Jul 8, 2013In essence, Capsized brings to the table a well-balanced run-and-shoot style game that can still be enjoyed even after being around for a couple of years. The arcade genre is constantly filled with class and yet are so cheap—this one definitely is no different. And for 10 bucks, what do you have to lose trying it out?
-
Jul 5, 2013Capsized is a linear, hectic, tight action game with a strong eighties/nineties vibe and a very unique visual style. If you're not looking for the depth and the exploration of a "Metroidvania", you will not be disappointed.
-
Jul 22, 2013Capsized is a really well balanced run and gun game that can be fun and challenging for many players.
-
Jul 12, 2013Although Capsized may never attain the name recognition of older 2D games it does manage to seek out new life in an old genre. Although the point of the game is to escape the alien planet, we found ourselves wanting to go back again and again.
-
Jul 9, 2013It's been a long time but finally Capsized gets its place in the home consoles digital delivery platforms. Some little issues whit the new pad controls doesn't change the good old school feelings about the gameplay.
-
Jul 30, 2013Capsized is the clear demonstration that 2D titles still have a lot to say, in terms of graphic and artistic fascinations and pure fun.
-
Jul 18, 2013The only good reason not to buy the Xbox 360 version of Capsized is if you already played it on your PC. Otherwise, you'll meet a well designed and intense platform like there aren't many on Microsoft console.
-
Jul 11, 2013After two years, one of the most captivating and surprising PC “indie” platform arrives on consoles… and it’s still a winner!
-
Jul 10, 2013When you look at the core mechanics, especially the shooting, Capsized could be more refined but nonetheless this is a charming oldschool action platformer with an extraordinary art design.
-
Sep 9, 2013A throwback to SNES platformers for your Xbox 360.
-
Jul 18, 2013There are some issues related to the control, but still we think it's a very enjoyable experience. The difficulty of some sequences are worth mentioning, reminding us of the old-school games.
-
Jul 12, 2013Classic gameplay and good visuals, Capsized is a solid and nostalgic game.
-
Jul 8, 2013For those who’ve already played Capsized on PC, the console version comes with four extra levels, but I don’t know if that’s enough to justify buying the whole game again unless you really liked it and are desperate for more content. If you haven’t played it yet, and are on the hunt for a cheap and charming, if at times frustrating, indie platformer, then a journey with Capsized’s crew is a good way to go.

Games Master UKSep 1, 2013For those who enjoy a devious logical puzzle, although even on normal difficulty it offers a stiff challenge. [Oct 2013, p.71]
-
Official Xbox Magazine UKAug 19, 2013Gently frustrating but well put together. [Sept 2013, p.93]
-
Jul 24, 2013If you can get past the occasional buggy-ness of it as well as the repetition, Capsized does have some appeal to it with its great visuals, sweet electronic music and gameplay that gives enough variety to carry you through its short campaign.
-
Jul 17, 2013An enjoyably old school arcade adventure that also manages to feel thoroughly modern, with a great mix of action, puzzle-solving, and almost survival horror style exploration.
-
Jan 10, 2012If you don't mind a little aggravation, Capsized has its charms. [Feb 2012, p.72]
-
games(TM)Aug 21, 2013It's just a shame the combat side of Capsized is hampered by something the developers can do little about. [Issue#138, p.115]
-
Jul 9, 2013Capsized isn’t without its fair share of problems, nor does it provide something you haven’t seen before. Still, it does a great job telling a story of survival and creates an eerie ambience worth experiencing. Not everyone will appreciate its perplexing soundtrack, nor tolerate its iffy controls, but if you don’t mind putting up with some irritating moments and would rather play the game on your console, this little astronaut tale is for you.
-
Aug 8, 2013For a game built on such a solid mix of exploration and combat, to have both systems feel so broken is almost criminal, especially when a different, better version of the same game exists on another platform.
