    Masterpiece!! This game is amazing in every way. A game that I could play for years and never get sick of. If you bash this game, you obviously haven't even gave it a chance. I get it won't be for everyone but if you give this game a bad rating you just hate life.

    I don’t know how they did. They managed to double the size of the map with underground depths. And have huge expansive sky islands. Everything in this game that you do feels like a discovery you made. Just buy this game, you can play it everywhere and anywhere. If any game was worth $70 it’s this one. There won’t be a game like this for a long time.

    Simplemente increíble, uno de los mejores juegos de aventuras mejor creados por Nintendo hasta la fecha. Mantiene y mejora unas físicas pulidísimas que rara vez se pueden ver en otros títulos. Las mecánicas jugarles y habilidades están tan perfectamente integradas que supone un reto constante a la creatividad para la imaginación. La historia con la narrativa supera por mucho a suSimplemente increíble, uno de los mejores juegos de aventuras mejor creados por Nintendo hasta la fecha.     Having finished Breath of the Wild 3 times since 2017, I was wondering if Tears of the Kingdom could bring the sense of awe and adventure I felt with the first game. I can safely say that YES, it ABSOLUTELY is!! ToTK feels new and exciting as well but somewhat familiar at the same time. Exploration feels AWESOME with all the verticality added to the kingdom of Hyrule! The new "Fuse"Having finished Breath of the Wild 3 times since 2017, I was wondering if Tears of the Kingdom could bring the sense of awe and adventure I felt with the first game.     Breath of the Wild was a unique and fantastic experience that I will always remember and that left an indelible mark on video game history, regardless of whether I liked it or not. This game takes the best (and worst) aspects of its predecessor and updates them magnificently, contextually with the storyline.     On sait déjà que le jeu est une suite directe de BOTW, et donc il est normal que l'histoire se passe dans le même univers, et déjà dès le début TOTK pose l'intrigue proprement et nous montre comment on est toujours dans Hyrule de la fin de BOTW et comment les changements vont être déclenchés. J'avoue que je ne croyais pas à la capacité de Nintendo ou un autre éditeur de surpasser BOTW. Avec ce TOTK on peut affirmer facilement que c'est le cas.… Expand

    If you take out the new building and forging mechanics out of it - it is the same Zelda you played 6 years ago. Sure, it's not a bad game, it's still very decent - but it's the SAME. You can't add 3 game mechanics, new mediocre story with similar elements, use the same map, and call that a brand-new game.     This game is amazing truely a game of the generation fix major complaints from the previous game. The world is alive and teeming with quest to do and things to discoved. The story also takes a more foward role the game like zelda games of the past and is truley deserving of all the praise it receives!

The review bombing "reasons" have little to do with how much you give a score something. I base my score on how much I enjoyed the game. Of course if you didn't like breath of the wild, you really shouldn't have bought Tears of the Kingdom. And if you did like breath of the wild, how is improving on what's already there and adding new enemies, features, music etc a bad thing? Whether or not it's worth 70 dollars is a different topic entirely, and shouldn't be a factor in a games score. Money has nothing to do with whether or not you gave a game a 0 or a 10. Like literally nothing.

    What an experience this masterpiece is, Nintendo has really outdone themselves and this is a swan song for their current console. Also, review bombing this game just because another game is being review bombed won’t change the fact that said game is formulaic and boring.

    As a Zelda fan since I was little and played from gameboy to BOTW, this game disappointed me and made me sad, we waited 6 years and we got a BOTW DLC with a lot of extra mechanics and forced length / difficulty, they didn’t improve on any of the critics of BOTW and they doubled down, we still have the annoying Kokok challenge, the paper breakable weapons, the same puzzle shrines, wastedAs a Zelda fan since I was little and played from gameboy to BOTW, this game disappointed me and made me sad, we waited 6 years and we got a BOTW DLC with a lot of extra mechanics and forced length / difficulty, they didn’t improve on any of the critics of BOTW and they doubled down, we still have the annoying Kokok challenge, the paper breakable weapons, the same puzzle shrines, wasted opportunity of using the assets which look super nice tbh, to do a classic Zelda game, instead they reused every asset and they just made the same game formula of BOTW, seriously 2 years and a 40 dll DLC would’ve been fine, this is just lazy and greedy.… Expand

    The map is almost the same from BotW, But now have 3 layers instead of only one, The animations and some of the weapons are the same from BotW, But there is a totally new story, new enemies, new bosses, new shrines, New Powers and improved gameplay. The game is a gem, Strong contender for GOTY! Very fun and over 50 to 100 hours of gameplay. I do recommend to everyone!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. In my opinion, Tears of the Kingdom is the pinnacle of gaming, and by that also the best game on the Nintendo Switch. Breath of the Wild, it's predecessor, was also a fantastic game, but it lacked quite a few things to make it perfect: The exploration was often interrupted by rain, it's Version of Ganon felt shallow, collecting the Koroks felt repetetive and even though they were fun to play, the divine beasts weren't unique enough, in the sense that they all shared the same theme. Tears of the Kingdom expandes on all of these things. There are tons of new ways to explore Hyrule wether it is via vehicles that you can design and build yourselft, by using adapted climbing suits, the new ascend ability, and the fuse ability. They also reintroduced traditional dungeons, which is one of my highlights in the game. Though they are a bit easy compared to other entries in the franchise like Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess, they're still a ton of fun to play. The Hunt for Korok seeds also became a lot more fun, due to the fact that there are some completely new ways to collect them. The story is also very intriguing and delves a lot more into the lore of the series. Just like in breath of the wild, you experience the story via memories that you can obtain by absorbing dragon tears, but there's also another storyline going on in the present, and both of them are connected. This games version of Ganon(dorf) is far better than the one in botw. The map also became far bigger, because this time you don't only play on the Land of Hyrule itself, but also in the sky and in the Underground. Zelda has never been as ambiguous before, as it is in Tears of the Kingdom. It's truly the ultimate gaming experience :)… Expand

First of all yes the game reuses the same surface map, although it’s not the same, for example all of the lava in death mountain is gone for the most part, and none of the towers and shrines from the previous game are there anymore.     First of all yes the game reuses the same surface map, although it’s not the same, for example all of the lava in death mountain is gone for the most part, and none of the towers and shrines from the previous game are there anymore. Tears of the kingdom map is easily DOUBLE the size of breath of the wild’s map, the game has new caves, sky islands, and a completely new map called the depths which goes through all the underground of hyrule, so no it’s not just the same map, it’s double the size.

    The gameplay is not the same, all of the old abilities have been replaced with new ones that are more useful and fun to use such as the ultra hand which allows you to build all sorts of things, or a new ability that allows you to combine items which can be used to make a flamethrower spear.

    The towers and shrines do return however, but the shrines are a lot more fun to complete and doesn’t feel much like a chore anymore, with the new abilities the game allows you to complete the puzzles in multiple creative ways and it’s not as repetitive like in Breath of the wild. You no longer have to climb all the towers to unlock the map, instead it’s a mini side quest that takes around a minute or 2 to complete, and once you’ve done it the tower launches you high in the air which is useful to explore the sky islands.

    The dungeons are really well made and fun to explore, they are not like the traditional Zelda dungeons but me and my friend spent a couple hours taking turns solving the puzzles of the fire temple, and that convinced him to buy the game, it was a blast, although you still have to activate terminals to fight the boss (By the way the bosses are way better than botw). This game is so fun to play, and it’s definitely a worthy sequel of BOTW that improves in most of the aspects from the previous game.

    Only real complaint is the frame rate, but that’s not a game issue, it’s a switch issue.

    Tears of the kingdom is not a dlc, it’s a SEQUEL, a stand alone Zelda title and a must play.    … Expand

    One of the rare games today that isn't sold half finished, this game has the sense of discovery and wonder similar to playing BOTW for the fist time. It also contains a ton of content and locations to explore. The graphics are outstanding and it looks fantastic at 30 frames per second, making it clear why this game is such a gem.

    How did they Jam Pack all of this into a switch game I’ll never know. There are side adventures that last longer than some games main quest lines. Everything is more engaging and alive and progresses as you do.     Some people are hating on this game for no reason, if you liked Botw you will love this game, the only bad thing its the performance, sometimes it drops to 15/20 but is much less frequent on the Doc, I absolutely recommend!

    Es un juegazo, es breath of the wild mejorado, con mejor historia, mejores misiones secundarias y añade nuevas mecánicas. Se puede tomar como un DLC de 70 horas que mejora en todo al anterior, imprescindible si te gustó el primero. Lo único malo que le veo es que si juegas en portátil vas a tener algún que otro bajón de rendimiento, así que lo recomiendo jugar en monitor o televisión siEs un juegazo, es breath of the wild mejorado, con mejor historia, mejores misiones secundarias y añade nuevas mecánicas.     ive been waiting for this since it announced in 2019 and this game makes breath of the wild look bad in comparison.. it basically took botw, times'd it by 3, and fixed almost all my issues i had with the original game

    The bosses are wonderful, exploring the underground and the sky I love, and Link's new abilities make the game experience something unique, I love the ultrahand ability because with it I can create many things, I could even create a robot that chases enemies!

    This game went above and beyond. I think it might take 200 hrs just to explore the world. I cannot recommend this experience enough. I’m 15 hours in and this is better than BOTW…which I consider the greatest game ever made. 15/10

Better abilities, far better story and while the graphics may not be the best in the industry, it is hardly noticeable once you actually start playing and get into all the beauty that this game has to offer. The sheer amount to discover as you create your own path through a hyrule, changed from breath of the wild by the upheaval, from the story, koroks, complex cave systems, wells, underground, sky islands... is just staggering.     Me ha gustado mucho el juego, es una continuacion de la historia de BOTW asi que no se porque se quejan si es el mismo mapa, hay 2 mapas nuevos igual de grandes que el principal, las mecanicas nuevas lo hacen mucho mas entretenido que el primer juego, para mi vale mucho la pena darle una oportunidad a este juego, te recomiendo que vayas primero por BOTW si no lo has jugado.

Banda sonora: Si varios de nosotros ya se maravillaron en su tiempo con la banda sonora BOTW, la verdad es que TOTK no deja nada que desear, como nota personal yo ya me estaba empezando a maravillar desde los trailer, me di mi tiempo para escuchar tranquilamente la mayoría de los temas de ambientación, combate, es una locura como (por lo menos a mi) me logra transmitir la música y los momentos en los que nos encontramos, en cuanto a esta parte no tengo mucha queja, más que algunos sonidos reciclados de la precuela, que tampoco es algo que moleste como tal al punto de no querer jugarlo (además de que no tendría sentido cambiarlo teniendo en cuenta que es el mismo "universo.")
    Historia
    A diferencia de BOTW, esta secuela viene cargadísima con muchas misiones (tanto principales, secundarias y los apartados de exploración y las pruebas heroicas), lo mejor de todo es que las misiones secundarias también tienen mucho que aportar a la historia, no haré mucho énfasis en eso pues es mejor descubrirlo por su cuenta. Ahora volviendo en si con lo que es historia, el juego empieza bastante fuerte, y van surgiendo muchas incógnitas que conforme vayas visitando lugares y avanzando se irán respondiendo, el desarrollo de la historia se vuelve muy interesante, el saber que esta pasando con el mundo de hyrule y que han sido de los personajes que conocimos en la entrega anterior y ya para terminar este apartado, el climax no sé como describirlo, es bastante emocionante dejando de lado el combate.

    Apartado técnico
    Escuche que el juego estaba terminado desde marzo del año pasado, hay que aplaudir el hecho de que se tomaran un año entero a querer pulir este juego y entregarnos esta obra, el como las mecánicas que nos ofrecen funcionen tan bien y no rompan el juego como tal, el hecho de no encontrar bugs, al menos en mi caso no encontré ningún bug por más cosas raras que intentara, el como algunas cosas que vimos en la entrega anterior regresaran, en este caso los santuarios y las "torres", que en este caso esta ultima la justifican, pero cabe mencionar que el hecho de que regresaran no significan que sean exactamente iguales, pues tienen su justificación, y en el caso de los santuarios son muchísimo más dinámicos y te otorgan lo que los desarrolladores buscaban con TOTK, la "libertad" es increíble las muchas formas en las que te puedes pasar las cosas, no solo los santuarios, sino a llegar a zonas, transportarte, jefes en el mundo, lo único que te limita en este caso es tu propia imaginación y creatividad

    Ahora si, lo que me causa indiferencia y lo que me parece mal

    Indiferencia

    El apartado visual, no hay mucho que decir, en mi opinión me parece exactamente lo mismo que BOTW, por supuesto, esta más pulido.

    Lo que no me gusta:

    Los compañeros, si lo hubieran hecho de otra forma quizás me hubiese gustado, alguna combinación de botones o algo así como las habilidades de BOTW, pero es que en este caso vas con 5 npcs y la verdad en combate más que ayudar, hacen todo lo contrario, muchas veces te entorpecen la visión y en otros casos cuando buscas alguno en especifico tienes que ir corriendo detrás de ellos para usar su habilidad, lo cual lo hace bastante incomodo, me gusta el concepto, pero la ejecución me dejo mal sabor.

    El rendimiento, ojo, esto no va influir en mi calificación, pues esto no es culpa del juego, sino de la consola, creo que muchos coincidirán en esto conmigo y es que es una pena que este juego saliera para la switch, con lo que se disfrutaría poderse jugar a 60 fps estables y sin caídas y con unos graficazos, por supuesto, este no es el caso y nos tenemos que aguantar, ojalá en algún futuro nintendo pueda hacer una consola que pueda soportar mejores gráficos y podamos disfrutar de una entrega que de a la talla, ahora con respecto al juego, es increíble como la switch puede moverlo sin que llore sangre en algunos momentos donde el juego peta con tantas cosas pasando en la pantalla.

    Cosas que me gustaron (de manera especifica)
    Misiones, este juego incluyen muchísimas misiones y que no sabes por donde empezar ni a donde ir, cosa que su antecesor no tenía en la misma cantidad.

    Exploración: Este juego fomenta muchísimo a la exploración, si vienes de la entrega anterior tendrías mucha curiosidad de en que estado se encuentran tus zonas favoritas y que otras cosas nuevas han aparecido, pues este juego ya no solo se limita la exploración en hyrule, sino que ahora tenemos un mapa subterráneo y el cielo.

    Mecánicas, lo dicho antes, es increíble como funcione todo tan bien sin que se rompa el juego.

    Creatividad, el juego además de fomentar a la exploración también fomenta a ser creativos en la resolución de problemas, muchos habrán resuelto algún santuario, llegado a una zona o pasándose algún templo de una forma distinta a la de otra persona, lo cual es un punto bastante bueno.    … Expand
