Jan 11, 2019This is a masterpiece. If you ask me this is the greatest game Nintendo has ever made. The best 3D plat-former of all time. If you have a Switch and don't plan on getting this, sell the freaking Switch because this game is a must own.

Jan 10, 2019The BEST Mario game ever! It mixes elements of the classic Mario 2D platform games, Mario 64 and the 'magical' vibes of the new ones, like Galaxy.

Jan 5, 2019Super Mario Odyessey is like Super Mario World's sister and Super Mario Land's brother. With the epic experience that Super Mario World brought, the addition of kingdoms from Super Mario Land, along with more enemies, and the 3D feel of Super Mario 64, this is a true masterpiece.

Jan 4, 2019I personally have never liked 3D platformers and collectathons but SMO has the be the greatest one I've played yet. It has a ton of unique and very fantastic worlds that allow the most creative way of traversing the levels thanks to Cappy and helping you transform into the enemy's. This was a GOTY contender so you already now that this game is very high quality.

Dec 28, 2018We all remember Super Mario 64, right? (Okay, probably not EVERYONE) Well, in that game, you had 120 Stars to collect. In Super Mario Odyssey, however, you have a whopping 999 MOONS TO COLLECT! That's 879 more Moons! In this game, collecting them doesn't feel like a chore! (to me, at least) Super Mario Odyssey is truly the best Mario game of 2017.

Dec 25, 2018This game is brilliant. Mario moveset is bigger than ever. Every kingdom has a lot of detail and brilliant level design. The only bad thing is motion controls.

Dec 19, 2018My favourite game. It have enjoy it more than Breath of the Wilde. It a game to play to play hundreds of hours and many times. The playability is brilliant, it can't be better.
The history is corrent and is graphically nice. The main game lasts 16h but, but it last a hundred hours, ore more, to collect all the moons. -

Dec 13, 2018This game is amazing. I love the mechanics. Just like 64 and Sunshine, this game has amazing controls and moves that Mario can do. But, when you finish the game, there’s nothing much to do. You can get the moons, but there really isn’t any point for that.

Dec 9, 2018I’ve never been a big Mario fan but this game is a must own for anyone who just loves pure gaming joy. From the colorful graphics, well executed game design, to the sense of humor throughout the games many entertaining moments, this is everything you’d want in a console exclusive.

Dec 8, 2018A joy to play, experience, watch and listen; from start to finish!
A must play to anyone who owns a Switch. -
Dec 7, 2018Mario finally returns to his 3d open world sandbox wonderland. This game brings back childhood memories and is very nostalgic. The game's visually stunning looking like a next gen Mario game with incredible lighting, effects, the game runs at a buttery smooth 60fps which is a godsend for the game. Just buy the game I don't need to say anymore the game is a classic Nintendo masterpiece.
-
Dec 7, 2018Odyssey is pure joy. While not as emotionally deep as Galaxy, Odyssey is so absurdly fun. The worlds are deep and simplistic, while still maintaining a complex nature. The music is great, and the gameplay is better. Odyssey brings about that youth-like enthusiasm that we can't bring out in ourselves. Odyssey has a special whimsicality to it that will never be forgotten.
YOU CAN BE A GOOMBAS!!

Dec 3, 2024While it was difficult to imagine how Nintendo could top previous 3D Mario adventures, Super Mario Odyssey is nigh-on perfect in almost every way. With the help of Cappy, Mario has never been as fun to control, reaching new heights and, in the hands of a skilled player, accomplishing impossible skips. You need only pick up a controller to see why this is the best modern Mario game ever.
-
CD-ActionJan 10, 2018The best entry to the best platforming series is so ridiculously huge it’s like a theme park made of theme parks. It’s a wonderful tribute to Super Mario 64, but it’s not a lazy homage. Super Mario Odyssey draws inspiration from the superb classic to top it and everything that came after it. [13/2017, p.38]

Nintendo Force MagazineJan 7, 2018Perhaps no past Mario game has ever elicited so many smiles as this, and even if every other winning aspect of its design were set aside, that reality alone would make it a masterpiece. [Issue #31 – January/February 2018, p. 39E]
