    This isn't a bad game, but it just ends up as "yet another Guitar Hero" with the set list being the only important difference between Warriors of Rock and World Tour or GH5 or Band Hero.

    Warriors of Rock is pretty much the same as the previous Guitar Hero, with the exception of the new campaign. Curiously enough this only weakens the game. The tracklist is varied enough to warrant a purchase, but developer Neversoft will have to come up with something more original for the next game in the series.

    It's a title that packs a ton of content and gameplay onto a single disc, and its import options for songs from previous titles will pad your song selections nicely. But it's also an experience that feels remarkably similar to last year's offering, and that's unfortunate.

    Ultimately, Warriors of Rock isn't bad, it just doesn't live up to the legacy and quality set by previous titles.

    It could have been made somewhat better by more accessible, easily relatable songs, but with an otherwise lacking career mode, everything about Warriors of Rock reeks of regurgitated design decisions and a desire to simply make as much money as possible without really trying to add anything new.

    f you're a fan of music/rhythm games then you can't too much better than this. Small fixes to the game engine improve playability and additions such open bass note sustains and ghost notes on drums add to the experience. The setlist is top notch and just about every song deserves to be in the game unlike previous entries that had a lot of lackluster songs. The story may be cheesy but the whole thing is tongue-in-cheek and the overall atmosphere really harks back to the days of GH3. This game does what it sets out to do, please hardcore music game fans. While some will attack the lack of innovation, this game was meant to do one thing: please fans of past games. If you enjoyed GH3/GH2 you can't find another game (nor will you) that resembles them so well. RB3 is promising new features that may turn out great but WoR looks to have the best shredding available.… Full Review »

You play by strumming a guitar controller along to a variety of coloured frets that appear on the screen scrolling downwards. You can also plug in a drumset or microphone for an authentic band experience. While it is similar to Guitar Hero 5, it does have a lot of new features. In the main storymode, each playable character has their own bonus. These offer some clever strategies depending on the song and your playstyle. You can also do Quickplay which is when you choose exactly what songs you want to play. There’s also a custom rocker creation tool, online play and a variety of other features including Downloadable Content.

    While the Guitar Hero Franchise is over for the time being, this is still a fantastic game, and well worth picking up if you’re a fan of the previous games. They really put some effort into this one which is great.    … Full Review »

It adds a lot of difficult metal which targets the guitar player, which is good, other charts are not charted the best. Only for veteran GH players, due to the lack of low-tier songs.… Full Review »
