Awesome action scenes, realistic sound effect's and the story is kind of there, those are the things you would predict from the next games in the future. Advanced Warfare isn't anything different but I would lie that it was a lot of fun and there was a lot of visuals to enjoy looking at.

The action scenes in this game are pretty amazing if I have to be honest. The sound as well is another thing that makes these games more playable because when a action scene is happening the sound really dose catch the impact it would have if it happened in real life.

The villain of the game Jonathan Irons played by the Oscar winning actor Kevin Spacey. Spacey did a fine job playing the villain, nothing really special I mean through out the game I kept seeing Frank Underwood from the TV show House of Cards which is nothing wrong with that I'm just saying.

The characters you don't really care about I mean they just stick in the mood point A to B characters that you don't get attached to and when something happens to them I'm there not caring at all.

Advanced Warfare is better than most Call of Duty games but as every year these games come out it's getting to a point where we know what to expect next and we will always be right.

The campaign was great however, and it was very enjoyable (especially because of Kevin Spacey) The survival mode is disgusting and should be avoided at all times, and the Exo Zombies was purposely delayed and withheld from user access just to be sold as DLC, hence my Candy Crush comment. Overall, the game was a good idea turned horribly wrong, and it is overall a meh game at best. Expand

Loving what I have played so far. The graphics are some of the best I've seen, the gameplay is smooth and fluid and its much more fun than ghosts. Still early days - but my first thoughts are that this game is the best COD in many years. The new combat abilities really change things up which makes it feel fresh and unique.

It's chaotic and much too fast paced, with all of the maps made for rushing flankers and no hope for defensive play styles again. The horrible latency, spawns, and dozens of flanks from Ghosts are back intentionally to help out noobs and narrow the skill gap, ensuring noobs could spawn near a good player, flank from any direction, and even if they saw them coming, they'd be instantaneously killed. Not to mention the fact that there are only THREE (3) shotguns, all of which suck, and 5 lmgs, of which 4 suck. Compare that to the 30+ assault rifles and smgs. Way to go, MLGaymers and eDorks.

Advanced Warfare is an average shooter. It sorta feels like COD, but it’s NOT the revolution Sledgehammer promised. AW believes it’s the lovechild of Black Ops 2 and Titanfall. The problem is both these games outclass AW in the very areas it tries to copy: map design and gameplay.

AW’s mechanics are clunky. Dodging requires precise timing, something casual players may not master. Other than double jumping, the exosuits are underwhelming. Exosuit dodging and boosting don’t work on inclines. Players simply bump into the floors and stop. Maps are full of ramps and stairs, so this is an inexplicable oversight. Melee is weak, awkward, and imprecise. Ledge grabbing doesn’t work well at all.

Map design is appalling. Despite the HUGE hype on verticality, players can only go so high. Trying to scale some buildings prompts an “Out of Bounds” message. WTF?! These are rather low buildings too. I’ve seen confused players jumping like crazy to access rooftops. If players can only access 50% of the roofs, why include them? It’s ludicrous to see “Out of Bounds” on the screen while exploring within the boundaries of the map.

The terrible map design doesn’t end there. Spawn camping is just too easy. A few hours after launch, I played several games where teams completely pinned their opponents in spawn. Players who managed to fight their way out of spawn were immediately sniped. Seeing that so soon shows how glaringly broken the maps are. Also, the small maps exacerbate the crappy spawns. Spawn deaths are more common than they ever were in Ghosts. Being caught in crossfire or being shot in the back is frustratingly common after spawning. Players often spawn directly in front of the opponent who just killed them (dying again immediately) or by objectives being capped.

The perk 13 system has been shamelessly ripped from Blops 2. Sledgehammer doesn’t hide this fact. I’m not upset it’s there, but the lack of innovation is surprising. With such low effort put into class creation, why wasn’t more effort been put into map design? Except for the exosuit abilities, we’ve seen all the perks before. Many powerful perks and weapons are unlocked early, reducing the incentive to rank up. Exosuit abilities are OK, but they’re weak. The health boost perk has little impact because players die insanely quick. The stim perk hardly enhances player movement. The shield is weak and doesn’t activate 50% of the time. Perks can only be used briefly. So no spamming. Unfortunately, their implementation is vastly inferior to other games.

Ghosts rightly nerfed scorestreaks shifting COD back to a gun-vs-gun emphasis. In AW, campers can earn overpowered scorestreaks once again. So embrace UAV and system hack spamming. Giant lasers anyone? Sheesh.

Advanced Warfare has markedly reduced weapon variety compared to previous COD entries. For example, there are 12 total AR’s and SMG’s in AW. Ghosts had 14, and Blops 2 had 15. See the trend? AW offsets this with supply drops. These are random unlocks that give players access to altered weapons, perks, and customization items. But these are based on time played and completing achievements. Casual players need not apply since most will not have the skill nor time requirements to benefit fully from this system. Overall, weapon balance is awful with only a 4 or 5 guns being practical choices. More weapons could be viable if AW didn’t have such horrific hit detection, which is undeniably the worst of any COD game.

Dedicated servers? Sledgehammer said AW will “support” them, but never confirmed if any of the platforms would actually have them. When asked about this on reddit after launch, developers didn't respond. Hype? Intentionally misleading? AW's terrible matchmaking service holds nextgen back and takes advantage of fans.

Graphically the game is jarring on next gen. Although colors are crisp and vibrant, textures are flat and there is a complete lack of depth. The environments are sterile and boring. Special effects are also glaringly absent. AW truly looks like Blops 2. That was OK on 360, but it’s not good enough for Xbox One. Ironically, loading times are really long. Furthermore, AW is buggy which is frustrating since AW was in development 3 years by 2 separate companies—Sledgehammer outsourced current gen to a different developer.

Fortunately, fan favorite game modes are back. And there is a classic mode that removes exosuit movement. So what about the campaign? It’s the same scripted, corridor affair gamers expect from COD.

AW will succeed because the majority of COD fans hate Ghosts. But AW will alienate hardcore fans while being inaccessible to casuals. Sledgehammer played it too safe and lazy. Legacy problems still exist, such as broken spawns, poor hit detection, overpowered scorestreaks, and bargain bin matchmaking. Since such problems linger, the exosuit is really a gimmick to mask the glaring imperfections of the series. Sledgehammer did nothing more than put lipstick on a pig.

The learning curve may be a little steep for casual gamers which is probably not a great thing. The allure of cod has always been its ease of access for all level of players. The quick scope crowd may not be happy with this game either. The movement of the game doesn't lend itself to the quick scope sniper. Gun balance is ok so far but hard to judge any of that before a few patches. If you are a fan of cod, you will assist and have fun. If you have never played cod, then I'd say pick it up for the campaign and give the multiplayer a try. Over all not a bad game. Expand

Okay. I so wanted this to be a step forward, especially after the farcical 'ghosts', and indeed it is, well if borrowing a few ideas from other games is allowed. So, COD AW adds a jet pack of sorts and this helps with the movement and speed. The exo suit thing is just a tool to hold/enable perks and grenades and visually looks daft. The gunplay is fine, better than the past two COD's anyway, and happy to see hard-core modes remaining. My biggest complaint, is although the map design (for movement) is good, the same old bland colours remain (with the exception of a couple of maps). So for me, just a par game. Not enough advances. (Oh, and its the same old channelled story, 'press a now', do this, fail and repeat etc...) 5/10 Expand

Point blank, more horrible than ghosts. The exo suits make the multiplayer god awful and the guns all seem to fire air instead of bullets. The story is bland and nothing jaw dropping and the exo survival mode is just as horrible and boring as you remember from MW3. Pass this game up, even if you can get it for free it isn't worth your time to even play for a second.

While not being that long or having much depth, the plot remains tense throughout. The graphics in the cutscenes are stunning and the motion capture is the best I've seen. The people look so lifelike. The attention to detail such as their eyes/face/expressions are amazing. The motion capture and realistic character models really bring the camaraderie aspect of the game to life. On the other side, the action is done very well, with lots of things going on the screen at once. Gameplay wise, its a refinement of the series, but if you aren't a fan of the Call of Duty series, this installment won't change your mind as its core mechanics are the same. They make TONS of profit and that's after paying everyone off... are you telling me they can't add dedicated servers?!

Barely anyone plays this game for single player so I won't even bother reviewing it. The multiplayer has all the issues from the previous cods combined into one. LAG and the poor lag compensation that comes with it. I'm a pretty good player but when I load a clip into a guy and he jet packs off, it really annoys me. Or better yet I laid a clip then have to reload and I die with 1 shot to my leg.

Another downfall is... THE COMMUNITY, playing with thirsty campers and low connection speed players put a good player at a disadvantage and makes you frustrated easily. Notice when you turn a corner to shoot and you get shots in but die? Then on the replay you didn't shoot at all or your killers screen is red? Yeah that's lag compensation. Mix that with a slightly slower reaction and you're screwed all the time. You have to be lucky to get in a good game with skilled players that actually explore the map and play the objective. Kills streaks are garbage because most are useless or require heavy camping to obtain (thirsty campers).

The community, he devs lack of innovation and support to fix issues or give back a dedicated server to its loyal fans really makes me hope that this franchise dies off. I'm praying the new cops n robbers Battlefield runs for going forward. They are actually doing things right minus kill streak rewards but meh. At least they make PLAYABLE games right? I advise the creators of COD to do some soul searching and think about creating a game that's fair to those paying for the same **** year after year... We want interactive maps (not just random floods etc but buttons to change the landscape), diverse weapons and balancing, better streaks, DEDICATED SERVERS(biggest issue). I get into games that remind me of what this game could be with those tweaks, I could deal with campers if the lag was gone but with that problem existing it's a campers best friend.

I cant play this game for more than an hr at a time or less due to the issues mentioned. Anyone rating this above a 6 is either not of legal age to play the game, is 6 years old or has no standards. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED, TGE GAME IS BROKEN. Good thing i didnt pay for this, i actually stopped buying at mw3. I advise you do the same, maybe a kick in the ass is what the devs need (but you will all buy the next one hoping for improvement year after year only to be tricked into buying the same game. R.I.P. COD... see you suckas online...
