Street Fighter Anniversary collection is a solid collection of some amazing games. I really like that you can view the history of Street Fighter and see concept art or learn about the characters and the fact you can every single version of the first four Street Fighter games (counting Alpha) is really cool. There are a lot of flaws with this collection though, Th UI is kind of ugly and its really off putting after a match and really takes you out of the experience. The training mode is very bare bones. These ports to the game aren't arcade accurate and have input lag. The online is also really bad so its better if you just stick to playing offline. If you want to play the best versions of 3rd Strike, Super Turbo etc, I would recommend just emulating the arcade version of the games. But if you want to play the old Street Fighter games for the first time, I would recommend buying this game, but if you're veteran Street Fighter player then I would skip this game. Expand

Capcom used the first arcade version of every game in the collection which is fine, but certain games have bugs or flaws that were fixed in later versions. Street fighter 2 turbo is borderline impossible even on the easiest difficulty because of this, and SF3 third strike has a few freeze glitches that occur when 2 very specific moves interact with each other. Over all this collection is alright but it doesn't go without flaws Expand

I'm sure you can agree that 12 classic fighters, including not one, not two, but four with online play, all for $40, is more than a fair match for your money. [Issue #34 – July/August 2018, p. 73]

All in all, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a must for fans of the series and those wishing to explore its roots. Even with some redundancy across titles and control hiccups, the overall package is stellar. It’s no small feat to pull off a true retro port of this size, and Digital Eclipse has done laudable job of it.

Your enjoyment with Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is going to mainly come down to whether your primary focus is online play. If so, then this isn't going to be your game due to the online play that is spotty at best and non-functional at worst. If not, then this package will definitely be for you, as you'll get 12 arcade-perfect games with gameplay that's still enjoyable today. With the Switch becoming a system that is getting some really good fighting games, this makes for a perfect addition to that genre library.
