A rich, frantic, fascinating strategy game that makes Monopoly comparisons feel inadequate.

With the addition of both local and online multiplayer, Fortune Street is a much smarter, infinitely more playable title. If you're a fan of board games, it deserves your support.

Fortune Street excels as a social experience: The sort of things that fosters knock-down, drag-out competition over the course of long, grueling hours. Just the thing for the holidays, really.

Boom Street is an original game that deserves to do well in the West. It is well presented and provides a big challenge for single players and lots of game time for board game aficionados.

If your kids/wife/girlfriend/parents can grok a finicky numbers game, this will be right up their alley. But otherwise, this is a videoboardgame for hardcore strategy nerds. Who don't mind playing with Miis.

Offers some tremendous potential for fun. The experience is hampered somewhat by its complexity, but that's nothing that can't be overcome with a little bit of practice.

Fortune Street is a deep board game experience that is great if you have people to play with, but it can overstay its welcome in single-player. If you have friends that love Monopoly, or if you want a deep and lasting experience for the Wii, Fortune Street is one of the best of its genre on the system.

Boom Street is not a Mario Party rip-off. Instead of minigames you play a different version of Monopoly. With that surprise out of the way, this boardgame with Nintendo's mascots is a fun experience for the whole family.

If you're looking for a game for the whole family to play or you're a lover of well made board games, than you really should investigate Boom Street for the Nintendo Wii. Not only do the developers pay homage to the board games of yesteryear but it has this real 21st century feel to it, especially with the smooth animation and fun characters.

Though a handful of lacking options ding the game's value, Fortune Street is still a blast to play. It marries the classic sensibilities of a board game while embracing the complexity afforded by video games. If you have a stack of board games in the closet, this game is made for you.

For players looking for a serious board game, there's a lot to enjoy here. [Dec 2011, p.80]

Even fans of the genre will find the somewhat unfair single-player experience to be off-putting, despite the new boards and characters. For everyone else, it'll be a solid rental as long as you go through the options and tailor each game to last about an hour.

Be prepared for a good hour or so of your time, or continuing it for a few days even if you set the limits high enough! Fortune Street is a classic and it is best described as something like Monopoly but with stocks, and enough different boards and settings for some challenges, resulting in some great games.

Board games require a certain mood and you have to be in it to play this game. BIG tip is to go into the options at the start of a game (your 1st turn), and turn off the chatter and speed up the movements. It could go faster but that's ok.

The difficulty of the computer seems high at first but once you get the feel of the AI it's pretty easy. It gets really fun when all the boards and characters are unlocked, and you can set them up any computer character (I forgot to mention they are from Dragon Warrior and Mario franchises!) with the "S" difficulty, which is highest and Then they become fun to mix with if you don't have 4 people to join you.

Setting up a property on the game for 25,000 and watching an opponent land on it is pretty awesome. This game is not for the sore losers.

I'd rate it less if there was a better board game out there, or a better version of it. But there isn't!

Totally underrated, this game delivers the most fun you can find with 3 friends in a video boardgame and it still hasn't been topped. ItsTotally underrated, this game delivers the most fun you can find with 3 friends in a video boardgame and it still hasn't been topped. Its monopoly in Steroids with Stocks added. Me and my friends have been playing it for years . This game comes from a classic Square series but Nintendo's polish in this one puts it on top of the rest. Plus it's the only version in english. Don't forget to pump up the speed in the options and remove dialog. If you have friends and some time to spend GET IT NOW! If you don't.. bad for you Full Review »
