    It is a very good game, it has a variety of fairly large characters, very different scenarios, a unique game play does not feel repetitive, entertaining music, very entertaining game modes varied, great compatibility with amiibo and play with friends, the only bad thing is that the online have lag, but rarely.

    What can I say about his game? Smash Tour is pretty fun once you learn so I don't get why people hate it so much. The graphics are smooth. 8-player smash is so fun and 1v1's are as sharp as ever. Amiibo are used at their best using them almost like Pokemon. I don't know what to say about his game it is perfect. IF you haven't gotten it yet do it!

    A unique and different game from the previous entries of the series, a good game when playing online but a great time when playing with friends in the same room.
    It gives you a run for your money, with more than 15 different game modes, over 50 playable characters, more than 20 stages plus the Omega ones, a huge soundtrack and many mini-games.
    A must-have for every Wii U owner.

Smash Bros has been a huge part of my childhood but I don't think I've had as many hours on any other game in the series. They have a HUGE roster of characters from different games and even different companies.     When I First Played This Game, I Was Excited To See A Mass Number Of Starter Characters! It Returned The Stage Creator Where Everyone Can Create Their Own Stages! I Even Got All Of The DLC Fighters And The DLC Mii Custom Parts In This Game! And You Can Create A Mii Fighter Just Like The 3DS Version Of This Game. This Game Is Extremely Amazing, And It Has Amazing Graphics!

Between this and the 3DS game, this game holds the advantage of having better choices of stages, as well as having a more natural-feeling control scheme.     However, the Wii U version's Smash Tour mode is likely the worst mode in the series, as it is frustrating and overly complex compared to the rest of the game.

    Other than that, the 3DS and Wii U versions have very little difference from each other. Their choices for new characters was, in general, a bit questionable at times. The stages were sometimes poorly designed and they didn't seem to understand the desires of competitive or casual players, as almost every stage is extremely over-complicated, with gimmicks and movement directly affecting the gameplay, whereas the "Omega" version that is offered overly simplifies the stages into generic, flat planes. This problem is especially true of the Wii U version, where they seemed determined to utilize the full capacity of the system's engine and instead ended up making every default stage unnecessarily chaotic.
    The Fire Emblem and especially Kid Icarus franchises are over-represented to the arguable detriment of other franchises. This is especially true of the Wii U version, where the developers seemed to default to using Kid Icarus for everything.

    Overall, an alright installment, but doesn't exactly live up to the series before it.    … Expand

    I have had an amazing time with this game! I normally play Smash Brothers on a more professional style but the casual game modes are not as good as they could be. I'm not saying that Nintendo should add a story mode because that would be reviewing this game unfairly. This game is well built and extremally fun to play professionally.

    This game is very enjoyable. The online is better then brawl. And lots of characters to choose from. The 3ds prevented more characters and the ice climbers though (RIP ice climbers). But a few things annoyed me about this game. No adventure mode. I LOVED the adventure mode in brawl. Sadly they removed it in Wii u. The online can also be annoying and pretty bad. Better then brawl tho. ButThis game is very enjoyable. The online is better then brawl. And lots of characters to choose from.     This is the reason to get the Wii U. The cast of characters is amazing and DLC and the modded community makes the game have hundreds of unique characters. The gameplay is flawless and beautiful with amazing remixes. The local multiplayer is some of the best in gaming history, which makes Smash Bros. very well-known. The singleplayer also has many different modes to test your skills. ThisThis is the reason to get the Wii U.     This game is incredible. I've only played the original(which is one of my favorite games to this day), and this one, but I can guarantee that the series is one to beat. Just go play it already

    8.5 - A very good Smash game, although the game play was not arcade-like as Brawl and Melee were. Dodging was very annoying, as well having various characters with strong counter moves, but the stages and characters overall were well done.

Not only does this one split the difference between the frenetic pace of Melee with the huge roster and medium-paced/floatiness of Brawl, but Nintendo actually got DLC right for once by including awesome characters.     El juego de peleas definitivo de nintendo, es todo lo que esperaba, un juego divertido, con una cantidad muy buena de personajes y con un montón de modos de juego. es uno de esos juegos para jugar con amigos, sea de forma casual o competitiva, es diversión asegurada. a lo único que le doy en falta es a un modo historia y a un mejor online.

    The graphics are incredible. it makes the game really stand out. most of the stages are really cool and are amazing choices for stages. the characters are really cool as well.

    The only reason why I say this isn't a 10 is because we did get quite a bit of clones and some stages are pretty bad like 75m. also i'm pretty bad at playing smash bros as a whole but, they are minor nit picks so    The graphics are incredible. it makes the game really stand out. most of the stages are really cool and are amazing choices for stages. the characters are really cool as well.

There is so much amazing content in this game, it ain't even funny... well, actually, it kind of is, because this is the best multiplayer game of this generation. The roster is pretty well balanced considering there are almost 60 characters to choose from, plus some newcomers like Shulk and Bayonetta have interesting,Weak singleplayer, amazing everything else (except for Smash Tour). There is so much amazing content in this game, it ain't even funny... well, actually, it kind of is, because this is the best multiplayer game of this generation. The roster is pretty well balanced considering there are almost 60 characters to choose from, plus some newcomers like Shulk and Bayonetta have interesting, unique playstyles. Plus, the ginormous soundtrack and colorful graphics give the game even more character. The online could be better, but when you play this in local multiplayer, it is certainly a blast. The battle pace feels very neat, and the music selection is great. The game modes are very fun and collecting trophies never gets old. However, I find the DLC to be unnecessry, and characters like Cloud and Bayonetta feel tooAs a fightning game, Smash 4 does a great job.     This game is a great game for competitive players. I'm really happy to have it and it looks, and plays smoothly. I always have a lot of fun while playing this with my friends. And for me, this game has to be the best entry in the franchise. 10/10, Great game, Nintendo!!

    Un Super Smash Bros en HD, con hasta ocho luchadores en un mismo escenario, aún así el juego va muy fluido, es una gran obra aunque no deja de recordar mucho a los anteriores Super Smah Bros el detalle de decenas de escenarios y luchadores es un plus añadido, espero que mejoren algún dia la obra maestra Melee de GC, bajo mi punto de vista, el mejor.

No longer do you have to suffer terrible physicals and clunky controls with Melee, or floating heavy characters and slipping up in Brawl, or the heavily simplistic gameplay of Smash Bros on the N64.

    The character selection here is pretty good with the exception of maybe the exception of Lucina who has no difference from Marth. You can also expand the character roster with the seven DLC characters. You can play as some of the all time Nintendo classics like Mario, Donkey Kong, Link and Yoshi. You can play as some familiar faces that have been long gone like Little Mac or the Duck Hunt Dog. You can even play as Characters outside of Nintendo like Sonic, Mega Man, Pac Man, Cloud, Ryu and Bayonetta. Without a doubt, there will be a character on this roster who you will recognize and love playing as.

    The stages in Smash Bros on Wii U is a pretty good line up for both fun and competitive play. Also returning are N64 stages, which have seen a return since Melee. Whilst a couple of these stages may be taken right out of previous entries, there are also a good number of new stages. Some of them though I do feel are a little too big. The reason for this is the 8 player mode, where you can have up to 8 controllers connected for absolute mayhem. Speaking of controllers, this game has so many controller options. This includes, Gamepad, Wiimote, Wiimote with numchuck, Wii U Pro Controller, Wii Classic Controller, GameCube controller and even the 3DS. No matter what play style you use, you won't feel left out here. The online here is also far improved, meaning the only time you will play with someone and have bad connection is when either you or your opponent has bad connection, rather than with Wii's online where 2 minute matches could take 10 minutes.

    One thing I will complain about it some of the extra modes. Smash Tour is the most unwanted mode in this game. The only reason why someone would play this mode is to complete some of the challenges on the challenge sheet. Smash Tour is not very fun, and I would not recommend playing. Just stick to regular Smash for multiplayer. Smash Bros on Wii U also lacks a sub space emissary. This was all because Sakurai worried about people uploading cutscenes online. Whilst I understand it was probably for the best of developing the main part of the game being the fighting, it is sort of a let down from Brawl.

    Otherwise, this game is great! I would probably hold off buying a Wii U in case they announce a port for the Switch with new content, or a brand new Smash Bros entirely. If for some reason you manage to obtain a Wii U, Super Smash Bros is the game to have.    … Expand

    Lacks a story mode but apart from that this is a great party game to play with friends. If you're into nintendo characters you will have a great time. The combat system is identical to the earlier titles, which is not a downside whatsoever, since you don't see it in any other game.

    Many of the single player modes are great. Classic Mode got a fun makeover, and All-Star Mode is always a blast. But modes such as Target Blast and the Event Matches haven't recovered from the horrible unmemorable mangling Brawl gave them. In fact, Target Smash here is even worse. Now in Brawl, sure it was lacking the unique stage for each fighter, but in Smash for Wii U, it's lacking stages at all. The once fun time trial mini-game has now been reduced to nothing more than a cheap angry birds knockoff. With a Story Mode also being left out for completely stupid reasons along with all of these other flaws, the single player mode feels very lackluster and lazy.

    The customization modes are fine for what they are. The moveset and property editing options are fun and easy to use as you can change the abilities of a fighter or even their stats with special gear. The painting mode is also fun for Miiverse posts, but the Stage Builder is still severely lacking. While have the power to draw your map any way you like it instead of being restricted to a grid, there's so little in terms of variety. There's lava, rocket barrels, springs, and moving platforms. But that's about it. There's no Ferris Wheel, falling platforms, ice blocks, or any stage decorations like the one found in Brawl's editor. It also feels lazy.

    Now when it comes to the content, this game really shines. The largest roster in Smash Bros. history with tons of overpriced DLC, the massive amount of stages, and all the different items to collect and unlock. The starting roster is great enough as it is, and DLC is optional so there's no REAL reason I should complain about it. But if you want all of the characters and stages, you'll have to scrape over an extra $43 just for 7 characters and 5 stages. That's not even including other DLC items like the Mii costumes. You need to repay almost the entire price of a brand new copy just to add an extra bundle of content smaller than the Nintendo 64's entry in the series. While the DLC characters and stages are fun to use, this is still an example of how DLC can be done poorly.

    As for the gameplay, it's definitely fun. You won't get bored at all in multi-player mode. But there's no balance, the hit boxes are quite sloppy for a fighting game, and despite being a very well-produced product, it's not safe from plenty of bugs and glitches. It doesn't have that much value in terms of competitive fighting games, but as a party game in general, Super Smash Bros. is the best you can get. The items are all fun, the final smashes are creative. The assist trophies keep you on your toes, and there's never a dull moment.

    Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is a fantastic game by itself, but when stacked up against the rest of the entries in the series, it fails to stand out. It's just another title. It may have more content, but the lackluster single player, absence of story mode, average customization especially with the Stage Builder which is arguably worse than Brawl's, some parts of this game feel soulless and lazy. It's definitely a must buy if you own a Wii U, but it's no ground-breaking masterpiece either.    … Expand

    Best Game Ever! Join the battle in SUPAH SMASH BROTHAS!!! As you fight with Ryu, and Bayonetta (or 54 other fighters) So many 3rd party characters, plus you can make your own fighters, or modify old ones! If you do the math right, there are 4,138 PLAYABLE CHARACTERS!!! (With customs) Best game for the Wii U

    The graphics are striking first of all. Yes, it may be a bit flashier than brawl but that is just one of the many reasons I adore this game very much. The moment I purchased this    2014's Smash 4 is one of the best games i've ever played, and just like user (yaloolenoogoo) said in one of their earlier reviews, "Gaming is about having fun. That is what Super Smash Bros. for WiiU delivers."
    The graphics are striking first of all. Yes, it may be a bit flashier than brawl but that is just one of the many reasons I adore this game very much. The moment I purchased this game at my local store and took it back home for me to play, I nearly sobbed once I found that there was no subspace emissary 2. They also removed one of the fan favorites: Snake from metal gear solid, which was kind of a bummer. But I guess they're just doing what they think is right.

    Nintendo included tons more modes, including some of the originals from classic smash installments. SSB4 is also compatible with your amiibo so if you have a collection at home, go give it a try! They also introduced a whole new set of OC's to the roster so if you're looking for the perfect game, smash 4 is no exception.    … Expand

Each character varies greatly, so greatly it's amazing Nintendo was able to optimize them all! It's definitely a game to whip out and play with your friends. The game looks beautiful, especially for the limitations of theSmash Bros. for the Wii U is one of the greatest reasons why to buy a Wii U. Nintendo created a wonderful fighting game with some of their best and beloved characters. Each character varies greatly, so greatly it's amazing Nintendo was able to optimize them all! It's definitely a game to whip out and play with your friends.     This is the best game in the series. Mostly everything is there, the roster is huge, and the only things I can think of that are bad are smash tour, and the customs feel too much like the originals in some cases. Other than that, there is a lot of content in this game and I hope this gets ported to switch, it would be awesome.

    There’s a lot to love about this game, but at the end of the day it gets demoted a lot in my ranking simply because it’s not melee. It’s a lot of fun to play, but it fails to reach the same heights as melee did.

    Easily the best smash game game play wise with it hitting a perfect middle ground with its speed as the speed is right in between brawls slower game play and melee very frantic fast paced game play.Other than speed its mostly the same fun fighting action but with more Items,characters,and stages than ever before.If i were to say one flaw it would be that i find it to easy to recover from being hit of the edge than previous installments meaning that the intense suspense of seeing if your opponent will make it back is mostly gone.

    Controls 9/10
    The controls are most of the time perfect smooth and satiating especially wen you deliver a smash attack to your foe. I am docking a point because of the abundance of online lag with the controls so its not necessarily the controls themselves.

    Music 8/10
    A solid soundtrack but it mostly is songs from other games.I understand its a crossover but i wish that they would still have more original pieces because the ones they do have is some of the best music in the game.I really hope there is more original tunes for smash 5

    This game is defiantly worth the 60 dollar price tog with its tons of side not main battle content like events,classic mode,all star mode,smash tour,Master and crazy orders,and tons of other modes to keep you satisfied for a long time along with the always active online community.

    Amazing Smash game, a lot of everything to do, but when i look at smash tour and broken classic mode i really can't give it a 10. Very fun, will keep you busy very long, and have great community around it.

    It's a TOTALLY AWESOME 2D Fighting game. It's worth an 11, not a 10. The gameplay is SO sweet, functional and has mounts of COMBOS. More than 40 classic characters are like a gift for any gamer. Now i can invite Sonic, Mario, DK, Pac-Man Or Mega-Man in an authentic Deathmatch. The graphics are incredibly detailed and the animations are literally SUPER-FLUID.     Overall the best smash game, and the only game where you can pit Mario, Sonic, Pikachu, Link, Ryu, Pacman and even Cloud against each other. While the 3ds version has arguably best stages, this one makes up for it by having the objectively superior multiplayer experience.

    Super Smash Brothers for Wii U is the best smash brothers game. Offering a bigger variety of characters and modes than ever before. Another game you should probably play with friend on, although you may find yourself getting frustrated at them. The only real issue I have is the lack of story mode. This was an ingenious addition to Super Smash Bros Brawl, and I can only imagine the fun thatSuper Smash Brothers for Wii U is the best smash brothers game.     the game is one of the best for the wii u and although the game shows great graphics missing some new characters such as rosalina and luma are characters that should have been from super smash bros of the wii but it is appreciated that they found more esenarios very good game

    This is just simply one of the best fighting games in this universe. It's always fun to play, no matter what. I mean, the replay value is SO high. Every time you pop the disc in your Wii U, you'll always wanna try something new. It's even better with friends, too. This game is just a pure joy to play, and it is the main reason to have a Wii U.

    Incredible roster compared to other smash games and to any fighting game really. Good stages, 8-players matches, as a Smash Bros series fan I give this game a 10/10 and fully recomend it to Smash fans, people interested in the series and nintendo fans of any of the many many series represented in it.

    This is the only Smash Bros I've really played, and bought it because a friend had shown me Brawl. (I didn't play Brawl after that though, and it wasn't very long). A story mode would've been great, although I don't believe it necessary. I love the ability to customize your character is great! AND banned online (to those who believe it unfair).     If you want a fighting game for your Wii U, definitely pick this one because it has the biggest selection of fighters, the game is the most balanced Smash game, the visuals are crisp, and the fighting mechanics are the best. It also has a buttload of content to keep you coming back.

Before, everything felt very detailed and had a lot of love put into it, but now everything feels like padding. Plus, the gameplay(for me) feels way too floaty and slow and kills are unsatisfying(why do they fly in the air for 10 minutes before hitting the blast zone?!).     how ssb was meant to be. at this rate get ssb 5, but this is great. this, ssb 5 and melee will be the kings of the series. melee for fiercely competitive, ssb u for mostly competitive and smash 5 because it is going to be epic. while no story mode is disappointing, everything else is a step up from brawl. only complaint- Saukrai seems to forget real players hate items (*cough* Smash Tour *cough*)

    This game is good. One of the only things that bothers me is that there is no unique title for it. Wii U? 3DS? This seems lazy. We had Melee, Brawl, Ultimate, now Wii U? This makes the game feel weird and not like a Smash Bros game.

    La cantidad de personajes es muy decente, así que uno puede jugar largo tiempo sin miedo a repetir.

    GRÁFICOS:
    Visualmente es muy bueno. Algunos de los escenarios son más atractivos que otros (sobre todo aquellos con mucho colorido), pero en general se disfruta mucho.

    SONIDO:
    El apartado más destacable del juego ya que cada pieza brilla por sí misma. El soundtrack completo es excelente y es lo que logra que nos emocionemos con las batallas y las disfrutemos aún más.

    Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is the true casual Smash Bros. experience, taking aspects from Brawl that were already casual and taking them to the max. However, competitive and hardcore players may want to skip this one. No single-player campaign and slow gameplay make Smash for Wii U a nightmare fo non-casual players.

There are several characters with their own moves, skills, a lot of game modes and a great online multiplayer. It's surely a "must-have" for the Wii U. The only complaint is that I've missed some kind ofAs I didn't played any other Smash Bros beyond this one, there's no way I can make deep short comments.     This game is amazing, and the third party round up is great, and the DLC was really exciting when they started revealing them, however, Bayonetta is way too OP, and there isn't much to do aside from playing smash mode. It really could've done with a story mode.

    This game is great at pretty much everything except the core gameplay which is overly floaty, unbalanced, and uninteresting. Although it wasn't even able to provide an interesting story mode akin to Subspace Emissary. Having marginally better combat than Brawl doesn't matter if you're single player content is worse.

    Gaming is about having fun. That is what Super Smash Bros. for Wii U delivers, unlike a lot of other major game releases this year, which have been major disappointments this year. Smash Wii U is a breath of fresh air, and there is so much to do

    The worst best Smash on the Wii U. It is a truly epic game with more content than ever. It's very similar to ultimate, but obviously has trophies instead of spirits and some fighters missing, but it is still a great game regardless of if you've played ultimate or not

    Incredibly fun, and super nostalgic for me! This game introduced many staples of the Smash series, such as character CGI trailers, DLC, and, of course, so many third-party reps! Its a shame this game's currently dead.

    This was my most played smash game and it took my friend and I super long to discover all the different powers for all the fighters, 8 player smash was monumental and we were able to make our own battles come alive within it. Truly an awesome addition.

    It has notable flaws in the single player game modes, and the menu is the most disorganized. Even so, I improve its Gameplay, although due to the questionable decision of the new characters they make it somewhat weak compared to the others. Even with its flaws, it is a highly recommended game for new players, and it is one that is at least worth the opportunity.
