    The game as a whole was amazing. From the dungeons to the final boss, I was smiling the whole way through. I really don’t know how the Legend of Zelda franchise is ever going to top this.

    After playing 40+ hours of TotK I am going to say in my opinion it is better than BOTW the story is better, the dungeons are better for the most part and I found myself wanting to fully explore Hyrule more in this game than in BOTW. One thing I liked about it is the temple bosses are different from each other compared to the blights you face in Breath of the Wild, Colgera's fight wasAfter playing 40+ hours of TotK I am going to say in my opinion it is better than BOTW the story is better, the dungeons are better for the most part and I found myself wanting to fully explore Hyrule more in this game than in BOTW. One thing I liked about it is the temple bosses are different from each other compared to the blights you face in Breath of the Wild, Colgera's fight was actually impressive. Overall I'd prefer this game over BOTW… Expand

    Being able to feel the love I have for TP in ToTK (all other games as well.) I am amazed how they have able to one-up BoTW is incredible to me. Both story and just exploring the world once again and noticing the small details that have changed from BoTW and ToTK is beautifully done.

    Masterpiece in every sense. This is the best game I've ever played, perfect sequel to BOTW. All the negative ratings and reviews are funny and nonesense. This is a sequel what did you expect, the only complain is better graphics, but that's not a huge deal breaker for me.

    Game is amazing! Takes everything that worked well from botw and updated it with new twists and features that makes it a sprawling experience! Story is exciting, bosses are fun, puzzles are challenging and fun, and the world is bigger and better than ever! A must play 100%!

    Never have i ever played a single player game for so long and felt so rewarded in the end, as i say to my friends, Zelda TOTK is not just a game, it is an experience.

    The game builds itself in an fantastic away, and make a lot of other world exploration games looks kinda boring.

    Altough some of the Bosses could be better all the new abilities make this game a completly new Zelda game. Many people say that Totk is just an DLC and i understand that but with the addition of the dephts and the sky it's a new and fresh experience. The best thing in the game in my opinion is... YOU CAN ROAST KOROKS NOW

    The more you play the better it gets its genius with the abilitys and the new dungeosns but i wish they were a bit more classic zelda dungeons i love breath of the wild it changed my life and this is better the story is perfect and your so free i love it it could write for this reviev for hours but i wanna play the game more

    It’s like a fresh air, Nintendo did it again, when you think this couldn’t be better and it’s absolutely better. Totally addictive, you can’t be bored with the new mechanics of game, they having you playing by hours and hours.

    Over 100 hours in and yet I still have so much to do. It’s the game that just keeps giving. The size and scope of the game is second to none and I’ve never felt so free to explore every bit of it. It reminds me of how I felt playing Elden Ring, but I think that Tears of the Kingdom does exploration even better. It's so much easier to see something off in the distance and say, “I want to goOver 100 hours in and yet I still have so much to do. It’s the game that just keeps giving. The size and scope of the game is second to none and I’ve never felt so free to explore every bit of it. It reminds me of how I felt playing Elden Ring, but I think that Tears of the Kingdom does exploration even better. It's so much easier to see something off in the distance and say, “I want to go do that”, and it’s so easy to get there by building any vehicle you can imagine to transport you. The game just feels so advanced from any other game and is amazing in every category. Elden Ring and Breath of the Wild are both 10/10 games, but Tears of the Kingdom just breaks the scale. It would be a shame for any gamer to miss out on this experience. I’ve never done a metacritic review and created an account for this to be my first one.     Easily a 10/10. The people that rate this game less than a 8 haven't even played it for more than 20 hours before giving a half-assed review. This game is NOT the same of BoTW, not even close. New mechanics, better shrines, better rewards, better bosses, better dungeons, and most importantly, a much better story. Yeah, the graphics are pretty much the same.     Amazing game Nintendo did it again. I didn't really find any problem with the frame rate and the graphics are good too. Games aren't about graphics that Nintendo has tested over and over again.

    This game takes the prequel and multiples it by a hundred and it catches your attention in everything it also gas some aspects of the old game yet somehow they don’t feel repetitive and the new abilities just adds on the fun whenever u solve a puzzle your way it always feels good and makes you feel smart this game is a masterpiece

    This game took everything that Breath of the Wild had and expanded on it! It improved many things that Breath of the Wild failed to do or even did incredibly well. It deserves game of the year!

    A perfect sequel to BOTW

    Didnt think Nintendo could make a better game than BOTW but they did. They kept all the great mechanics of BOTW and expanded upon it and its world to make an even better Zelda game 10/10.

    This game is objectively a masterpiece.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If you played and enjoyed BotW, you will definitely enjoy Tears of the Kingdom. The puzzles that you can complete can be solved in many ways and if you solve it your way, it feels way more satisfying. The abilities such as Ultrahand, Fuse, Ascend ect. are super fun to play with. Wether you make a unique vehicle with Ultrahand, Fuse some powerful and cool looking weapons and shields or Acsend to new heights, I know even newcomers to the Legend of Zelda games will enjoy this game and get immediately hooked. I’ve got pretty much no problems with this game because of how much time Nintendo put into this game. It seems so weird that Nintendo only announced this game in 2019 and 4 years to make a sequel to game that changed the world of Open World games forever and make it such a banger. The story is really amazing as well! You start at the beginning only with a few things to work with, Ganondorf is set free to Hyrule to destroy it and cast it to eternal night and Zelda is transported to the past where she sees the founders and first King and Queen of Hyrule, King Rauru and Queen Sonia. As you traverse through the story you find geoglyphs that give you memories to make the plot of ToTK and more clear and more information about the past in King Rauru and Queen Sonia’s time. Did I even mention the final trailer they gave us?! It felt so amazing to watch. I was at the premiere on YouTube waiting desperately to see the final trailer and the wait was so worth it. The final trailer was pretty much the chef’s kiss to the game before it was out for purchase. So I continue playing this game giving it a solid 10/10 and hope for it to win so many rewards and hopefully Game Of The Year.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It took me a while to get into Breath of the Wild the way I had gotten into previous Legend of Zelda titles. However, Tears of the Kingdom really gripped me. I loved way it brought back some classic monsters and added new ones. I loved the return of Ganondorf. The little connections to classic Zelda lore sprinkled into this new formula. I loved the little Easter eggs for shippers, the way it eschews the timeline while honoring the series, the new abilities, the ways it encourages the cheesing rampant in BotW, the new puzzles, pretty much everything. Seeing this fandom more alive than ever is a great joy. The story made me so emotional, and the ending was triumphant, but I'm still coming back for hours long sessions. I adore this game, and I'm so excited to see how Zelda will continue to evolve.… Expand

    The good thing is that, thanks to the limited possibilities, the creators couldn't go crazy and swing for hundreds of game miles. Instead, they created what could be called Elden Ring in a travel pack. [Issue#328]

    The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
