All the video game websites that had no balls to be truthful and give mw3 a low score which it deserves since it is a recycled game the same game as before can take the money activision payed you to give the game a high score can shove the money up each of your bunholes. And all the call of duty fan boys out there congradualations for being robbed of your money by activision.

I feel like clarifying my last review on this game. Black Ops was my first Call of Duty game. When I started i was horrible. With practice I became very good. There are all sorts of ways to play Black Ops: run and gun, corner camping and team camping, etc. I was a run and gunner while my signifcant other was a corner camper. We would literally cut off half of the map. My clan would rarely lose. We would have an idea of the area of where teams would spawn but wouldn't be able to cover the spawn by sitting two feet away from them. This brings me to MW3. I still run and gun which gives me little chance to be succesful. People literally spawn just feet from me and usually behind me. Earlier tonight I spawned in the middle of a building and had three people surrounding me. I was screwed. Another map my buddy was sitting on a wall shooting people who were spawning two feet below him. Aside from the spawning issue the guns are inconsistent. The power of weapons seems to flucuate greatly. I could go into more detail but puting this much time into reviewing this game after spending $120 for two copies is making me angry. I will be selling my copy to Gamestop tomorrow and play Black Ops until the next one comes out.

When you make billions of dollars after blacks ops you think you could actually put some effort into the next game and make a good story mode that is more than friekin 5hrs. I payed 65 dollars for a story mode that was full of just shooting 20 guys then get in a car and kill 10 followed by kill 30 more. The story is BS. Top it off with multiplayer being the same just added map packs. Rip off.

I first want to say, that I liked Modern Warfare 2, it was al-right and addictive. I hated Blacks ops, really stinks as bad as BO (Hence the acronym?) Modern Warfare 3 is nothing new. Its the same cookie-cutter shape as the last 3 (or 4?) years now. The Call of Duty series just needs to be laid to rest before it loses all of what's left of its dignity as modern shooter.

Is there really any question to why MW3 has already SHATTERED Black Ops release numbers? Which btw Black Ops shattered MW2's. This is a trend for success so there's NO way the "user reviews" on this site are that low, this is a quality product. I've spent 22 hrs on the game already and it's constantly refining and perfecting the formula I've come to love since call of duty 2. I know Black Ops was a little slow in the beginning and it sped up over a couple months, but the alternation between multiplayer developers shows that they are unwilling to share their experiences with each other to help the franchise evolve. The maps don't vary in size at all like Black Ops did and they seem a bit small. The spawning points in the multiplayer are erratic and I usually end up dying within two seconds of respawning once or twice a match. The map size also contributes to dying immediately after a kill because of how close the next enemy is. I have never played a Battlefield game before, but I might since MW3 has seemed to be a bust. The reason for a mediocre score is because the game has potential and can be updated to fix all of the flaws, but it will take a miracle to turn this game into a 10/10. I highly suggest to anybody thinking about buying this game to hold off for a month or two when they finish fixing all the bugs they decide to fix. Expand

Spawn system spawns people directly behind enemies without a friendly being close by. Constantly dying from behind when you just checked that spot a half a second ago. Constantly dying from behind when you just checked that spot a half a second ago. Die so fast there is no time to react. In Black Ops I could turn around and kill the guy half the time, not here, instant death. Three bars is impossible to play with(I have a 25/3.5 connection), bullets have at least a 500 ms delay; one shot deaths, dying before the enemy is even around the corner, pre-fire people just to die instantly, hit detection is horrid (watch theater mode and see your crosshair smack in the middle of his chest without any damage being done). Watch kill cams and half the time your bullets didn't even leave your weapon on their screen. Knifing thin air grants a kill, knifing from 10 feet away grants a kill, knife going to their skull does not grant a kill. Sniping is too easy, way too easy; snipers can shoot as fast as mk14 with zero recoil and 1 hit kills, scoping is instant and has zero sway. Throwing knife takes forever and doesn't register 99% of the time. Did I mention hit detection is horrible? Can't shoot through 99% of objects; chain link fence with a plastic cover is bullet proof, sheet metal as thin as paper is bullet proof. A perk is immune to CUAV, thermal scope, Advanced UAV. Juggernaut dies from one grenade. Killstreaks die too fast; pavelow ("heavily armored") gets shot down before it can shoot one bullet. Last stand is still in the game; deathstreaks are in the game. Elite fails at launch; trying to cut costs with minimal servers was a bad idea. Leaderboards full of boosters and hackers (more played time than the game has even been out). Too casual and noob friendly. I feel like I'm wearing paper instead of kevlar with the 1 to 2 bullet deaths. Players blend into the environment too well. The spawn system is broken; players spawning out of the blue not next to a friendly player, but behind enemies. Campers and noobs are rewarded too much. The SMGs all suck, no bullet penetration making double kills near impossible with them unless pulling host / 4 bars.

Major problem with "head peaking"; On your screen all you see is the tippy top of their hair sticking out, where as they see their entire gun peaking over.

Maps are OK, a few of them too cluttered with unwallable objects. All the rifles look the same. The sound is horrible; m60 sounds like it's shooting plastic, footsteps are barely distinguishable from ambient noise (I'm wearing headphones that hurt my ears from being too loud sometimes).
Oh yes, match making takes forever; lobbies take longer to fill up than the game takes to end; not to mention the 45 second intermission between rounds causes people to leave simply from taking too long. Did I also already mention that bullets don't register half the time?
Last few months of Black Ops was a FAR superior product. Perhaps MW3 simply needs time to patch problems. I still wonder why they request the help of an inexperienced (Sledgehammer) team instead of asking Treyarch who have plenty of experience. Graphics do not bother me, if I wanted good graphics I'd play PC; also 60 FPS with OK graphics is still superior to 30 FPS with great graphics when it comes to shooters. I would consider BF3 at this point but I do not like large maps and vehicles. So I am stuck playing this or nothing at all.

And do you know why I didn't say better? It's because not one game is any better then the other. BF3 and MW3 honestly can't be compared to each other because they are COMPLETELY different genres of the FPS. Now I have played both games and I do prefer MW3 over BF3. Now I'm not going to get into details on why because I could talk all day about that. Why I really came here was because of how sickened and off-put I was by the disrespect and ignorance that is being presented here. Both company's, Dice and Infinity Ward, have put so much work and dedication into these games. For people to come here and give the game a 0 out of 10 just because they want BF3 to look more superior is pathetic. The step up from World at War to Black Ops was immense; the entire game felt different, unique and innovative. MW2 to MW3 however does not; the HUD is almost identical so is the Visuals, even most of the most. Treyarch have done wonderful things with Call of Duty; Infinity Ward struck lucky with MW1 and have never really built a solid superior game to continue their momentum, this show in MW3.

Then after much success with MW2 They Relase MW3, and i have to say that online multiplayer sucks majorly, and i dont say this through personal skills and scores, Im not perticularly sure if this game is played on a server or on a host connection, but whatever it is, doesnt work, if you have a slightyly less effective connection than the host, then thats it, your buggared, expect a Low K/D difference. A MAJOR example of this falls on one weapon, the type 95 assult rifle, if you are host, its one hit kill, if you are on a good connection, its one burst kill, and for the rest of us, it takes two bursts IF your able to hit them. Another issue i feel with the maps are that they are majorly small, in comparison with MW2 which had a wide variety, MW3 seems to be all small maps, with the addition of stupid spawn placements due to lack off space, its like Wetwork of Cod4 but shapeshifted to differnt shapes and levels, and this doesnt work, and no doubt map packs are to be released at a stupid amount of MS points. and the hype surrounding this game definatly doesnt live up to the reputation, if anything its been let down from lazyness.

YES the setout for CoD works but NO we dont wanna pay £40 (or respected amounts in other currency) for something that could be relased as DLC with additional maps, guns, kill streaks, and attachments, because other than the Tweaks to the graphics, MW2 feels alot smoother gameplay wise. Recently ive seen people with hacked clan tags too, which shows how lazy they have been at *steeping up security* on the game, yes right now its only a clan tag, but it could easily turn out to have hacked servers, like that period on MW2 where you had automated unlimited noob tubes, i dont feel that the people behind the game take care of us gamers, and that other companies like EA and DICE do listen to the community. the only decent thing which is the only reason why it gets a mark is survival, which is a fun game mode for up to 2 players with much potential to either get better with DLC or broing if its just new maps. overall, if you want a more fruitful online experience, then Battlefield 3 is the way to go. And if you want a predictable end to the franchise then get MW3. #*SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!*# p.s everyone but Captain Price Die, which sucks.

Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.

Modern Warfare 3, while still an excellent thrill ride in its own right, feels far too similar to MW2 or even Black Ops for my taste.
  3. I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
