    Big Block DLC adds two new modes to Tetris 99, which allows us to play either battle royale or marathon offline. But we still miss some more options and game modes.

    If you’re not a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber, I can only recommend this if you’re desperate for the Tetris 99 experience against computers. There are better, fuller Tetris games out there - even Puyo Puyo Tetris is a fuller experience (and comes with a whole lot more).

    This is great to practice Tetris at your own speed and playing offline. The gameplay is smoother that Puyo Puyo Tetris and it is significantly cheaper than Tetris Effect. It’s only $10 and the Tetris 99 main game was free. With this, you can take Tetris anywhere, and no cartridge. Seriously, what is there to complain about. You wanna get good? Play 999 line mode and practice those double and triple t spins. Learn builds from hard-drop. Perfect 4-wide. This is my favorite practice ground and also good for zoning out, dropping blocks while I listen to an audiobook. Money well spent. I was gonna give it an 8, and I usually don’t do this, but the low reviews don’t make sense to me at all. So, a 9 it is.… Expand

This DLC tries to address those comments, by adding two modes to the original online game: an offline battle royale against bots, and a more traditional "classic" mode for those times when you'd rather just play Tetris.

    Even though Big Block aims to add variety to Tetris 99, it's itself pretty slim in content. The offline battle royale allows you to select the level of difficulty, and that's it. The classic mode comes in just two flavours, that can be described as "hard" (complete 150 lines) and "crazy hard" (complete 999 lines). I'm sure that some people can complete the second challenge, but I cannot even come close. Then you can make things even harder by changing the initial speed, if you're on of those crazy people who need that.

    All in all, Big Block still feels a bit barebones. Its main reason to be is as a trainer for online matches, or as filler for those times when you want a Tetris fix and you don't have Internet access.

    All that being said, Tetris is still one of the best games ever created, so it's hard to argue against this DLC. Tetris 99 quickly became one of the main reasons to own a Nintendo Switch, and Big Block makes it a tad more compelling.    … Expand

Le mode BR contre les CPU vous permet de choisir différentes difficultés, les deux ou trois premiers sont faciles, mais le reste vous fera transpirer. Cela me fait me demander si je joue réellement contre de vrais adversaires avec le mode Tetris 99 standard. Les batailles CPU augmenteront votre niveau globale pour ensuite affronter de vrai joueurs. Les autres modes permet de sélectionner jouer pour réaliser 150 lignes ou 999 lignes. Avoir un but fait du bien et 150 lignes, c'est la quantité parfaite de folie pour les joueurs normaux, car 999 ligne vous aller y passer du temps. Cela dit, il n'y a rien d'éblouissant dans ce DLC, c'est très bien fait. Un mode classique digne de Tetris GameBoy.… Expand

The battle royale against CPU lets you pick different difficulties the first two or three are easy, but the rest will make you sweat. It makes me wonder if I'm actually playing against real opponents with the standard Tetris 99 mode. CPU battles will increase your score. The infinite lets you pick 150 lines or 999 lines. Having a goal feels great and 150 lines feels like the perfect amount of insanity for normal players.

    With all that said, I more or less paid $10 because I enjoyed Tetris 99. There is nothing dazzling about this DLC. It's still missing a mode B from the GameBoy version.    … Expand

    Be aware that despite the DLC claiming to have 2P it does not have a 2P mode, but a 2P + 97 CPUs.

    There is NO 2 player local play. You MUST have a second Nintendo Switch to play locally. OR you are forced to play against 97 CPUs whenThere is NO 2 player local play.
