    Best of the mainline series by far (never finished X). Impressive on a technical level for a Switch game, and the artistic direction is also on point. The story starts off a fair bit darker than 1 and 2, but I would definitely consider it the best of the trilogy as well. Combat still has a gazillion mechanics, but they seem to be more coherently put together than the previous games. ThereBest of the mainline series by far (never finished X). There is quite a bit of MMO influence w/ positionals and cooldowns, but as an MMO fan, I consider this a good thing, and it’s not particular different from 2 in that regard.

    The English voice acting is an improvement over 2, which was hit or miss. The music / sound is above average for a JRPG, though not in the level of a title like FFXIV.

    Most importantly, it’s just fun and has an interesting story. My only gripe would be that it had the same tutorial flow as most JRPGs, where you basically follow along with an on-screen instruction manual. This is pretty standard for JRPGs, but this one aspect does seem a bit outdated. All in all, one of the best impulse purchases I’ve made in a long time.    … Expand

    The game is a HUGE improvement in every sense imaginable! Amazing cutscenes, refined and expanded battle system and clear resolution on TV and docked mode. Don’t be fooled by the shills trying to review bomb it for some reason. Great game and a total must buy if you love this series or like JRPGs in general.

    I havent actually played the game yet. I just gave it a 10 because of all the damage control, review bombing and nintendo haters on the user score. I dont care if its morally correct, i dont care if i havent played it. Because most people that gave it bad reviews most likely havent played it yet and are just jealous they cant play this on a ps5/xbox series. There are people that just complain about the graphics and say that the characters are “too anime” I bet those people just saw the character designs and artstyle and inmediately thought it was just a dating simulator with stereotypical anime characters… Expand

    Another beautiful master piece by Monolith Soft, they once again show the gaming industry how an open world game should be made. I don't want to post any spoilers since this is a story driven game, but I will say this game is a must play for anyone looking for a great JRPG game to play.

    The story took a more serious tone compared to the 2nd game which is not necessarily better but seem to be easier to be accepted by normies who about to dive to this game.     The combat is definitely different than most JRPG you see, its a real time action but at the same time also an ATB like final fantasy, which makes the sadly still presents frame drops barely matter, so for game this good to be on Nintendo Switch is already a miracle.

    If you don't like anime visual, you probably wont like this game because compared to Xenoblade 1, this one is heavily anime looking especiailly with Saito Masatsugu at the helm of the character design, but in the exact opposite, if you love anime visual, you will deeply in love with the game!

    and of course the music, which is obvious if you played the other 2 game, is really top notch JRPG quality, and this time its borrowing some le'motif from previous games' music into the new ones which gave veterans a sense of coming home!

    overall, this game is a treat, not only to the eyes, but for your soul.    … Expand

    After 40 hours, the game is close to customs clearance. There are some small problems, such as no atlas, but the game is excellent on the whole, and the system has evolved a lot. I personally like the story, but it is a little slow in the early stage。

    From what I've played, it's pretty darn good. The music is probably some of the best in the series, and the gameplay has improved quite a bit as far as combat's concerned. The voice acting and the animations have improved quite a bit too, especially after XC2. I'd probably rate this at an 8 or a 9, but for now, I'll give it a 10 to counter the review bombing.

    The game is outstanding. They have improved the battle mechanics to be the best of 1 and 2. The wold is interesting and fun to explore. The characters are fun and fresh and the story, so far, is outstanding. The game pushes the switches hardware. It's a masterpiece and deserves game of the year.

    Don't know where all this negativity is coming from. Game literally improves on all its predecessors. Walking animations actually stick to the ground. Lip sync is not god awful like Xenoblade 2. Xenoblade 2 was unacceptable with the voices and animations. No blade gacha system, and the character designs literally fit in the universe, unlike XB2 where every antagonist looks like they areDon't know where all this negativity is coming from.     Very fun game. Never played an RPG that allowed me to have 7 active party members. To me, that is unique. The graphics do need a little bit more work, but I feel like its not the dev's fault, but the age of the switch. I definitely recommend this game for the gameplay!

    Compared to the previous installments in the franchise, this one really shines bright. The musical scores are bigger and better than before.

    The story is really great, and even better when you complete some side quests. The combat is more intuitive and pleasing than the Blade/Driver system in Xenoblade 2.

    Overall really enjoyed this game and cannot wait to see what the DLC brings in the future

    I play it now 25h, rly Great Game, Story, Music, Characters, Open World, Quesrts. All is rly good. The Combat-System works perfect.
    Pros:
    Big Open World, Music, Characters, Gameplay, Storywriting.
    Neutral: Tutorials (sometimes way to much), Textures (Hardware Limitations, so more a Switch Problem and not Monoloths)

    This game is one of the best jrpgs in years. Over 30h in to the game my impressions are:

    Pros:

    - World is absolutely huge, and I mean huge, the first big region you encounter in this game can be its own open world game in its own right, for reference, combine all the regions in Pokemon Legends Arceus, and it still won't be half as big as this one singular region of multiple regions in this game!

    - Story is of a darker tone and is incredible writing, many people disliked the tone in some scenes of two, there is none of that in this game, but there are still many lighthearted moments where it still feels natural to the setting of the game and characters.

    - Main characters are great and all have their big part to play in the story, well developed.

    - Voice directing is much better, the whole English cast did a great job in the game, and for a JRPG, the English dub is one of the better dubs for this genre. Amiee Ffion Edwards (Mio) does a remarkable job.

    - Combat is the best in the series, easier to get into compared to 2, and there is a lot of customization and playstyles to suit your need, you will notice that you will end up playing with all the characters throughout the game instead of one due to the mechanics and class learning.

    - The horrid fetch quests are mostly now tied to a particular collectpedia card feature which is a nice QoL change

    Cons

    - Default sound settings need to be adjusted as the music can be too loud for when the characters talk which means you are forced to read the subtitles, this is a reoccurring trait with Xeno games.

    In- Early game it is quite easy to become over-leveled if you are out exploring and doing some quests, but this changes the later you get into the game.    … Expand

    The game optimizes many shortcomings of the previous game. The design of the regional task is a big breakthrough. I like it very much. The plot is very deep. I have to think about it before I can understand it. In general, xc3 has completed the evolution of the series. I look forward to the future xc.

    Everything is really good And For a Switch game it is looking really good

    The ultimate crescendo to the numbered series so far taking all the positives from 1, 2, and the DLCs without any of the problematic issues. They've streamlined the menus, tutorials, collecting, and side quests with an amazing story and characters. Moreover, they've managed to push the switch to it's limits. This game looks and runs amazing for the system. Great in handheld too.

The cast of characters is immediately likeable and interesting, the story is intriguing, and the gameplay is the most involved it's ever been. Most of the filler which plagued Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is relegated to side content, and quite a lot of the game is eminently missable - which is a good thing,Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is an absolute joy to play, and the pinnacle of the franchise. The cast of characters is immediately likeable and interesting, the story is intriguing, and the gameplay is the most involved it's ever been. Most of the filler which plagued Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is relegated to side content, and quite a lot of the game is eminently missable - which is a good thing, because it means the fluff is optional for those of you who dislike it. Likewise, the story is a lot more balanced than the first Xenoblade game. No more cast members disappearing into irrelevance when their main arc is complete.

    I wholeheartedly recommend the game, even to those of you who aren't familiar with Xenoblade. Please, check it out. You're robbing yourself of one of the best experiences of all time otherwise.    … Expand

    Since I got this game on I have played +20h and I can assure this is the best Xenoblade Chronicles game so far. Perfectioned gameplay with an excelent OST all the time. The landscapes are incredible and they look similar to other xeno games. The plot and characters are incredible. 100% rexommended

    You can tell they took the best aspects of either game to make the best product possible. I also cant believe how much can be happening on the screen at one time. Impressive!

    Great music, Really nice cutscenes and well done gameplay. But be prepared for lots of tutorials and systems to learn ;)

    Monlithsoft has managed to create something truly special with the latest installment in the Xenoblade Chronicles franchise.

    I'm shocked by the amount of complexity, and even more-so that this level of complexity was made palettable. The class system is truly innovative, and the side mechanics like gemcrafting and cooking feel genuinely useful. Other systems such as inventory managment,    Monlithsoft has managed to create something truly special with the latest installment in the Xenoblade Chronicles franchise.

    I'm shocked by the amount of complexity, and even more-so that this level of complexity was made palettable. The class system is truly innovative, and the side mechanics like gemcrafting and cooking feel genuinely useful. Other systems such as inventory managment, ether collecting, and temporary party members serve to make an overarching system more complex than I could've anticipated. But not in a way that takes away from the grand picture, rather, they simply make it even more beautiful.

    Combat is revolutionized in this game with the ability to change the class of any character. When classes are mastered, abilities can be shared between classes. You can freely switch between party members in and out of battle, all if whome have their own classes with mastered abilities and inherent strengths and waeknesses. Combine all of this with the fusion and chain attack mechanics, and there's never a dull moment in battle. I couldn't have said this about previous titles in the franchise... not to say they were dull all of the time. One thing they nailed in particular is the feeling that weapons actually weigh as heavy or as light as they look. When you're beating an enemy around with a giant hammer every swing takes it's time; when the swing lands you send the enemy flying, and upon contact you feel a satisfying rumble in the controller and witness a brief pause on screen. All of which emphasizes the gravity of each blow.

    Another impressive feat is that sidequests don't feel unbearably generic like in past titles. Don't get me wrong, collecting mushrooms for some nameless NPC is a staple of just about any JRPG. But I'd be lying if I said it isn't a breath of fresh air to feel like I'm doing something meaningful, even when completing quests apart from the main questline. "Hero" quests categorically speaking stand out as interesting side-plots with the always satisfying reward of unlocking a new class, which can then be used to master new abilities as well as unlock fasion in the way of new outfits. Speaking of the main questline, it is undeniably the strongest in the series. Where the others touched on similar subjects, they failed to make them feel truly heavy or meaningful like they feel in this latest installment. Monolithsoft has struck the perfect balance of light heartedness and soul crushing peril.

    Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is an obvious must-play. Now standing tall above the rest of its peers as a shining example of what others should shoot for in terms of complexitiy, digestibility, and overall narrative.    … Expand

    This game is genuinely the best looking first party Nintendo game on the switch graphics wise. The attention to detail in this game is insane. If you enjoyed the other Xenoblade games, you would enjoy this game. MonolithSoft has outdone themselves once again.

This game is a major improvement from Xenoblade 1 and 2, the combat has depth, the music is still as good as ever and the story is REALLY GOOD, specially after part 6 and the voice acting is also way better than past games (plus now there's lip sync yay lol).

    Xenoblade 3 is truly amazing. You can feel the passion, the experience and the love put into it. The developers have used their knowledge and expertise from developing Xenoblade 1, 2 and X to make this game the most fine-tuned in everyway, from the story, gameplay to Quality of Life improvements. If there's any complaint it would be the long tutorial.

    I’m a veteran fan of the Xenoblade games with X being my favourite followed 1 (DE) and then 2. I’m about 8 hours in and so far this iteration of the series improves on the previous entries graphically, stylistically, and in gameplay. It’s a flawed masterpiece, like the games that came before hand, but I maintain a 10 scoring to reflect the net enjoyment the game brings me.

    In my opinion, xenoblade 3 is by far the best xenoblade game. With better UI, higher resolution , advanced battle system, and of course the music and character design, if you love xenoblade 1 and 2, this is the game that will not disappoint you!

    Just started the game and as a long time fan of the xeno series I immediately appreciated the direction of this game. Maybe, in the ling run, this game would not be technically flawless , some features would be frustrating, and pacing would be far from perfect but just from a few hours of gameplay and cutscenes( the scene where Keves' soldiers walk over Agnus' soldiers dead bodies isJust started the game and as a long time fan of the xeno series I immediately appreciated the direction of this game.     here come the people review bombing and calling the battle system boring without even understanding the mechanics past auto attacking. the exact same happened with 2, so I'm not surprised. if you can't understand the game, you should go back to fortnite!

    What amazing game and story line! I was addicted to the game within a hour! This series just keeps getting better and better as each game comes out and they improve the combat from the previous ones!
    It gets confusing at times but they have the tips area to help remind if get lost on how to do things! This game I would definitely recommend to anyone that loves jrpgs

    Another great Xenoblade Chronicles game! The story is great, the combat is fun, the length of the game is what I love about JRPGs, cutscenes are also another favorite of mine for JRPGs.     The game is an evolution is every single aspect from the previous titles. It offers advanced and polished combat and well implemented graphics which is a huge step from Xenoblade 2. Apart from these, the story is engaging, multilayered and well designed with very interesting and unique protagonists, antagonists and secondary characters.

    Fell in love with xeno on the PSX and it continued to WIIU. Fav is still Xenoblade Chronicles X. You cannot go wrong with robots in rpgs. The way they made game work on the Wii was pure magic. Don't believe some of the nitpicking. All games have something to be nitpicky about. This game is beautiful, great sound, great game play and sorry mode

Mejora en todo a sus predecesores, haciendo que oas mecánicas de juego vengan acompañadas de tutoriales más llevaderos y con un ritmo pausado para no agobiar a gente nueva que se introduce en la franquicia.     Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a clear improvement over its predecessors in almost every way. It streamlines so much and avoids past pitfalls, though there’s still work to be done in terms of balancing the difficulty. There’s a grounded story here with a solid cast of characters, and the basic plot is much easier to digest. The world design exceeds past efforts with ease, and the implementation of Hero Quests is a game changer. While the devs have done an admirable job making the battle system easier to grasp, it feels like the series has fully explored and exhausted these core combat mechanics, signaling it’s time for the next game to change things up. As a whole, it stands as a phenomenal RPG with a one-of-a-kind sense of exploration you can’t find anywhere else.
