Games Master UKMay 6, 2011The quality expected of a Lego title. We're just not convinced the license it. [June 2011, p.80]
-
X-ONE Magazine UKApr 25, 2011A wildly ambitious kids' title whose signposting marginally can't keep up. More of this but clearer, please! [Issue#71, p.84]
-
Apr 19, 2011It's another enjoyable often humorous romp through the Star Wars Universe that is sure to be a joy fans both young and the young at heart.
-
Apr 19, 2011The new installment of the LEGO Star Wars franchise has turned out to be a good game. Every aspect has been improved but you'll often find yourself lost, not knowing what to do because of the unclear mission objectives.
-
Apr 17, 2011Traveller's Tales did a good job with the first Lego Star Wars. Since then they've just pressed the "repeat" button with new licenses. It's still good, but lacks new ideas.
-
Apr 12, 2011A game that sticks to its roots, for better or for worse. It could be entertaining to the max for fans, but probably won't succeed in pulling in a new audience.
-
Apr 8, 2011Lego Star Wars III should easily be the best the series has to offer. With superior graphics and a decent variety of game styles, it easily overcomes any shortcomings in narrative. Unfortunately, the same problems that have plagued previous Lego games are still on display: difficult to control vehicles, overly simplified combat, unresponsive controls, glitches, drawn out levels, and poor guidance.
-
Apr 4, 2011It's the best game in the LEGO Star Wars franchise, but it still has some annoying design flaws that affect gameplay.
-
Mar 24, 2011Lego Star Wars III is just more of the same, with fewer improvements than Lego Harry Potter. But it's still fun, with many things to do, and a great sense of humour, so any Lego or Star Wars lover will have a great time with their beloved characters in this new game.
-
Apr 14, 2011Never once have these games become so boring they aren't worth playing, but there comes a point where that sense of deja vu is so prominent, you crave change.
-
Apr 1, 2011The Clone Wars offers an ambitious step up from previous games in the series, but a ton of small issues across the board lead to boredom and frustration.
-
Mar 28, 2011Lego Star Wars III has some interesting, innovative concepts that sound great on paper, but they ultimately fall apart the moment the game gives you control. What you end up with is one of dullest entries in the entire series.
-
Mar 30, 2011For every step forward the latest LEGO game takes, it takes another step back. Disappointing, to say the least.
-
Xbox World 360 Magazine UKApr 20, 2011Lego games are still charming but this is too bitty, and too familiar, for our tastes. [June 2011, p.103]
-
May 18, 2011All the staples of the series are back, including the drop-in drop-out co-operative play, and it's these which define the title more than the new features.
-
Apr 12, 2011Like Traveller's Tales' LEGO saga last episodes, this new LEGO Star Wars isn't surprising but gameplay and rhythm are more mastered. A cool adventure, especially when you have a friend to play with.
-
Mar 29, 2011It may not banish Lego-fatigue from hardcore gamers, but Lego Star Wars III adds enough polish and variety to make it appealing to budding Jedi of all ages.
-
Apr 14, 2011It's exciting to see the Lego games attempt to innovate, and some of the battles can be truly epic, but all sense of awe and fun is destroyed by persistent issues across the board, leaving players confused and frustrated. The trademark Lego charm is still just about present but is quickly wearing thin.
