You almost ruined my kids belief in Santa. The figures for he 1.0 were just released in late 2013 and now you make 2.0 which is not backwards compatible with 1.0 in anyway. Do you expect parents to purchase an entire game console, new starter pack and figurines every year? I purchased the new 2.0 starter pack and of course it does not work at all. Playing this game is best described as cutting steak with a spoon. It looks so promising, but so much of your time is spent fighting the controls. Turning the camera is almost as slow as the original Mario bros (it didn't turn). If that's not bad enough, the camera will also frequently attempt to turn your moving character away from the action.

The load times are also the longest of any game I've ever seen.

Assuming that they don't plan to release a 20.00 DLC package to improve your ability to turn around and speed up the load time, I suspect the problem is probably tied to the under-performing Wii-U console. I'm looking forward to seeing if another console provides a better experience.

Graphics are lacking, the camera is terrible and the character controls are off. My son got this and Skylanders for Christmas. He only wants to play Skylanders. At $35 for a toy box set I could just buy a new game. Disney missed the mark.

I really wanted to love this game, in fact I went all out and got ALL 2.0 expansion sets plus a total of about 40 1.0 and 2.0 figurines on the promise of the title, but unfortunately it failed to deliver. The quests were not exciting to keep me going, game mechanics wasn't fun, the controls were rather awkward (the driving is WORSE than that of Watch Dogs!), the Toy Box is far too difficult to play with (for a good example of a well implemented make-your-own game, see Super Mario Maker), poor compatibility of characters between 1.0 and 2.0. The WORST thing I hated about this is when the character dies, you have to wait a few minutes to respawn or replace with a new character. My kids didn't enjoy it, in fact they went back to Skylanders Swap Force which was much more fun. Alas in the end, with a heavy heart, I sold everything from my 1.0 and 2.0 collection and am now picking up on Skylanders Superchargers, and will go on from there. Expand

Disney, as with Activision, is going to face stiff competition from Nintendo with its Amiibo line (which taps into the same sense of nostalgic loyalty as Disney Infinity, in fact, and is a bigger threat to it than Skylanders). But Infinity 2.0 shows that the franchise is on the right track, and it might just wind up on top.

The upgrades to the Toy Box Disney stop Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition from being a completely mediocre game. However, the campaign and overall presentation leave a lot to be desired.

The improved upgrades, enhanced Toy Box experience and Marvel franchise make this year’s game an enticing proposition. Provided parents are willing to say “no” now and again to children’s pestering for more figures, it also offers good value on the Wii U.
