    Strider isn’t the lightning-in-a-bottle remake that Bionic Commando Rearmed was. That was a clever reimagining, where the updates enhanced the experience rather than detracted, and every new armament felt like a natural requirement of the combat mechanics. Here, it’s overstuffed with nary a worthy challenge in sight.

Strider 1 and 2 were two of the best coin-op conversions on the Amiga home computers and the Sega Megadrive games console. Today it hits current gen consoles with eye-catching graphics and fast -very fast- action! I've been a great fan of the original game and I must say that this remake is fantastic, at least to my taste. Recommended for people who still love 2D action games.… Full Review »

It's a blast to play, feels incredible, and offers very different upgrades - unlike modern shooters where each gun just shoots a little different, the different cyphers offer completely new functions. My only gripes are that the game doesn't look all too great on current gen, but that is due to console limitations, entering the final boss area prevents you from getting any collectables you may have missed, and there is no New Game Plus. It's cheap, it's fun, and it'll last you a while if you're trying for 100%.… Full Review »
