So after having about 200h of Playtime I think i can give a proper review to this pretty nice game.

Crossouts core is about crafting some vehicles, fight with it, recraft and improve them. So on the end you are feeling like being part of a MadMax movie which is really awesome cause the grahpics and the atmosphere are nicely done. The Controllings are very intuitive and easy to handle.

The Crafting Mechanics are the most fun part. Whatever you can think of being able to drive, you can build. Its basically the Minecraft for vehicles. Some parts of the Crafting Interface are a bit hard to get used to. but its only a matter of minutes

The fights are very action paced and easy to get in. take your car, join the fight, kill as much as you can. mostly the idea that you can destroy every single part of the enemy, which he stick to his car, is extremly fun.
if you are tired of PvP for some reasons you can for some PvE Missions huntind down Bosses with as squad of people.

To sum it up, Crossout got a lot of potential and im really looking forward what Gaijin will get out of all these awesome features

    Pros
-you can create pretty much any kind of vehicle you want
-damage system is fun, love shooting off enemy’s wheels and guns -pve missions with various tasks and bosses -fast paced battles -blueprint exhibition – the craziest things I’ve ever seen in videogames, minecraft is probably the only competitor Cons -interface, it took me some time to find out that I can change default

controls can be a bit strange to start with but once you get the hang of them, it feels natural - we need more games like this, but i love the concept and implementation, gaijin seem quite responsive to regular updates and interaction, hopefully the community can rise above the stereotypical view of Russian developers and give them some support, it is a great fun game and the sandbox ofcontrols can be a bit strange to start with but once you get the hang of them, it feels natural - we need more games like this, but i love the concept and implementation, gaijin seem quite responsive to regular updates and interaction, hopefully the community can rise above the stereotypical view of Russian developers and give them some support, it is a great fun game and the sandbox of creating vehicles is fantastic.

I absolutely love Mad Max vibes and the possibility to craft your own car. I'm having a blast with Crossout!

I mean, I like to create stuff and this one looks like a perfect playground for grownups with a strong passion for post apocalypse.
The combat is fun, the games are quick, the waiting time is short, I loved it. It's F2P and knowing that I think you should check it out.

Good game for fun. It has mechanics like robocraft, but much better. Tons of customization options for your vehicles. Literally, you can build whatever you want to.

Makes fun, will play a while. Sthing like mad max and robocraft in one game. Short game sessions, very fast gameplay. If you have fantasy you can build your car non-stop. Lego for warriors!

I am a simple man. I see cars and cannons I like. This game is a nice game to have fun. Also grindy but most of the time you enjoy playing it with your own ride, crushing your enemies or being crushed. It's in open beta, but already has a lot of content, I like a lot the possibilities to craft your own ride. there are no two vehicles that look the same! Sure you can buy stuff for real money, but that won't give you an advantage, seen that you are matched with other players that have the same Powerscore as you. So even if you buy the biggest gun, your score will increase that much, that you will face enemies that have also impressive weapons. No real advantage here. And you can get all the stuff in the game, without having to spend money for it, you can get it by (really long) grinding. So yeah cool game, not really p2w and a lot of potentials. Expand

    not bad!
its a decent game with fun mechanics.
but it's a bit hard to make progress without paying(but the game doesn't spam you with adds and offers)
is it pay to win? not really, the matchmaking system works by matching players on their ps amount.

GREAT PvE experience!! Also my favorite of any vehicle-building combat game so far!

There are other games which allow you to build vehicles, but this has reliable PvE (usually like 10-30 seconds to find a match), with fun map design and range of maps (for 4players vs. A.I. cannonfodder, or different maps for even more Players vs. bots in standard versus mode with competent enemy A.I.)

I laughed at and derided the season pass… until a few days before it ended, when I realized it was only $10 and would instantly give me a $#!^ton of powerful weapons with all the levels I had unlocked. Then I discovered actually doing its challenges on purpose was a heck of a lot of fun… but I would avoid buying the pass until you have a lot of levels, and/or don’t get fixated on completing challenges/reward-tiers.

Don’t spend money unless there’s a 50% off sale on packs you want.

Overall, there's nothing comparable at the moment to Crossout in terms of build freedom (there are some insane module & cabin combos!!) or if you prefer PvE over PvP.

Too heavy on microtransactions and too slow on player progress, Crossout shows an entertaining and solid gameplay, even if some uncomfortable control choices are frankly unexplainable. All in all, being it a free-to-play game, it surely deserves a try.

With its fun gameplay and interesting take on the online shooter genre, Crossout is a decent idea that sadly lacks depth.

If you’re looking for something to get your teeth into, something with a nice progression system and loads of content that will keep you busy, then Crossout is the game for you.
