PokePark 2: Wonders Beyond

A simple game, but that's not a bad thing. The warm, welcome graphics and fantastic music are the perfect frame for a game of this type. It's simple but it's fun, and at the end of the day that's all that really matters.

PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond could have been something great for the fans of Pikachu & friends, but the game disappoints with bad controls, the missing rpg-elements and a poor presentation.

There's nothing really wrong with PokePark 2: Wonders Beyond, but there isn't a lot right with it, either. It is an adorable but mediocre game.

Despite being somewhat shallow, it's apparent that a lot of polish went into the making of PokePark 2: Wonders Beyond. The world and the characters within are amazingly well done - if only the game itself was more engaging.

The developers also addressed many of the issues from the first game such as adding some small multiplayer support, and providing additional content after the game is finished. Still, it doesn't span the wide range of demographics as the handheld RPGs and this spin-off series is still best suited for a younger audience. And, the $49.99 price tag is just too much for a game such as this in my opinion.

PokéPark 2 suffers from clunky controls and a lack of challenge. Only the young Pokémon fans will overlook that for an overall happy and cuddly game.

Despite its shortcomings in terms of the control system and extremely low difficulty setting, PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond proves to be a far more substantial and engaging outing than its predecessor, yet unfortunately will only really appeal to younger fans of the Pokémon series.

The game is, simply put, harmless. PokéPark 2: Wonder's Beyond is made for kids and has a lot of flaws, but it still has enough good sides. The cute design and great music makes up for the repetitive nature of the game.

Instead of making a real Pokémon game for Wii, Nintendo releases another mini game collection that really isn't that much fun in the end.

Pokepark is largely unchanged since the last time we visited. there are a few new attractions, but the same camera and control annoyances. That said, it's still a very hard game to hate. [Jan 2012, p.107]

Poképark 2 is too easy, repetitive, and with a low appeal. Only young pokémon lovers would appreciate it.

Pikachu is back in this sequel, which is clearly designed for kids. But some gameplay issues and a global lack of inspiration in the minigames make it less appealing than it could have been.
