Jul 19, 2016As Dangerous Golf begins to build on its core mechanics – causing as much damage and mayhem as you can before putting the ball in a hole to bank your score – it continues to deliver a fresh take on the concept.
-
Jul 14, 2016As it stands however, there’s still a genuinely high amount of enjoyment to be had, but frustration will likely soon mount for most players once they reach the hazard levels and putting challenges. If you miss Burnout‘s Crash Junction mode though, and are looking for something that doesn’t take itself too seriously, Three Fields’ debut into the independent game market is still an impressive attempt that warrants your attention.

Edge MagazineJul 24, 2016At heart, Dangerous Golf simply wants you to make a big, beautiful mess, and it's an invitation that proves surprisingly hard to resist. [Aug 2016, p.108]

Official Xbox Magazine UKJul 14, 2016By turns brilliant and infuriating, this falls just short of being a score-chasing classic. [Aug 2016, p.80]

Jun 27, 2016Dangerous Golf is a fun game best played in short bursts and with friends.

Jul 3, 2016Dangerous Golf tries to recreate Burnout's Crash mode charm, but it unluckily fails to recreate both its variety and tactical depth, without even mentioning its huge frame-rate problems. What's left is a nice party game to play with friends, but you'll probably quickly forget it.

Aug 1, 2016Dangerous Golf is a weird game. On paper it sounds perfect, exactly what I would want from the guys that made t-boning cars so much fun. However, in practice it feels empty. Nothing about it screams “one more hole.” Even with the changes they have made this is an empty game that lacks anything to keep me coming back for more.

Jul 13, 2016It’s a somewhat amusing game, but DG feels and plays like a high-level mobile game, only it isn’t.
-
Sep 7, 2016Dangerous Golf isn't really a bad game, as such, but it's probably too expensive for what it is. I was really looking forward to playing it but have ended up feeling a little unfulfilled. It's a great little time waster, but I think it would have been better as a mobile game than something sold for $20 on the Xbox One.

Jul 13, 2016Don't get me wrong, the simplistic core gameplay mechanic of destruction can provide hours of enjoyment, but there are also hours of waiting, and it is the latter point that takes away from the overall enjoyment of it.
-
Jun 8, 2016Overall, Dangerous Golf is a fun and addictive game if you can tolerate the blurry graphics and low-resolution presentation. To be honest I didn’t have an issue with them but I know gamers who might
-
Jun 4, 2016The game doesn't do justice to the premise and is ultimately frustrating and disappointing as a result. The addiction factor is in full effect relatively early on, but the number of problems it displays will soon put paid to that for most players.
-
Jun 10, 2016Unless you have an absolute destruction fetish, Dangerous Golf provides, at best, only momentary bursts of fun. The concepts for a good game are there, but they aren’t utilized effectively and are hampered by severe issues. The game doesn’t feel good as a golf game due to the extreme lack of control and precision.
