Mar 24, 2011With its breadth of content, incredible amount of collectibles (even if their placement isn't as intuitive as I would like), and the new Assault game modes, this is one of the best Lego games created yet.
-
Mar 23, 2011An amusing and entertaining game, and a great addition to the series. With the new game modes and game play elements, LSW III is a must have for any fan.
-
Apr 10, 2011Overall, I really enjoyed LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. Even if you're not a huge fan of the LEGO titles, it's hard to deny that Traveler's Tales has managed to refine the formula of what makes these games work. Toss in the standard co-op mode, which is always a lot of fun, and you've got a great time-waster on your hands here.
-
Mar 31, 2011Yet these nitpicks have but barely interfered with the fun I'm having with Lego Star Wars III. With all of the additions, it's the biggest and most enjoyable Lego game yet, and even better, it shows that something good can indeed come out of the awful Star Wars prequel trilogy.
-
Mar 31, 2011Certainly plenty of fun to play, and the overhauled visuals make it an absolute treat. While some of the puzzles can be borderline obscure, it's not enough to deter both LEGO and Star Wars fans from getting some serious kicks from this game.
-
Apr 19, 2011A very good game, with great graphics and sound together with the signature LEGO games gameplay.
-
Mar 22, 2011Even with so much of the gameplay clinging to the formula Traveller's Tales created for its first LEGO game, The Clone Wars offers a vastly different experience that captures the best of both of the LEGO and Star Wars licenses. It's easily the best LEGO game to date.
-
Mar 30, 2011The game's replayability is arguably the greatest in recent gaming history, with so many reasons to keep going back, from the plethora of things to unlock, to the endless things to smash.
-
Mar 22, 2011This game is a tremendous leap forward in Lego game development, something that involves the player more than it ever has, even if the basics remain the same. It has replay value galore, and offers multiplayer fun for all ages. Surely, the Force is strong with this one.
-
games(TM)Apr 25, 2011The best Star Wars game in almost a decade. [Issue#108, p.128]
-
Apr 11, 2011One of the best Lego games so far, and the bigger challenge is a nice surprise.
-
Apr 1, 2011Another great LEGO game set in the Star Wars universe. This time Traveller's Tales brings us in the middle of the Clone War, with new (and old) characters, new quests, new graphics engine, new animations and a new, and surprisingly enjoyable, Conquest Mode.
-
Mar 29, 2011There's plenty of things to like in LEGO Star Wars III, though some of them might be buried a little too deep for younger players.
-
Mar 28, 2011There's ambition here that you wouldn't expect from a series on its eighth iteration. While stretching those boundaries has meant that the game loses some of its structural shape, the moment-by-moment experience is as enchanting and engaging as any previous entry.
-
Mar 27, 2011The best Lego game so far and one that defies both its simplicity and familiarity for an almost effortlessly entertaining co-op experience.
-
Mar 25, 2011The Clone Wars is no bold new chapter for the evergreen franchise, but give it five minutes and you'll soon succumb. The Force is still strong.
-
Mar 22, 2011While the visuals still retain that "kiddie-game" feel, the animation is much improved, and the lighting and shading are surprisingly deep for such a younger-geared title. It's a much more vibrant-looking LEGO title, and the animations are on par with the same type of CGI that the TV series itself is animated with.
-
Apr 4, 2011It's surprising how Telltale, after so many titles, still shows this kind of ambition, adding tons of new content and brand new ideas to the classic gameplay. On the other hand, it's a real shame that every new piece of gameplay doesn't feel as connected and polished as the good old stuff, resulting in a mixed final product.
-
Mar 24, 2011LEGO Star Wars III lacks new ideas and a well known movie as its base, making this game seem kind of lackluster in comparison to the old LEGO Star Wars games.
-
Apr 11, 2011It's repetitive, yet quirky fun that's on offer in this latest LEGO Star Wars inspired title. The gameplay can prove rather addictive, and with co-op thrown in, it's perfect entertainment for the family, though the lack of online support certainly proves a hindrance.
-
Apr 9, 2011When Lego Star Wars III sticks to the basics, it's still a crowd-pleaser. [May 2011, p.76]
-
Mar 31, 2011The main problem is that even with the replay value in each level, you probably won't really feel like replaying everything again. Unless you're a true completionist, there's not much of a draw to replaying a level that's essentially the same thing as a number of other stages.
-
Mar 28, 2011This is still a good and entertaining game, with some cool improvements like split-screen and more diverse situations, but maybe it is not as inspiring as previous versions.
-
Mar 22, 2011The atmosphere is downright adorable, and the use of the license is excellent. Most importantly, though, the various types of gameplay that the developers have thrown together may not be all that amazing on their own, but the elements work together to create a well-paced, easy to understand game that is good fun for anyone.
