    Bayonetta is basically the female version of Devil May Cry, I love every single minute of it.

    Bayonetta understands it is silly and out there. That is part of its' unique charm. On top of that, it has one of the best game OSTs; easily top ten game OSTs within a decade. The OST has everything from old classics (like fly me to the moon), remixes, and retro game music. Overall, the OST is    Bayonetta is basically the female version of Devil May Cry, I love every single minute of it.

    Bayonetta understands it is silly and out there. That is part of its' unique charm. On top of that, it has one of the best game OSTs; easily top ten game OSTs within a decade. The OST has everything from old classics (like fly me to the moon), remixes, and retro game music. Overall, the OST is very pop, r&b, and jazzy.

    The Wii U, Switch, and PC version of this game is the best version. If you somehow to have other version, get rid of it and buy these. Unless you are 10 years into the future, with some better console (Xbox X Series & PS5 isn't one of them).

    The only thing I could complain about, is if you take a break from the game. Don't expect to jump right in again. It can be a difficult game, because countering is extremely important. You can't just button smash away to victory.

    Another thing to add - it takes a while to get good right away, it be nice to have a mod to fix this.    … Expand

    It runs perfectly on the Platform. It was de revolution of a genre and there are not a lot of things to say. A beautiful game full of action with a perfect control and charismatic characters.

    La historia no tiene ni pies ni cabeza y el personaje de Bayonetta es bastante insoportable. La dificultad toca picos sinsentido, provocando que tengas que jugar al milímetro cada movimiento. No es todo lo preciso que debería ser.

    Ottimi ritmi, combattimenti frenetici e design davvero ben fatto.
    Come intrinseco del genere, un po' di ripetitività di fondo.
    Resta uno dei migliori esponenti del genere.

    Awesome, one of my favorite hack slash. The control is excellent and visually it is incredible. To put a snag, this version of Wii U suffered a bit in terms of performance and for these types of games it is sometimes a bit annoying. Still, very good game.

    Amazing fast-paced hack & slash game. Almost every scene is over the top, characters are expressive and fun, and the design of environments, enemies and bosses is outstanding. In the Wii U it runs specially smoothly, specially if you use the Pro Controller. If you're a fan of Devil May Cry, definitely check this out!

    This hack and slash games brought so much joy for me with its random and ridiculous humor and story telling..
    I ended up loving every character I came across in this game..
    The playfulness here is what makes this otherwise just okay game so great…
    The gameplay isn’t anything special and level design isn’t anything special either…
    The game is pretty linear with the ocassional forcing you to dodge a light to freeze time so you can walk on water or break a wall..
    but for the most part this is very much a barebones version of God of War…
    there will be walls that go up that wont come down until you hack and slash your way through all of the enemies…
    the combat is swift and fun, though not too satisfying, but youre able to fill up a meter to torture your enemies for an instakill as well as pick up their weapons which do a great deal of damage but break fairly quickly.. and the enemies drop these haloes that you can trade for new moves, items, and weapons…
    And finishing an area will cause the game to take a snapshot of usually your vag, cause japan….
    And randomly on your journey youll run into crazy huge bosses that you take down with your hair…
    because of course you do…
    your hair covers your body so while using it.. it isn’t quite covering your body as much anymore..
    I found each boss battle to be fun and engaging, and I found all 9 hours of this game to be perfectly paced for the most part…
    The progression is very linear here, and there are a few really cool cinematic moment to keep the game feeling fresh throughout..
    it never becomes predictable, it will introduce and drop mechanics all the time
    it keeps the game fun and stops it from ever feeling like a chore…
    Where pacing did become a problem for me though is with the vehicle based missions… there are few sprinkled in here.. and theyre fun at the start.. but they drag on for what feels like forever..
    less is more and that definitely should’ve been the case here.. these levels get uninteresting quickly and bring the rest of the perfectly paced game down…
    aside for the poorly paced vehicle missions, my biggest issue with this game is its collectibles..
    Theyre all over the place but they pause the game every single time you pick one up..
    I understand this game is from 2009.. but still.. its annoying and frequent…
    it almost discouraged me from picking them up completely..
    Bayonetta Is one of the few games that gets praise today that actually deserves it…
    Despite the annoying collectibles that break the flow of the game.. Bayonetta is a sexually charged game of joy and heart,
    youre guaranteed to smile at least 42 times while playing..
    I give Bayonetta

    Great spiritual successor to DMC. Some minor flaws like insta-death QTEs but overall fantastic. Just a fun cheesy game with collectibles, costumes and weapons.

    This is not my type of game, even so this game has brilliant moments, nice plot tracing, good graphics (colorful, 60 fps and absolutely great level design) and gameplay.

    Muy buen puerto, muy parecido a su versión de Xbox 360. Si tomamos en cuenta que viene como disco de bonus en la versión Retail de Bayonetta 2 los convierte en uno de las mejores inversiones para tu wiiU.

    because once a gamer succeeded to see past through those stuff, they will be rewarded with a truly great action-adventure / hack n slash game that they will enjoy for the rest of their life. this is a    it makes me sad that too many gamers has failed to see past the awful characters, badly written story, or bad jokes that one too many times turns into obnoxious "fanservice" instead.

    because once a gamer succeeded to see past through those stuff, they will be rewarded with a truly great action-adventure / hack n slash game that they will enjoy for the rest of their life. this is a masterpiece that u could get back to anytime.

    since they changed the name to hack n slash / stylized action / whatever, action-adventure has become a dying genre. back then, we had onimusha, devil may cry, then we have god of war, heavenly sword, now we only have bayonetta. and i dare to say, this one might have the best battle mechanics in the genre so far.

    also, from the amount of crazy easter eggs they put in this game, u could easily tell that this is a game that was made by gamers. by people who love videogames. by people who actually play videogames. people like you and me :) people who watched star wars and 90s anime. they even have the guts to put some of capcom's properties inside this game! that's developing games with balls.
    seriously, with every bad jokes in this game, i could imagine some platinum games staff jokingly asked hideki kamiya "hey boss, should we put this in the game?", then he laughed and answered "hey, why not. that **** is **** hilarious".
    if u a just try a little bit harder, u could feel the heart and soul they poured into this game :) this game was made with love, and it's almost a rarity these days...

    CONCLUSION: i have to admit that bayonetta do have some issues with its bad story, bad characters, and bad jokes. but seriously, since when a hack n slash game is about those stuff?? it's always about the battle mechanics, it's about "punching the bad guys" instead of questioning "why are we punching the bad guys". and as much as i wanted to give this game an 8 or 9 for its flaws, the awesome battle mechanics just more than made it up for the flaws. best in the genre so far.
    (i included the awful QTEs as bad jokes. most of them was obviously designed to troll u on ur first encounter, but u're an idiot if u still failing them on ur 3rd playthrough. sorry, probably u just wasn't cut for this genre)

    FINAL VERDICT: if u like hack and slash with deep battle mechanics, if u're willing to look past all the craziness surrounding it, buy this game.
    support platinum games. they're "one of the good guys" left in this crazy videogame business ;)    … Expand

    Solo voy a centrarme en la jugabilidad. INCREIBLE. Es un juego que invita a pasartelo en TODOS los modos de dificultad. Su escala de dificultad es progresiva. Si no estas acostjmbrado al control puedes pasartelo en facil o muy facil (tienes "asistencias" para ciertos golpes, etc) , perfecto para conocer la historia.

    No es una dificultad frustrante, es desafiante. Un referente.

    Por último, la versión de WiiU está repleta de cameos ya no solo a SEGA, sino esta vez a Nkntendo. Las princesas de Mario, ¡hasta Bowser!, Samus Aran de Metroid, o el universo de Zelda aumentan el surtido ya grande de indumentarias (y ataques)    … Expand

    Esteticamente mejoro el juego, no se ve igual de bien que bayonetta 2, pero si es notorio su cambio.Sin embargo, me parece que lo importante, de esta adaptacion, es la manera en que se juega a ella en la wii u; y esta es fantastica, es agradable, facil de adaptarse y te hace meterte totalmente en el videojuego y apreciar lo excelente que es

    STORY: First of all let me say that the story is not nearly as bad as many people think, at least for me is at worst a good story, bayonetta is a great character, the game has a    Bayonetta in general is a great game and the port to the wii u is in my mind the definitive version, but let's discuss the game itself first. Bayonetta is a hack and slash, and a great one at it's very worst.

    STORY: First of all let me say that the story is not nearly as bad as many people think, at least for me is at worst a good story, bayonetta is a great character, the game has a lot of humor, the world is interesting and overall at least i can enjoy the story, i'm not saying is a great story, but it's an enjoyable one at worst.

    PRESENTATION: In terms of presentation, bayonetta does a pretty good job, the graphics and music are great, the frame rate is consistent and it actually runs a tiny bit more smoother on the wii u than in the xbox 360 and specially the ps3.

    GAMEPLAY: In terms of gameplay bayonetta is superb, you have a lot of tools at your disposal and there are a LOT of combos to do, you can unlock weapons and techniques by buying them on rodin's shop with halo's which are basically the money that you use on hell and there are many upgrades to get, there are collectables to get and you get ranked at the end of every chapter. The boss battles are incredible and fun. The main thing that sets apart bayonetta from other games is witch time, by dodging an enemy attack at the last moment, the time will slow down and you will have time the beat the f**k out of your opponent, every time you do this you fill up a magic count, fill it up to the ma and you can do a torture attack, where you can do massive damage to your opponent.

    Overall bayonetta at least for me is the best action hack and slash there has ever been, perhaps only beating by bayonetta 2, the gameplay, the music, the graphics, the combos, the bosses, the story, everything about this game is amazing and i feel like the wii u version is the best of the 3, since it has great graphics, slightly better performance that the xbox 360 version and you also get some extra content with the nintendo customs, that DON'T require amiibo, but really it doesn't matter anyway, bayonetta overall is a great game and the best in it's genre in my opinion, along side with bayonetta 2.

    Fantastic game. Works extremely well on the Wii U. In terms of gameplay, so, sooooo good. In terms of story, still really good if a bit confusing. Bayonetta is a great character because she basically flaunts her sexuality to the point where you just look past her attractiveness and see her as an actual badass role model. Killing angels has never been so fun.

    This game is really, really fun but has a few hiccups. The first is the frame rate, its not bad but your gonna have some dips here and there. The weapon selection is okay, could be better. And the one thing that annoys me the most is when an enemy gets u in a combo u cant break out, its really annoying.     After God of War games, bayonetta is just mediocre. Combat is ok, just gets bit obscured with all the shiny things on screen. But it works well enough. Game doesn't seem to notice the y-axis properly tho. Someone swinging their weapon sideways underneath your character still scores a hit. Also there's few random quick time events that are unexpected and pointless. They happen in fewAfter God of War games, bayonetta is just mediocre. Combat is ok, just gets bit obscured with all the shiny things on screen. But it works well enough. Game doesn't seem to notice the y-axis properly tho. Not sure if I encountered a bug or was it on purpose, but one QTE just showed a blank button prompt (which I mistook as stick) until couple deaths it showed as Y-button.
    Overall, it's an ok game. Worth of your time if you like hack/slash games with pointless QTE and timed puzzles.

    - Weak story

    The fast action pace, the big battles, and the entertaining story is what this game is about. This game has a place in my heart. Such a wonderful game.

The screen tearing and frame rate issues from the PS3 version have been fixed in this version, and it plays smoother than Xbox360 version as well, while also improving the graphics. It's a fairly challenging game and theWhile not at all better than Bayonetta 2, many Wii U owners should definitely try this one out. Not only does it come free with Bayonetta 2, but it's also a solid game.     Un juego inolvidable y muy original, los controles y combos son muy buenos, la música acompaña bien y la historia esta correcta. Por momentos el juego se torna un poco repetitivo con reciclaje de enemigos, ademas el cambio de dificultad esta muy desbalanceado. No llega a ser un metal gear pero lo recomiendo bastante . 8.5 , redondeando a 9.

    Un gran juego, me parecio algo dificil, es muy rapido, una gran historia, con violencia, sensualidad y ternura (cereza) :) lo mejor del juego sin lugar a dudas es que es gratis :D pues viene de regalo con el bayonetta 2 :D

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Este juego es uno de los grandes para Wii U recomendable al 100%, si es que no tienes ni Xbox 360 o Playstation 3.

    Pros:
    -muy buenas mecánicas jugables con una cantidad de combos que superan los 30.
    -grandes efectos de sonido.
    -banda sonora excelsa.
    -se ve bien gráficamente.
    -las batallas mas épicas que he visto.
    -ser re-jugable a pesar de su corto modo historia.

    Contras:
    -una historia que esta bien, sin embargo le dio mucha desventaja que tuviera bastantes huecos argumentales.
    -la nueva función del combate con la pantalla táctil pasa desapercibido.
    -diseño de nivel molesto, ya que muchas veces te enfrentas una y otra vez a los mismos enemigos e incluso jefes.

    Gran juego con una gran experiencia inolvidable y a pesar de sus errores es uno de los grandes títulos para Wii U.    … Expand

    It still is one of the best hack & slash we've seen, even though there are few additions to play it again if you've already beaten it. One way or another, this is the best version of the original Bayonetta.
