My time with Starlink: Battle for Atlas was surprising, but that doesn’t mean that it was positive. It’s got lot of potential that goes unrealized since the story and quests are a wash and the toys-to-life aspect is DOA, but the ship mechanics are dead-on and it’s not hard to imagine how some retooling and editing could result in the best Star Fox game ever made. This Battle has been lost, but I believe that Ubisoft can ultimately win this war.

Before you know it, Starlink turns playing with toys into something that feels an awful lot like work.

Starlink is a great outing for folks of all ages. The toys are costly but well-made and great fun both in and out of game. Buy it.

Ubisoft's late-stage toys-to-life entry is pretty, derivative and slightly lacking in charm.

It’s not a starfigter game in the line of X-Wing or Colony Wars that I’ve longed for on modern consoles, but it’s fun, and it has potential. I just wish its controls were a bit more user-friendly.

I just wish there was more to do.

Starlink’s unique blend of planet-surface combat, open world exploring, and space opera story make for an extremely good time so far.

The game is kid friendly and feels well-tuned for that eight-to-12-year-old range. But if you’re a parent eyeing up new experiences for the holiday season, get ready to drop a lot of money on Starlink or run the risk of your budding little starfighter pilots losing interest fairly quickly. This game will be for you if 1) you like spaceships customization 2) well crafted space shooter gameplay 3) STARFOX! The story is simple enough that you can simply enjoy it, the controls are tight and well thought and the universe is so cool to explore. The fact that you can take this with you on the go is so amazing! A must buy. Full Review »

Muy divertido y la inclusión de fox fue un gran acierto, sin duda es un juego que engancha desde el primer momento.

Starlink is a very repetetive and expensive game. The story is just blant and the gameplay isn't great. Its just another 'saving the galaxyStarlink is a very repetetive and expensive game. The story is just blant and the gameplay isn't great. Its just another 'saving the galaxy tale'. The starfox story does make it up a bit, but its only 1.5 hours long. The soundtrack is alright at least for the starfox tracks, which are remix tracks from the orginal games. The voiceactors for Fox and his friends also do great jobs. However none of this make up for its flaws. Its great that you can design your own ships but the components are just to expensive. One ship costs about 30 euro's. It is possible to also own the ships digital, but that takes all the special out of the game. That's its biggest flaw. It doesn't anything new or outstanding for that matter. Asside from the graphics it feels like I am playing a 15 years old game. It just doesn't justify its pricetag. Its also a shame that ubisoft didn't advertise this game enough. Yes, ofcourse there were a few gameplay video's on youtube, but where are the demo's or the commercials? It feels like ubisoft just doesn't care and that is to bad. Full Review »
