The first Revelations is better than this one, but this is an average game that worth it a try. Some puzzles are just boring, and I didn't like that a single choice in the middle of game could change the ending so further. There is a good balance of chalenges and resources.

Good game, but unacceptable port! RE:R2 is NOT a technically demanding game, yet the frame-rate, which was more or less a rock solid 60fps on PS4 & XBOne, dwindles often below the 30fps mark, yet there is no clear evidence as to why the Switch couldn’t hit 60fps as well, this is hardly Metal Gear Solid 5 they are porting after all. Things in the original releases, such as aiming, were a breeze, and very fluid. Here however, aiming has become more imprecise as a result of the wobbly frame rate, which is as you can imagine, more than a little frustrating. Load times have also taken a turn for the worse too, waiting times for the campaign can last upto nearly 3 minutes. Nevertheless, the game is still enjoyable minus the jarring setbacks introduced on this port. The game features all the DLC content from the off-set, the campaign is exciting, and the Raid Mode is still an absolute blast to play. The portability factor is what you will predominately decide your purchase on obviously. Even though the port underdelivers on expectations, you are not going to be able to play this game to this level of quality anywhere else for the time being, as despite the critical words I have towards this port, it is still vastly superior to the PS Vita version. Overall, a great budget game, ported poorly to an (arguably) overpowered handheld. Hopefully Capcom will continue to support this version with patches for improvement to performance in the future. 5/10. Expand

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is a game that plays to all the fans of the more "classic" style of RE4, 5 and 6 and in doing so creates a game that is nice for a play through with some awesome classic characters and a few new additions. If you like the action games in the RE series, or just want to play using classic characters, it's recommended, but can't say that for everyone. Expand

While less impressive than its vastly superior predecessor, Revelations 2 still delivers enough fun puzzles and a decent story to keep the player entertained, even if the high chances of getting the bad ending are way too frustrating.

This entry in the series really portrays the clear identity crisis before Resident Evil 7. The enemies are far too aggressive and generic; which is really a step down from its 3ds predecessor. Innovation is overshadowed by annoying gameplay mechanics and occasional „Remember this?!!??“ moments. Gun play is servicable and story is a bit all over the place.

I played this on my switchlite and for a handheld pc game it looked great graphically and i had quality headsets and hence the sound added to the horror and scares. The gun gameplay is also good for a horror game.but the game felt a tad bit repetitive in some places

The game was a good story and finally giving us claire redfield as the main protaganist since I believe code veronica x , fan service for sure , but the story for me is where it lacks slightly, everything else tho is fine

Resident Evil Revelations 2 takes everything from the first game and improves upon it. Although I am torn between which location I prefer (Cruise Ship vs Island facility) I feel that this sequel has benefitted from being developed for consoles. The Revelations spinoff series has produced arguably two of the best Resident Evil games since Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube, and now we can finally experience them both together on a Nintendo console!

While Resident Evil Revelations 2 borrows sparingly from its contemporaries, it is better than it's budget would have you believe it to be. The story is just the right amount of schlock with a smaller yet more focused cast. The tension is actually present in a moody well realised setting. The overall game feel lends itself to a much more enjoyable experience when compared to its predecessor too. Add in a comprehensive (yet slightly grindy) Raid Mode and you've got yourself a winner.

    Really, it feels like shovelware.
