    All-in-all, rent it if cooking is a huge hobby. Everyone else can let this one cook.

    Although it seemed like there was some promise here, all the Food Network branding in the world can't hide the fact that Food Network: Cook or be Cooked just isn't worth your money.

    All of the game's step-by-step recipes are available in the game, but instead of buying it, I'd recommended taking your money and picking up the actual source, the aforementioned How to Boil Water. It'll has the game's 12 dishes, plus a couple hundred more. Not to mention that you'll be able to appreciate the smell of real bacon coming from your kitchen as opposed to seeing it sizzle on your TV and waiting two minutes to virtually flip it with a remote.

    Food Network: Cook or Be Cooked is a cooking mini-game compilation which seems to be an alternative to the Cooking Mama series. You prepareFood Network: Cook or Be Cooked is a cooking mini-game compilation which seems to be an alternative to the Cooking Mama series. You prepare and cook a number dishes and you must go through the recipes by completing numerous mini-games correctly. However, there is a twist to the game-play, you must complete a number of dishes at one time. The game features a single player mode, a "pass and play" mode allowing up to four players to prepare one meal, and a multiplayer cook-off mode between two people all of which are executed well. The game has been put together well, but you can't help but feel as if this game feels half-empty. Since there are only twelve different dishes to cook, there just aren't enough features to define this as a good game. If this game spent a little bit more time in development and if it was polished more, it could actually be a genuinely brilliant game. Try Cooking Mama: World Kitchen or Order Up! as an alternative.… Full Review »
