Apr 8, 2019Dangerous Driving completes Burnout’s revival, but not flawlessly.
-
Official Xbox Magazine UKJun 5, 2019This really is just like Burnout. Less flamboyant, sure, but supremely enjoyable. [Issue#178, p.82]

Apr 18, 2019Dangerous Driving feels like the little engine that could. When it works, it is a fantastic experience. It felt like Burnout never left. The lack of music and compromised original consoles though really drags it down a notch. I wanted to love this game a lot more than I did, but as it stands it is an incredible throwback to the glory days of Burnout racing. I hope Three Fields eventually gets to where they want to be and makes a true AAA Burnout clone. I would buy it day one. For now Dangerous Driving is the best alternative we have had in years.

Apr 9, 2019Dangerous Driving is a fun but limited old-style racing game. Its sense of speed is exhilarating, but on a standard Xbox One/PS4 the frame rate drops to a not so exciting 30fps.
-
Apr 8, 2019An interesting take on the classic Burnout-esque racing games, but falls too short on its efforts when you are not on the track, with awful menus, a bad campaign design and lack of game modes to be a true Burnout successor.

Apr 8, 2019First of all, hats off to TFE for bringing Burnout back. It’s a shame the budget is holding back the experience, and some key aspects, like the handling or the physics need some tweaking. A few patches could make it noticeably better, and we hope for a sequel where everything comes together.

Apr 9, 2019Three Fields are doing the gaming community a service by keeping the arcade racing genre alive when the big boys seem to have lost interest. Much like their previous entries, there’s a lot to like here – from the fast, responsive action to the sheer thrill of smashing rivals and reveling in that takedown camera. Sadly, its bare-bones approach to modes, its erratic physics, and its barely improved technical aspects, keep it from reaching the heights of its inspiration.
-
Apr 8, 2019Disappointing is perhaps the best word to sum up Dangerous Driving. It could have been so much better, but instead it’s just passable fun. The saddest thing is, if you want a game that plays like classic Burnout, it’s the best option currently available. Like a cover band howling the tunes of your favourite but now defunct artist, it’s not a patch on the real thing, but you make do with what’s on offer. Dangerous Driving is good enough to provide some high octane entertainment, but it’ll still leave you craving a worthy Burnout successor.
-
Apr 24, 2019The spirit of the classic Burnout series is omnipresent. But before the fun kicks into high gear, the highspeed racer is taken down by AI problems or lackluster presentation.
-
Apr 18, 2019Dangerous Driving ends up being a Monotonous Bore. An arcade racer that doesn’t do anything particularly new or different. And really, when the crashes look like simple physics experiments from the late-90s that can trigger from the slightest of scrapes – it was destined to fall short of hitting its lofty Burnout spiritual successor goal.
-
Apr 8, 2019As a Burnout fan, I had high hopes for Dangerous Driving. Unfortunately, Three Fields' effort fails to capture the spirit and feel of its inspiration, and consequently, emerges as a pale imitation.
-
Apr 14, 2019For all the good in Dangerous Driving, there are many, many, moments of slackness. All of this combines to see Dangerous Driving deliver one of the most disappointing overall experiences I’ve had for a long old while.
