  1. Even for $5, we expected more creatures to blast, rooms to explore and weapons to fire. Those glaring omissions make Lost in Nightmares a good, but not great journey into the world of survival horror. Good luck.
  2. All in all, a decent package for Resident Evil 5 fans, especially those who have a partner to tackle Lost In Nightmares with.
  3. The price is right for this expansion ... it's the length that is all wrong.
  4. It's not bad, per say, there just isn't enough of it. The inclusion of new characters for Mercenaries mode is good, but hardly worth picking up the pack for, unless, again, you happen to be a complete loyalist to the series.
  5. There’s no compelling reason to download this episode by itself—and this limp-wristed return to horror leaves a lot to be desired.
  6. Although the look and feel of Resident Evi 5's new chapter is really close to those of the first adventures of the saga, it lacks the action, the riddles and the spirit of the best Resident Evil stories. The new Mercenaries Reunion mode is merely the addition of a few fighters and we still miss some of our favourite characters. At least the price is not expensive, and the adventure fills an important gap, although we already knew almost everything of what it happened in the Spencer Estate.
  7. With a campaign chapter lasting about an hour, and only two of the eight Mercenaries Reunion characters available with it, Lost in Nightmares feels like a paper thin package. Truth be told, Mercenaries fans may find enough to love this DLC, but gamers looking solely for a good story mission will feel short-changed.
  8. I like the concept of returning to the mansion (or its doppelganger) with a new emphasis on teamwork, and I like the two additions to Mercenaries, but there isn’t enough substance in action, storytelling, nor the puzzles to make Lost in Nightmares stand out.

It includes an hour long episode that recalls the old school Resident Evil entries. A prequel to RE 5, the game starts out in a spooky mansion that recalls the one featured in the first game. The episode concludes in the catacombs with a few tense encounters. Overall, I like how "Lost In Nightmares" embraces the survival horror roots of the series. The new extra characters for the Mercenaries mode is a nice bonus. Overall, I would rate this with an 8 out of 10. Full Review »

The problem with a lot of these reviewers is that they were "expecting" more. For $5, I wasn't expecting much and quite honestly feel I got MORE than my moneys worth. Lost in Nightmares is amazing and if nothing else, serves as a $5 demo showcasing what RE6 could look like. Fix the door entry transition, and this would be a perfect 10. Full Review »
