Everything you could have dreamed of in a resident evil game all in one!! downsides are: a little short (but still a gud 3 or 4 plays replay) and no save system. Love it though!!

Even for $5, we expected more creatures to blast, rooms to explore and weapons to fire. Those glaring omissions make Lost in Nightmares a good, but not great journey into the world of survival horror. Good luck. The problem with a lot of these reviewers is that they were "expecting" more. For $5, I wasn't expecting much and quite honestly feel I got MORE than my moneys worth. Lost in Nightmares is amazing and if nothing else, serves as a $5 demo showcasing what RE6 could look like. Fix the door entry transition, and this would be a perfect 10. Expand

I'm surprised the reviewers are giving this DLC such low scores because in my opinion this is what Resident Evil 5 should've been. It's scary, tense, eerie, and a tease of what a true next-gen Resident Evil experience could be with today's technology. I just wish it had zombies, than it'd be perfect.

This DLC is a deal at five bucks. It includes an hour long episode that recalls the old school Resident Evil entries. A prequel to RE 5, the game starts out in a spooky mansion that recalls the one featured in the first game. The episode concludes in the catacombs with a few tense encounters. Overall, I like how "Lost In Nightmares" embraces the survival horror roots of the series. The newThis DLC is a deal at five bucks. 1. There’s no compelling reason to download this episode by itself—and this limp-wristed return to horror leaves a lot to be desired.
  2. With this DLC, Capcom tried hard to both deepen Resident Evil 5's storyline and please seasoned fans of the saga, who still want more survival horror action. And Capcom mostly succeeded in this intent, but the game in itself is really too short to be more than a nice addition.

A sublime pack for Resi veterans with great replay value. Essential. [May 2010, p.120]
