with it. While there are some nice additions and decent visuals, it probably won’t do much to convince those who didn’t play it back in 2005 to give it a go.

Destroy All Humans is a fantastic remake of a cult hit from two generations prior. Fans of the original game will be happy to see everything they love is both intact and improved, while players who never got on board with the Furon Empire’s decimation of the human race can consider this the perfect opportunity to kneel before their new, less-than-benevolent overlords.

In my opinion, I feel that Destroy All Humans 2 should’ve been remastered instead since it was made and released at a later time period in gaming. While first time players might find it a little stale, bland, and repetitive, old players regardless will have fun with the game as it throws them back into a more simpler time period than the one we’re living in now.

Destroy All Humans! brings the original Pandemic Studios game to Xbox One, with a surprising graphical remake but keeping the original design and gameplay with too little improvements. The game is still pretty much enjoyable, but it brings with it some old flaws we would have liked to see reworked.

Destroy Al Humans! is what the original title was 15 years ago, but losing the surprise factor. It's still as much fun as it was originally, but it won't surprise you.

Destroy All Humans! is an integral remake of a very unique game that still offers quite a bit of charm and a lot of fun 15 years after its original release. Unfortunately, the satirical tone is not always in good taste, especially in 2020, and the sadistic gameplay gets a bit sloppy after a few hours.

Problems aside, Destroy All Humans' raw, chaotic energy is matched by few other games. It's by no stretch of the imagination perfect, but for those looking for a trip down memory lane, it's hard to beat

Despite everything, the fun is still present and exploding buildings, disintegrating agents of the Majestic or extirpating the brains of humans still has its small effect, 15 years after the original.

Destroy All Humans! brings back the game from the 128-bit era with new graphics, new features and even restored content that was left on the cutting room floor. It wasn’t perfect back in the day and it isn’t now, but it’s fun if you want to have some classic, straightforward action.

Like the original title, this graphic remake of Destroy All Humans! presents itself as a fun title for some gameplay ideas and for its style, without however being able to leave a mark. Unlike 2005, however, the renewed graphic version is not enough to balance a well aged, but still aged, gameplay. Who has never had the opportunity to help the Furon to conquer the earth, could find in Destroy all humans! a pleasant interlude from other more demanding or massive productions. Those who have already taken part in the invasion in 2005, this time may not find a satisfying stimulus to help the imperial cause.

Destroy All Humans! makes an earnest effort to improve on every aspect of the original, but it’s hard to avoid the issues stemming from the era in which it came from. Despite it’s numerous improvements, Destroy All Humans is still plagued with banal repetition and tedium especially as the adventure draws to an end.

Destroy All Humans! isn’t going to wow you. It will make you chuckle, however, and frequently put a smile on your face. It’s not overly polished, nor is it complex, but it is fun. Crypto is back, and we hope he’s here to stay. This alien’s got an attitude, but he’s lovable all the same. If anything, this remake primarily proves that he deserves more time in the limelight, and we’d love to see a fully-fledged new entry into the series at some point.

Crypto-137 is hellbent on ensuring that humanity meets a terrible fate. By comparison, Destroy All Humans has met an enjoyable-enough-but-certainly-not-amazing fate. That's fine, but it's tough to not feel as though something truly great could've happened with some more creative license. If nothing else, this remake left me thinking that Destroy All Humans is still a viable property and that a brand new game might not be such a bad idea. But maybe that's because an extraterrestrial has control of my cortex.

Destroy All Humans isn’t bad, per se, it’s just bland; a fresh coat of paint on a dated game, clunky in some areas and polished in others. If you received a free code (like I did for review) or are gifted this, jump on in. Would I recommend you purchase it? Not unless you’re a huge fan of the franchise or you like some relatively easy Achievements.

Destroy All Humans! is hard to criticize. It's not a bad game, it's just a product of its time. So you can only recommend it to those who liked it in 2005. These players will appreciate an upgraded visuals and laugh at silly, but still funny jokes. For others, it's a game with a repetitive gameplay and unremarkable visuals.

Destroy All Humans certainly shows its age in places. The stealth missions are rudimentary, the boss fights are tedious, and some poor audio work won't let you forget that this is a game from 15 years ago. However, its core loop of causing destruction and mayhem, laying waste to humans and cities, still feels satisfying. Destroy All Humans often feels like the PS2 game it is, but a fresh coat of paint and updated controls definitely make this remake enjoyable to play through today.

Black Forest Games did a fantastic job recreating the original Destroy All Humans, but its problems run deeper than superficial graphics. Its nostalgia and a few gameplay enhancements, while welcome, won't make this an adventure worth revisiting for most.

The brightest moments are when the action gives way to pure chaos. I watched electricity arc between humans, made brains pop out of heads, and turned a secret base into smoldering ruins with my spaceship’s death ray. But like a person floating above the ground in the glow of an abducto beam, those moments aren’t connected to anything substantial; they just make some noise and get flung aside.

Destroy All Humans! is never better than when you're carrying out the remit of the game's title. When you're doing stealth missions, it's not nearly as fun. As far as its remake credentials are concerned, meanwhile, this is a perfectly solid, serviceable piece of entertainment, if somewhat unremarkable. That said, if you lapped up Destroy All Humans! fifteen years ago, you'll no doubt be more than happy to do it all over again.

For a time, the beats of nostalgia carry this remake, but eventually, the goggles fall off and its dated gameplay is laid bare.
