Apr 4, 2023Saga of Sins is basically functional, so if you come in with realistic expectations you might have an okay time with it. But the good ideas here deserved better than to set up a game I can only damn with the praise of “basically functional". Cool visuals, some interesting mechanics, and at least the start of a cool story, but there isn’t much else here that really lifts this experience out of being absolutely middle-of-the-road.

Mar 29, 2023Saga of Sins' excellent stained-glass visuals are let down by a predictable plot and somewhat workaday gameplay. Hardcore action-platform fans will probably be disappointed, but it might serve as a gentle introduction for newcomers to the genre. There aren’t any glaring faults or issues, but it's a shame that it doesn’t do quite enough with its solid mind-jumping, demon-battling premise.

Jun 12, 2023All of this leads to Saga of Sins being a very short game. I’d say if the repetitive gameplay loop doesn’t get you down then finishing Saga of Sins within a few hours is completely possible. Which honestly is a shame as the concept here has more potential than has been realised. An exorcism game in which you battle the Seven Deadly Sins screams Persona at me, and yet as an avid Persona fan, I never felt any of the deadliness, rather just apathy although I suppose Sloth would be more appropriate here.
