Official Xbox Magazine UKAug 13, 2016An excellent action puzzle platformer, but unnecessary if you have it on Xbox 360. [Sept 2016, p.76]
-
Jun 24, 2016Deadlight is always challenging, but that the mix of shooting or fighting, climbing, running, jumping and solving environmental puzzles remains refreshing throughout.
-
Jun 21, 2016Deadlight: Director's Cut is fun like four years ago, but we miss more new features.
-
Jun 21, 2016A second chance to try Tequila Works’ side-scrolling zombie classic, but not essential if you played the original.
-
Jul 12, 2016If Deadlight: Directors Cut is the first time you've played, go for it. This atmospheric action platformer is still a great game despite its couple of flaws, and the new modes make for a longer and more difficult game if you choose it.
-
Jun 21, 2016Overall, Deadlight: Director's Cut is a good game even for those not into zombie apocalypse titles, but beware of the drawbacks.
-
Jul 16, 2016Deadlight: Director's Cut fails to add enough replay reasons for people who already finished it in the past. But if you never played it, it still keeps its original values offering a compelling horror experience.
-
Jun 23, 2016Deadlight is a unique game that boasts a lot of great ideas and atmosphere. This new version does what it needs to have the remaster moniker attached to its name, but I don’t see compelling reasons to revisit it.
-
Jun 21, 2016Deadlight still is a good game, with a very strong, full of personality artistic style, but this Director's Cut doesn't really add anything relevant for old or new players.
-
Jun 23, 2016Deadlight: Director's Cut is worth a look if you're new to this post-apocalyptic tale. However, if you've already played through the game in its original state, there's little reason to return.
-
Jun 21, 2016Quotation forthcoming.
-
Jun 21, 2016If you’re into not killing many zombies, and solving simple puzzles with a been-there-done-that story, I would suggest you get Deadlight. I for one don’t seem to know why they actually remastered this game since it’s better left on the Xbox 360, where it’s more relevant.
-
Jun 21, 2016In the end, if you’ve got the patience to deal with Deadlight: Director’s Cut’s problems you’ll find a decent game, but you should certainly exercise caution before jumping in.
