    Highly Recommended. Best Entry in the series. Everything are improved from past entry such as combat, exploration, and sidequest. Looking forward to next Xenoblade game.

    I would rate it a 9 but I have to off-set the reviewbombers in some way. Yes the graphical fidelity is not on par with a game on the PS5 but then again the graphics of a PS5 game are not on par with a PC game (rtx3080ti ftw). And yet it looks and sounds amazing. Very nice style and I just love the music. The story is very gripping so far and the game is actually quite challenging. Game ofI would rate it a 9 but I have to off-set the reviewbombers in some way.     This game is a masterpiece experience. The background story, plot, characters and combat gameplay are all excellent. Combining this with a complex skills mechanic and emotional development, make this one of the best switch games so far.

The sound track and music, the world building. It’s some of the best in the industry. The way the open world and combat and multiple classes and cooking and party mechanics and exploration and story all come together, in this 150 hour epic. It has so much DEPTH.     I can’t even begin to describe how much I’m enjoying this game. I’m 20 hours in and it’s still introducing new and fun mechanics. The story is top tier and the characters are personal. Each character is so different and the classes and ranks are something very cool to work towards. The world is stunning and is one of the best looking open world games on the Switch since Breath of the Wild.I can’t even begin to describe how much I’m enjoying this game.     By far one of the best jrpgs on the switch. Monolith is continuing to build upon their initial installments of Xenoblade and only getting better in every way. From gameplay, to story, to just even the finest of details with the UI. Xenoblade 3 is a masterpiece.

Noah and Mio kissing only to be split apart was definitely why i cried the most, i love these characters and only wish for the best for them.     Easily one of my favourite game experiences since BOTW. This game is gorgeous, music is phenomenal and the gameplay a mix of addicting adventure and constant wonder. You need to experience this game to understand a journey as top tier as this doesn’t come along very often. Masterpiece.

    Great world, characters, story, and music. It takes the Xenoblade series up a notch. The combat is quite more complicated than previous Xenoblade games, but the tutorial is right there at the start to help the player understand new mechanics quite easily. My only complain would be the UI being less user-friendly compared to Xenoblade 2. I can't wait to see the next iteration :)

    1. Although the screen has improved compared to the second generation, the handheld mode is still blurry.
    2. The materials of some side quests do not have navigation like the first generation, but there will be quest signs when they are close.
    3. Simplified translation is slightly problematic (traditional Chinese can be used).
    Let's talk about some series features:
    1. The combat system is an automatic attack and cannot be manually attacked.
    2. The blow may not be that great (it's a jrpg after all).
    3. The proportion of the plot and the battle is the same, and the CG of the plot is relatively long (the series traditionally can be watched as a fan drama), which may not be very friendly to those who do not like to watch the plot.
    Let's talk about the good changes compared to the previous two generations:
    1. Teaching system: The teaching system this time is very detailed, with small knowledge and training mode, which is very friendly to novices.
    2. The navigation and guidance function is perfect, and you can choose to open it, which is very friendly to those who are easy to get lost.
    Let me talk about some of my own opinions (this is all subjective, everyone's feelings are different):
    1. The theme of this work is obviously heavier than the previous two works. I think the plot is pretty good (you should cry or you have to cry) There are also some new plots in the second week.     Monolith Soft really listens to user opinions. There are a lot of improvements compared to Xenoblade 2 and 1DE. JRPGs are dying these days and Xenoblade is one of the game I enjoyed the most. Glad to see Nintendo values this series.

    Just **** LOL at the amount of pathetic haters and trolls who rate this a 0. Go play CS Go if you hate JRPGs so much or maybe get a life. This game is a gem with charming characters, a beautiful environment and addictive gameplay. Overall my favourite out of the mainline games so far.

    Easily my favorite game so far. Relatable, good characters. Very nice battle system. Easy to understand game mechanics with the option of a) re-viewing tutorial or b) using the "training" option. The story is awesome. I'm absolutely invested. It made me cry a couple of times already..

The graphics seem fine too me and are not as bad as negative reviews portray in my opinion.     Me personally never could get into JRGS I am a typical RPG fan played all the classics was looking for something to play on my Switch and came across this. I have never played the previous entires in the series so can't make any comparisons.

    The story is amazing, I easily connect with all the characters and what they are fighting for.     The open world there are many things to explore, fighting boss enemies, collecting recourses etc. For me my play through is still in progress and this has already convinced me to go pick up the earlier games in the series.

    Can't believe this is on switch and it's massive. beautiful art and world, amazing characters and story, incredible experience that runs smooth. These guys use Switch Witchcraft or something.     Highly recommend this game, it's the darkest from the series, but I can't put it down; you get lost very easily but it's not annoying because there is a lot to do always and everywhere, not a basic open world game because there is always something that calls your attention and you enjoy as well getting there.

    Still playing it and loving it! Please play it!

    This is a love letter to all Xenoblade fans when it comes to all the references of past games.     This is a love letter to all Xenoblade fans when it comes to all the references of past games. Without getting into too much detail or spoilers there is just a few caveats to the game that hinders it to have a perfect score, like the fact that all initial tutorials are vast and not skippable.

    Now for the goods things: The combat mechanic is mostly unchanged from previous games, in fact, it feels like a combination of Xenoblade 1, 2 and Torna DLC, while also simplifying its chain attack functionality. Leveling became non tedious thanks to the existence of new mob category (ELITE) which grants a minimum of 150% EXP bonus, combined this with overkill, a chain attack function which adds a 300% EXP bonus and you have the recipe of easy leveling.

    Story is very intriguing and it doesn't shy away from the concepts of betray, grief, despair, death and fear. it shows a very crude reality of war, while also introducing concepts of existentialism something that most Xeno series include on their stories.

    Overall, its a well rounded story, gameplay is smooth and dynamic, cinematics are incredibly filled with emotion from the characters involved, and the game engine can handle heavy amounts of passive and aggressive NPC without feeling slow or stuttering, making its vast world feel alive and not empty at all.    … Expand

    Seguramente para mucha gente sea el mejor JRPG de los últimos años. Para mí desde luego lo es.
    Tiene todo lo que un buen JRPG debe tener.
    Narrativa, exploración, combates, misiones secundarias que no son solo de recadero, personajes carismáticos, etc...
    Ojalá Monolith Soft nos siga sorprendiendo con títulos de este calibre, aunque ha dejado el listón muy alto.

    This game capture the best that Xenoblade Chronicles can offer based in the past two other games. Basically:

    Story = 10/10. Intriguing, touching and presents a good premise.
    Combat = 9/10. Fun and dynamic. Not much strategically based like XC2 but it's well done.
    Music = 10/10. Good OST. Every music fits with the momment.
    Characters: 10/10. Everyone gets attention and developement.

    This game is amazing, good gameplay, AMAZING characters, good music, and nice graphics for Switch standars. The story tho, oh my god it's great, literally.
    if you like party interactions, good chemistry among protagonists and genuinely good romances, then the game's for you.

The class system lets you completely change the way you play to how you want to. I really liked a certain character but did not like their class and perfect playing as a healer, but with a press of a button, boom! i'm a different class that plays completely different

    The world is huge and vast with many breathtaking views and incredible landscapes. Say what you want about this game's performance, you can't deny that the art style is amazing. Each NPC and character has a unique and charming design, that just makes you care about each of them even more. No spoilers, but the games story seems rather simple at first, but as you progress you will learn to take nothing and face value. It has more twists and turns then I can count, and a plot twist for the ages. If you are looking to get into JRPGS, are a long time fan of the series, or even if you don't think it's your cup of tea, I can't recommend it enough. it might just be my favorite game of all time, and it's by far the best game on switch. The third game in one of my favourite games definitely doesn't disappoint in its world, premise, combat, exploration and some of the heavy story moments. The world is very detained and vast and the side quests that fill it are very fun now compared to some of the other games. The story is very good with both the ending of chapter 5 and the ending of the game hit very hard with a really good romance built between the 2 main characters. However, it left some considerable holes which I would have liked to see get an explanation. Overall I would say I still enjoy the satisfaction of learning about XC2's lore more but every other element is better in XC3 making this game a solid 9.5/10 for me. (edit im now raising it up to a 10 because future redeemed gave me basically all i wanted to tie up the loose ends of this game, definitely a must play)… Expand

    The story (darker than the previous ones), characters, soundtracks, graphics (for a Switch of course) everything is great. If you like JRPG, i strongly recommend you to give it a try. The handheld mode runs pretty well and it wasn't the case for the previous games of the series.

    The best in the series and probably the best RPG since Chrono Trigger. 10/10 OST, 10/10 story, 10/10 gameplay. Graphics are surely held back by the Switch but are still as good as they could have gotten.

    Oh dear. Where do I begin. Its so awesome! I've seen that some people dislike the ending, but I adore it! The Combat System is a lot of fun and only second to Torna in the series. There are a lot of references to previous games but they really didn't lie that you don't have to know what happens in those to enjoy this game

    Amazing game 100/10, this time they made sure to have a strong start different from XB2. It has an incredible soundtrack and the combo system / gameplay is top notch.

    I'm tired of people complaining about the graphics when the game is already pushing beyond the limits of the switch, I also wish it was in a more capable console so the game could shine even more, hopefully one day Nintendo    Amazing game 100/10, this time they made sure to have a strong start different from XB2. As a fan of the Xeno series who has completed every single game, this game is absolutely perfect in every way. The story, characters, music, combat, and world are all extremely innovative and immersive. I cannot say more about the game other than to play it yourself.     Es un juego maravilloso, lo acabo de terminar luego de 2 semanas largas de entretención, en lo gráfico pone a sudar a la NSW, la música es grandiosa me puso siempre los pelos de escarpia de principio a fin, el final que se mezcla con el 2, un final hermoso y triste pero esperanzador a la vez, una obra sublime.

Everything from the previous games is iterated upon to make something truly enjoyable throughout the whole playthrough. The story and soundtrack take the lead here, and as you may be aware the long cutscenes are a signature of the series.

    After playing through the previous instalments, this really does feel like a culmination of everything so far. It's hard to explain the magic this series has, absolutely unique to the series with it's storytelling and music. If you aren't a fan of jrpgs it might be a hard sell, but I'm of the opinion you need to at least give it a try. The stories of these game have left an impression for a long time, re-watching cutscenes on youtube even months after I've finished the game, and this is no exception.

    The combat is vastly improved on the prior games, and I've found myself happily grinding away at levelling all the classes, completely enjoying my time doing so. If you like the previous games you have probably already bought it, if you're new to the series this one is fantastic, however I would recommend playing the other 2 first.

    I completed the story at around 100 hours in, however I did a lot of side content, and was really desperate to get the story finished. So much content is present here, and the side quests are the only thing I have to mark the game down on. Similar to the prior games some quests feel very dull, gathering or follow quests, while others are brilliant and would be a shame to miss. It's very hit or miss with these, but as a whole it's a big improvement on the previous games.

    Fingers crossed the dlc lives up to expectations, and adds more to the game as many are hoping. While personal preference plays into this, I have to say I enjoyed xenoblade chronicles 3 even more than elden ring, which was my other must play this year.

    Just sad to have finished this game, it's rare for me to enjoy a game this much and they really don't come often. If you're on the fence, have enjoyed jrpgs or story heavy games in the past, please give this a go. You might find your new favourite series!    … Expand

    One of the Top JRPG games I’ve ever had. Story is perfectly built, new features are satisfying, and the appealing characters for sure. I liked this story the best out of all Xenoblade.     This is the best JRPG (Japanese Role-Playing Game for those who think it's confusing) in existence. The only JRPG to ever surpass the other Xenoblade games in my opinion. Don't think this is bad at all. 11 out of 10.

    the game world is HUGE and varied, featuring locations from past games mashed together in a wonderful and unique world, filled to the brim with side quests, easter eggs and usefull items, something tgìhat was directly taken (and in many ways improved) from xc x;
    side characters are way more intresting then many of the non-main cast characters in the other entries of the series (case and point, Ethel and Cammuravi);
    the graphics look fantastic, even tough the switch's limitations hold them back;
    the character designs look fantastic, giving you a sense of the general character with just the siluette. also long gone are the days of BIG BOBBA from xc 2, for better or for worst;
    the combat feels responsive and unique, it takes the best aspects from every entry so far and expands upon it, while giving it its own spin;
    last but not least, the story is **** AMAZING and i think it's the best one so far and by a pretty significant ammount.

    overall, i think it's a masterpice worth the price of 60 euros and then some more.

The gameplay, story, music, voice acting, and even graphics (at least for Switch standards) are all top notch. I would personally advise playing the first two games before this one, but there is still more than enough fantastic original content for anyone to enjoy, even if they have no prior experience with the series.
    To give a bit of context, I played DE and 2 back in 2020 and loved them both. They both have flaws that I can acknowledge, but the core experiences are more than enough to make up for these flaws and make the games very enjoyable. The same is true here, but even more so. The gameplay is the strongest we've seen in the series, combining the best aspects of 1 and 2's combat while taking out the flaws that dragged them down. I never got tired of battles, even after putting over 140 hours into this game (which is more than I put into DE after 2 playthroughs). It's also the most fun I have ever had exploring a game's world. It's significantly bigger than those of the first two, but each corner of this world has something for you to do or find. Whether it be a secret area, unique monster, container, etc, you are always rewarded for exploring off the beaten path. Combine this with the excellent combat, and you have a recipe for a game that will keep you hooked beginning to end and plenty after.
    The story may not quite be on par with the first game (my opinion might change later though), but it is still an engaging, thought-provoking wild ride that will make you laugh, cry, and want to keep playing more. However, the actual plot isn't the best part of the story: it's the characters and world. All of the characters are likeable and well developed, giving us the strongest main cast in the series (my personal favorites are Taion and Eunie). Their interactions are always a treat, and some of the best parts of the story are when characters are just talking or goofing around. Seeing the party grow to like each other and discover more about themselves is a joy, and, by the end, you will have grown to appreciate each and every one of them. The world building is spectacular, completely immersing you and making you feel like you're living right alongside them. It has a lot of unique rules and concepts, but all of them are properly explained in a way that feels natural and not overly expositional. Additionally, all of these rules and concepts are expertly applied to the story and accentuate the themes. Almost everything has some importance to the plot, making the entire experience synthesize together perfectly.
    Now, the game does have a few flaws. First, it was recently discovered that cooking does literally nothing. This will almost certainly be patched later, but if you're reading this before then, don't waste your ingredients and Nopon Coins. The tutorials are a massive improvement on 2's, which didn't explain everything to the player, were cryptic, and even downright misleading. However, 3 might have overcorrected a bit, since some of the tutorials feel kinda handholdy, particularly the bonus XP and accessory tutorials. However, I'd rather have a game explain too much than not enough, so it's mostly fine. Someone who's unfamiliar with the series might be put off by the unique accents or repeated voice lines (yes, Eunie, we know Lanz wants something a bit meatier). Personally, I find that it only adds to the charm of the series, but I would understand if others found it a bit grating. It's just something to be aware of. Lastly, the game can give you way too much experience at times, so I would advise saving most of your bonus XP until you absolutely need it. That way, you should hopefully be on par with most of the main story bosses while still being able to do some side quests. Additionally, if you feel the game is getting a little too easy, you can always switch to hard mode. I think hard mode is still completely manageable if you have a good understanding of the mechanics, and you can always switch back if you find it to be too difficult.
    However, these flaws are extremely minor. Most players might not even notice these things, and the game is so good that it's easy to forget that these flaws even exist. This is MonolithSoft's masterpiece, and is a game that I would tell just about anyone to play. Whether this is your first game in the series or you've been playing them ever since the original on the Wii, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will almost surely keep you engaged and joyful the whole way through. It's my personal game of the year, and I hope it at least gets nominated for something at this year's Game Awards. Monolith have had to work so hard to get to this point, and they deserve all of the praise and recognition that they get.    … Expand

    I decided to get into this saga with this game, and the truth is that it has been very comforting, the game is complex but at the same time simple, different from anything I have played, the story is very good, and in general, in all the aspects there is a lot of quality. It has become one of my favorite games.

Ma grazie a questo gioco ho riscoperto un amore per una serie molto sottovalutata. Ho amato in particolare il sistema di combattimento che mi ha intrigato fin al primo scontro. La trama anche se prevedibile, riesce a catturarti fin da subito. PerQuesto gioco per me raggiunge il mio Goty 2022. Finalmente un gioco che posso chiamare JRPG PURO.     This game is an absolute masterpiece the story the music the characters and gameplay are all incredible the only negative about this game is the lack of replay value but aside from that I’d say this game is almost perfect if you have a switch this is an absolute must play

    Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a clear improvement over its predecessors in almost every way. It streamlines so much and avoids past pitfalls, though there’s still work to be done in terms of balancing the difficulty. There’s a grounded story here with a solid cast of characters, and the basic plot is much easier to digest. The world design exceeds past efforts with ease, and the implementation of Hero Quests is a game changer. While the devs have done an admirable job making the battle system easier to grasp, it feels like the series has fully explored and exhausted these core combat mechanics, signaling it’s time for the next game to change things up. As a whole, it stands as a phenomenal RPG with a one-of-a-kind sense of exploration you can’t find anywhere else.
