Gauntlet is a blast with friends Xbox Live, just convince at least one friend to get this and you'll have a good laugh.

Right from the start you're surrounded by creatures that suck away your life. The only way to get ahead is to learn a novel's worth of tricks and memorize the mazy layouts - something only the old-schoolers may have the patience for.

Four-player online support makes the Xbox Live Arcade version of this fantasy arcade classic a worthwhile, inexpensive indulgence for nostalgic fans of the good old days of gaming.

Visually and aurally the game is pretty much the same as before. Of course, running the game on an HD set will make it sharper, but this game still looks and sounds much like it did in 1985.

Hardcore Gauntlet players will probably buy yet another copy of this game if for no other reason than the ability to play multiplayer over Xbox Live, which is admittedly a good reason to play what is otherwise a very dated and boring game that will try your patience rather than test your RPG skills.
