    Without exaggeration, The Outer Worlds for Nintendo Switch is one of the worst games in terms of graphics, compared to which any remaster from the PlayStation 2 looks amazing. A team created a truly terrifying port of a very good game. In order not to feel cheated, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the creation of Obsidian on PC, PS4, PS4 Pro or Xbox One X.

    Do not do this to yourself, if you want to play this game (which you should) go ahead and play it on any other platform than Nintendo Switch. This port was so poorly done that it made me wonder am I losing sight.

    But even the "great for portable play" sales pitch suffers from a big issue: Obsidian has opted not to include any form of cloud-save support. You can't transfer your progress from the Switch version to any other console or PC version, or vice versa. (This pales in comparison to cloud-save support for the likes of Witcher 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2.) And that makes the visual downgrades much tougher to suggest for anyone who owns other ways to play this game at home.

    The Outer Worlds is not at its best on Switch, since the visuals and performance take a serious hit on the system. The textures, framerate, lighting, and more have been downgraded to run on the hardware.

    It does run, and if you can tolerate this reduced level of performance it’s certainly worth playing. As with Doom and The Witcher 3 before it, while the Switch port may be far from the best version of The Outer Worlds, it’s impressive that we’re able to experience this scale of game on a portable system at all.

    I got through the opening and it was fine then you create your character and ok its still decent then he drops you to the planet and I startI got through the opening and it was fine then you create your character and ok its still decent then he drops you to the planet and I start playing and instantly was hit with ....wow this graphics are extremely disappointing. Stopped playing and now will just wait for a pro system and an update from obsidian because I just spent 50 bucks on this game...oh wellll… Full Review »
