In Battlefield I can play only Team Deadmatch, Conquest is too massive and boring.
For me best battlefield and finaly no 99 attachment for every weapon.
Also like the settings of maps and graphics.

This too, combined with an attempt at realism, as it flashes up made up names for made up people fighting in a made up battlefield. I'm supposed to forget that there were no submachine guns. That tanks were lumbering sheds hardly capable of anything. That planes didn't drop bombs but for out the window. I didn't, nor did I buy this pasty and pathetic attempt to convey that war is hell. War isn't kids playing a game, let's not cheapen it. Expand

A spectacular experience with amazing multiplayer and hard hitting action and visuals. This game is a genre-defining experience with moving storylines in the campaign which help reveal the people in and the horrors of WW1.

Only criticism - a short campaign which limits its hard hitting plots. A longer campaign would result in a perfect game. MUST BUY.

Battlefield 1 which dawns on the combat of “The Great War”or commonly known as World War 1.EA Dice discovered a fresh game design with the new genre of gameplay compared the past future or modern shooters in the past 10 years.

The Game developers have found a new and fun way to play with an extensive campaign featuring 6 war stories that show each theatre of combat in the 1914-18 war.The stories including 5-6 missions showing many ways to play so the player feels they are in a free world,Sneaking through a German encampment to find mechanical parts for your tank ‘Bess’ or playing as a volounteerl in the Italian Arditi (“The Daring Ones”) fighting up the mountains against the Austro-Hungarian forces in a full armor suit composed of steel.

On the other side the new 40-64 player multiplayer showing off the new “Operations” gamemode has completely blown players away.Drawing on all aspects of the war Operations provides you with the use of Armored Cars,Tanks including the A7V Heavy Tank help you capture the objectives and take the sectors to win the game. With the huge array of vehicles let’s talk about what you get if you don’t spawn in one.Players have a choice of 4 classes to choose from.Assault which utilizes sub-machine guns and explosives,Medic with mid ranged rifles and med packs,Support shows off LMGs and ammo crates and Scout utilizes the snipers and flares to spot enemies. If you decide to rank one of these classes up to rank 10 you’re rewarded with a rank 10 weapon including the Hellriegel,Selbstlater 1906,Huot Automatic, and the Martini-Henry.The impressive amount of weapons adds a lot of variety and fluid gameplay to lead your team to victory.

EA Dice. The developer of the Battlefield franchise uses the Frostbite engine to add the almost realistic graphics to make you feel like your are in the game.Battlefield’s gameplay is the most action packed and flowing battlefield game I’ve ever played since I started playing with Battlefield:Bad Company 2.Even though the game has a lot of positive things going for it there are quite a few bad things that can happen. For instance, sometimes when you spawn in your screen will be all black and you can only see your teammates icons, objective icons and spotted enemies.Another is sometimes you’ll lag out of place and end up falling out of the map or if your trying to destroy an enemy tank your explosives won’t do anything.

I received Battlefield 1 for my birthday and ever since I’ve only dealt with the bugs and glitches a few times and everything else has been amazing. The game is quite pricey at $60 but it’s worth it .I'm already level 54 and even though it takes longer to level up it becomes more exciting the longer you play to try and level up.Anyways my review on this game is mostly positive but if you want a fully detailed experience i recommend getting the game for yourself.

Battlefield® 1 brings fun back into history. Whether it be the “War Stories” of the campaign or the maps that resemble actual battles of World War 1.

This game really gives a new experience to first person shooters (FPS). Most FPS’s are going ahead to the future with jetpacks and lasers but Battlefield® 1 dives into the past going back to world war 1. The campaign gives players a chance to get a mixed battle style. One mission you will be fighting in the skies above the Alps, and the next you're a lone fighter in the Arabian Desert.

Dice and EA did a really good job on the multiplayer as well as the campaign. The class system lets you pick your way of war so to speak. You can choose the assault class if you want to be a front line fighter. The Medic class is self explanatory, running around to get revives. The support class comes with many offensive tools as well as ammo packs to resupply your teammates. The Scout class deals with snipers. This class comes with a flare gun as well as binoculars to help spot enemies.

There are also three elite classes which you can’t spawn in with. These three are the tank hunter class, flame trooper kit, and the Sentry kit. The tank hunter comes with a rifle that specializes in blowing tanks up. The flame trooper kit comes with a flamethrower called the wex. The final elite class, the sentry class, comes with italian armor that lets you take hits while gunning everyone down.

Overall my experience with this game has been amazing. Playing on the Xbox 1 it’s a little bit slower and lags more than pc. If you live in the Midwest expect a little more lag because you have to play on an east coast server.

I have been playing “Battlefield 1” for close to six months now after buying it for the Xbox One in October and I have played just about every other Battlefield game there is. “Battlefield 1” is unequivocally my favorite installment of the Battlefield series. The creators of the game took a risk in jumping back to world war one and challenging the games that have dominated the console market for years. Needless to say the risk paid off.

“Battlefield 1” is the first mainstream military shooter that is based on World War One which is a refreshing change compared to the exaggerated futuristic shooters of “Call of Duty” . The game captures the horror of all out war and transfers it to the player perfectly. The campaign in “Battlefield 1” is made up of six individual war stories with smaller “objectives” . Without a storyline based on a main hero the player will really be able to feel the affects of all out war and see how different groups of people viewed the war. While the campaign is not as long as some would like, it is easily the best campaign in any first person shooter thus far. The campaign provides amazing gameplay as well as some scenic variety from the Argonne Forest in France to the Sinai Desert in Egypt.

There is also something to be said about the multiplayer in “Battlefield 1”. Praised by many, the multiplayer consists of six different game modes Conquest, Rush, Team Deathmatch, War Pigeons, and Operations. The two new game modes being War Pigeons which is a new take on capture the flag, and operations which mirrors actual war with one side attacking and one side defending. The multiplayer gameplay will keep players playing for hours on end.

Overall I have a great experience with “Battlefield 1”. The campaign and the multiplayer are nothing short of amazing. The gameplay is smooth with few problems or frustrations, the controls are very intuitive, and the learning curve is minimal. I consider this the best first person shooter there is and would recommend it to well… anyone.

The campaign isn't very good, but no one was expecting it to be great either, it does serve as a good tutorial though. My only concern is that it takes really long to get into a game. for me, it takes 5-7 minutes on average for a game to load, and I have a pretty average internet speed. Anyways, the game is definitely worth a buy, and you won't find many other WW1 shooters like it. Expand

Absolutely ridiculous load times. Even things that shouldn't have any load time, like QUTTING THE GAME. Lots of camera bugs. Lots of framerate dips. The new "dynamic weather" just means the maps get foggy and impossible to see anything for half the match. There is no team balancing so almost every match ends up with one team having twice as many players as the other.

Battlefield 1... it's a game with a lot of hype behind it, especially with the leap to a WW1 setting in the game. So naturally, I had high expectations.

Come release, and the game is fun and looks absolutely amazing. The graphics are amongst the best I've ever seen, the sound tracks and the sound effects are fantastic, the general amount of balls DICE had to make the game and most importantly, the legacy this game leaves behind.

However, whilst the actual gameplay is decent enough... I have to admit I'm disappointed.

The rest of the game is actually pretty mediocre, and frankly, I find BF3 and even BF4 superior.

The gameplay feels clunky and the guns feel pretty damn horrible, sure, it's WW1 but you could have done a better job there. There is nothing new added to the table, even the new Operations mode, at it's basic core, is basically conquest applied to a rush map which happens to take place over multiple maps.

The customisation, is frankly for a Battlefield game, pathetic. There are so few weapons for each class, you may say otherwise with the bigger lists, but nope, that's because you have THREE OF THE SAME WEAPON. It just happens they are patterns of weapons with certain attachments. This effectively kills any degree of customisation, the only worthwhile thing to adjust is the zoom of your sights/scopes. Everything else in terms of weapon's customisation is frankly unnecessary. The inconsistent Warbond system, AKA, the Battlefield version of Reach's credits and Titanfall 2's merits systems, sucks balls, further making things worse.

The long level up times, lack of customisation and rewards and long winded warbounds mean there is a major feeling of no to little progression at all, making me feel like I've already seen the entire game compared to BF3, which lasted far, far longer.

The vehicle customisation is just idiotic, having to select the vehicle spawn and press a button IN THE MIDDLE OF A MATCH just to customise it is idiotic.

Speaking of vehicles, no one ever uses the Landship (Mark V tank), the FT-17 is hardly used, and everyone just uses the damn A7V. Probably because everyone wants to just use the big gun AND drive the tank at the same time. It's a shame because I love driving the Landship only to find players that are too impatient to stay in the sponson guns and no one actually just gets in. Vehicle gameplay is just bad.

The new Behemoth units can be powerful, but only with reliable teammates, otherwise they die in a matter of seconds to AA guns in the case of the airship, annoying Torpedo Boats (only used for that purpose and getting your backside to the otherside of the map) in the case of the Dreadnaught, and most tragically, the Armored Train dies to everyone using their favourite pieces of equipment! AT Grenades and AT Rocket Guns!

The War Stories, the new campaign mini stories, whilst a nice idea, are actually underwhelming, with needless stealth sections in places and poor stories. With only the compulsory and the first one being any good.

What's tragic is that you will probably have to pay for DLC to make the game more interesting and better, which sucks a lot.

Putting the bad aside, the best thing about the game is the legacy it will have, revitalising interest in WW1, especially as it starts moving out of living memory into the pages of history.

So, the game's graphics, sound design, the developers coconut balls and the legacy this game has is beyond flawless, and deserves 11 out of 10. However, the rest of the game is a mess. The gameplay feels sloppy, the War Stories are underwhelming, the vehicles are bad, their is a lack of innovation, a TERRIBLE LACK OF CUSTOMISATION AND PROGRESSION, and some frankly stupid design decisions put into the game. The result is a game which comes as a major disappointment. I can judge a game surely on good looks alone when it's actually a bit of a pain in the backside.

In fact, it annoys me when people say it's one of the best games ever, that couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, all the praise the game gets? BF1 doesn't deserve ANYWHERE NEAR the amount of praise it's getting now.

Hence, I have to give it an average rating of 5/10. It's alright, but it's got some bad issues in the design and it's disappointing.

With a emotion driven single player, an amazing game engine, a beautiful original score, and an addictive multiplayer, Battlefield 1 is the game FPS fans have been asking for. The single player campaign or, "War Stories", is so emotional from the open prologue mission to the very last story, that it kept me engaged and gave me goosebumps throughout each of the missions. With the cutscenes throughout the missions, it was like watching a movie, the motion capture was so realistic, it even had me fooled on knowing the difference between a video game and real life. Each character felt human and you could feel the raw emotion that they were expressing throughout the critical moments in the missions. The multiplayer as I said is addictive and hard to take your eyes off of, it is so amazing, the most satisfying part is the destruction which is amped up to max with improved detail. The new game mode, "Operations", is the showcase game mode in multiplayer where both sides fight to capture sectors of map until capture each control point, and of course all the original game mode are back in all their glory like, "Rush", and "Conquest", and now their is, "Team DM", "Domination", and a another new game mode, "War Pigeons". The arsenal of weapons at your disposal is big, really big, there is a lot to choose from, from the normal standard issue weapons that most known to in service in the war, to the exotic weapons that make every side evenly powered. This is a WWI game based on WWI, it is a historical game but it is more inspired by it than being a historically accurate game, but it is nonetheless a great tribute to all those who served in WWI. For someone like me who is a big Halo, and Call of Duty fan, I have suddenly became a huge fan of Battlefield 1 and the series, I really prefer this game over Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Like most people, we were hoping that Call of Duty would go back in time rather than going forward in time, but no one expected Battlefield to take the route, but they have amazed me more than Bad Company 2 amazed me when I first played it. To me Battlefield 1 is the best FPS game of 2016, and one the most memorable games I have ever played, and I will be playing it for years to come, but to sum this game up in one word, Unbelievable. This is one of the worst displays of any shooter of this generation, DICE could have thrown together random guns from every title they've ever made and it would still be better than the utter contrived mess of a game.

Almost through my entire time playing this game all I could see was the glaring flaws, exploits and glitches that were never ending. Some pistols were stronger than normal assault rifles, some light machine guns could beat a sniper at any range and the game is overall so unbalanced you may as well not even play it if you have it.

When DICE tried to patch these problems they made the game even worse and unbalanced just to show there utter ineptitude to balance a game in any sense of the word

Battlefield 1 has around 5 times less guns then Battlefield 4 shipped, customization is non-existent except swapping out guns with zero attachments unless you count a bayonet which literally every primary except LMGs can have

Certain maps such as the desert ones are so unbalanced that one time has almost certain victory on certain game modes such as capture the flag.

This should not be allowed and this games only redeeming qualities are it's visuals and setting, if you want a good shooter play Battlefield 4 before you play this abhorrent unbalanced mess.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. For an in depth (and very long), honest review please read below. Spoilers ahead!

When I first bought this game my first mission was to get online as fast as possible, and that is what I did. Upon getting online and into my first 'Operation', one of the new features added to this latest member of the Battlefield series I was in utter awe. The graphics, theme, weapons, the sound effects (oh those sound effects are to . . . die for) all draw you into a game made with passion. If you are on the attackers side of this grand version of capture the flag, the first time the whistle blows to 'go over the top' your heart will, as mine did, scream 'OH NEPTUNE!' For the defenders, in-place cannon and machine gun positions, barbed wire that injures and destructible cover adds to the beautiful WW1 theme.

Bullets, mortars, tank shells and mustard gas will all be thrown your way from the 32 player team opposing you as you dip, dive, duck, dip and dodge your way closer to the flag, with occasional blast from your weapon to keep the defenders heads down. I throw my gas mask on to stop me from chocking to death and 'bayonet charge', another new feature, the first British 'Tommy' I see (with a satisfying kill animation) and begin to capture the flag.

And this is where the inherent problems of the multiplayer FPS series start to creep in.

Battlefield games have always been team games. In the loading menu for the old but gold 'Rush' mode, one of the hints it gives you is effectively along the line of 'don't be a lone-wolf'. Thus during my very short lived career as a German 'Stormtrooper' I found to my surprise, or rather not, that 2/3rds of my 32 player team were still sat at the back of the map as the sniper class, not moving forward and not helping the team. This is a recurring feature, though not one you can blame DICE or even EA for. Camping, lone-wolves, the 'I shot him 10 times and nothing and he got me once and I died' themes are all present in this game in abundance. Sadly, the game cannot break away from the limitations of the genre.

However, speaking of DICE and EA some of the design choices for the game came as a major shock for me. Although the 'too many automatic weapons' critic rarely becomes an issue when online as the fast pace of play favours automatic weapons, the support class to name one issue, armed with LMGs, all seem to have a very low magazine size. This is a huge problem for a class who's number one job is to keep shooting, always! You'll find yourself reloading more than firing. Weapons feel very similar and progression is painfully slow (but I kind of like that).

Another issue, as always, is the drip fed DLCs. Two of the major factions of the ww1 era are not in the game, France and Russia. And the fact that the Austro-Hungarian Empire are referred to as just Austria comes as an odd choice for a game that revels in its history, clearly the second half of the Empire is in a DLC.

The campaign on the other hand is a treat. Split into six mini stories, all of which are dripping with emotion from a game that is trying, and succeeds, in taking itself very seriously. It is a shame that most of the maps from the campaigns didn't make it into the multiplayer experience, where 95% of your time will be spent. DLCs of course, see above.

    Overall . . .
    Pros:
Generally very satisfying MP (if your team work together).
Tone of the game is fitting and makes me genuinely feel sorry for killing the opposition.
    Music is awesome.
    Sound effects are awesome.
    Campaign short and sweet.
    WW1 theme works very well.

    Cons:
Very similar to other FPSs in terms of annoyances.
EA selling you half a game.
    Weapons feel very similar.

    8/10 Would recommend.

It's just a shame it doesn't do too much new in terms of gameplay

The campaign in the game focuses more on individual stories. The different chapters all follow different characters and put emphasis on different styles of gameplay. For example certain chapters focus on different kinds of vehicular warfare. This approach gives the single-player offerings a sort of episodic feel. The game also does a decent job of paying respects to the troops who gave their lives in WWI.

The different perspectives shown in the campaign are excellent in terms of gameplay. About the time you might get tired of tank combat, another chapter opens up that will put you in control of a plane. Then there are the more standard ground combat levels. Where the campaign falls short is in terms of storytelling. While trying to pay respects to WWI soldiers, the game fails to engage players emotionally. It's rife with facts, but given how little we know the characters it's hard to care about them. We also spend so little time with them before it's on to the next set of faces. As a whole the campaign itself is over in a jiffy and there's little reason to replay it. But at the very least it's an entertaining, if brief fight through WWI. One that has more diverse scenarios.

Yes, the multiplayer is without a doubt where the life and staying power of this game originate from. The use of the WWI setting allows from exciting new maps and fun new weapons to take center stage. The remarkably balanced vehicular combat and new modes ensure that hours of competitive fun can be found here.

New modes like Operations and War Pigeons fit right in with the established favorites. Operations in particular is likely to become the biggest hit. A combination of Rush and Conquest, Operations is the closest one can get in Battlefield 1 to experiencing the chaos of all out war. Certainly exciting and action packed, but all the activity can lead to frustration. Getting pelted from seemingly all sides and whatnot.

At the end of the day though this is still Battlefield. Same frustrations and highpoints. The WWI setting does do a lot to make things feel fresh again, but if you're already burnt out of the series or just never liked it in the first place, Battlefield 1 won't change your mind. The familiarity seeps through in every match. Reminding you that this is just the same Battlefield in a new skin.

But my oh my what a pretty skin it is. WWI might not be able to reinvent the wheel, but it does a lot to add more tread. Longtime fans of the series are sure to get a kick out of the new perspective and those looking for an alternative to all the futuristic shooters out there should definitely give this one a look without a second thought. It's the best Battlefield has been in years. It's just hard to not see how similar it is to previous entries in terms of the core experience.

Looks incredible but after a few days playing you will realize its no different to the previous games. In fact game play/strategy wise its not as complex as BF4 and other BF's. The vehicles are not that interesting compared to the multi weapon helicopters etc of other games. Single player is just as pointless as always and just like a interactive cut scene.

    Overall its the best looking

Overall its the best looking Battlefield but nowhere near the best gameplay.

If you dont care about less customization than in the other battlefields, this is a must buy. Campaign is good, but not the best. I cant say that about multiplayer. Multiplayer is again AMAZING.

Great graphics, great atmosphere, great sounds, and fluid mechanics and gameplay - that's exactly what one expects from an entry into the Battlefield series. This game is to Battlefield 4 what that Vietnam expansion pack was to Bad Company 2. That is to say, it feels like a BF4 expansion. It's still a good game, to be sure - but don't expect anything groundbreaking.

There are a few improvements, however. First off, airplanes are much, much easier to shoot down, so they're not as ridiculously OP as in previous iterations (BF2). They're also generally much weaker because it's, like, 1915. The anti-tank weapons wielded by infantry also feel much more powerful. I guess what I'm saying is that I always felt the vehicles were way OP in past versions of the game, but not so much in this one. On the other hand, you can repair your tank without even exiting the cabin, thereby keeping you out of harm's way...I guess the OP or not analysis on the tanks could go either way now that I think about it...

Anyway, it's a decent game, but nothing we haven't seen before.

overhyped as hell! THE GOOD:the single player was a big improvement over every bf game and I like the characters and the setting was a breath of fresh air the graphic sound are amazing and the game feels good, THE BAD: the single player was short as hell maybe 5 hours long and easy as hell and I was playing on the hardest difficulty while I did like the character you don't spend enoughoverhyped as hell! The campaign gameplay is standard fodder, but what makes it well worth playing are the stories that they tell. Short, but sweet and one of the few campaigns worth playing in the franchise imo. But we all know, you don't play a Battlefield game for it's "epic" campaign. You play them for PvP.

This games multiplayer is absolutely fantastic. Marred only by the high influx of new fps players and CoD transplants. Other than that, it runs great and the controls are tight and responsive. That being said the game still needs work in areas. The user interface is a little convoluted and the menus can be confusing if you don't take the time to figure them out. Simple functions like quitting right after a match don't work properly right now, but these minor issues do not affect the most important part of this games multiplayer, over all game play. Once again, these are minor complaints and will be improved upon over time and when that happens it will take my over all score for this game from a high 8 to a 10+ if it were possible.

Anyone who's never played this series and is interested or on the fence take note: IMO
This game has a high and intimidating learning curve. You do not simply pick up, play and do well. BF is not that kind of game. You spend the early part of your learning experience overwhelmed and dead. In fact, you die a lot starting out and it's frustrating as hell, but even the veteran players of the series have gone through it. So just know, it gets better and the learning curve is worth the frustration.

Innovative and honestly a lot of fun to play, still quite a few annoying bugs but it's expected with such a huge game. Still deserves a high score because it seems so far that DICE is trying their best to get fixes out ASAP.

    Asian players BEWARE
All Asian servers are either down or are not patronized with players, meaning you have to try your luck with massive pings to US and Europe servers. We all know what that means!

Support is a pathetic, take it or leave it, response.

    Never again EA, Never Again.

Being part of battlefield since the beginning I have learned to come into every release with an open mind, as good as Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 were (LOTS of hours were spent on Bad Company 2's Vietnam and Battlefield 3's close quarters multiplayer DLC releases as well ), I was disappointed with Battlefield 4 lackluster campaign and ok multiplayer maps. It made up for it in Battlefield: Hardline, in my eyes a vastly underrated release.
With the release of Battlefield 1, I loved the concept but really didn't know what to expect. Just with the fact it touching a subject we have not experienced yet, I welcomed the change. What we received is probably the one of the, best looking and most balanced shooter ever.
The campaign is one of the most fluid campaigns I have played, split between different aspects of the war, each campaign tugs at your emotions and doesn't let go. Definitely one of the most emotional campaigns I have played that makes you appreciate what these men went through.
The multiplayer is just as good, great maps with great weapons and modes
All around this battlefield is not only one of the best iteration released, but one of the best shooters ever released, you will not be disappointed

Battlefield one has a great campaign as well as an amazing multiplayer. Going back to world war 1 is the best decision they would have made. I would suggest this game to anyone who is looking for a good shooter.

I like it, I really do. However, in a world where gamers outright DEMAND customization, they give is the most basic, steamline guns and characters in BF since PC.

Why would you make us have to buy different gun builds to get certain equipment? And I dont mean to use at will. You are STUCK with whatever is on the gun. Let us unlock attachements like normal and customize at will, like

Let us unlock attachements like normal and customize at will, like ever other BF. You did tjis to make it seem like there were a ton of guns, but there arent. And for your info, look up all the huns in WWI. There were, suprisingly, a ton!

Lack of customization is why I cant go above 8....and that is pushed.

EA and DICE have done an amazing job bringing something fresh to the table in picking WW1 as the game's theme. Multiplayer is probably the best thing aspect of the game, and the well-built maps and cool game modes will keep me coming back to Battlefield 1 for the coming months.

There is no game that is able to deliver such an immersive war atmosphere and a multiplayer experience on such a massive scale like Battlefield 1.

With many games feeling hampered by a desire to try and blend authenticity with sensationalism, Battlefield 1 is a hell of a lot of fun – a visual powerhouse and a fine return to form for DICE that’s sadly hampered by stretches of extreme frustration caused by the studio’s desire to take one step too many into the past.
