For starters, the campaign is nice step forward from the over-dramatic Revelations 1 and takes a step back into a much darker setting. The partner system has been balanced out now, so that they are there as "help" and not as someone to make the game easier. Combat is MUCH tighter than Resident Evil 6 and controls like RE 5 did. It still plays less like a survival horror game and still more action oriented.
   The story is a big improvement over the Rev 1 and adds a more diverse setting for each episode. As for the "bad guy", this one was kind of weak and was hoping for a potential revival for a certain major antagonist. The final boss was no where as challenging as Revelations 1's final. As for the monsters themselves, there is a decent variety and some real cheap ones. Overall the main story is pretty balanced and improves where the last few titles were falling behind at.
   
   What brings the score of this game to a 9 for me, is the raid mode. Which is a VAST improvement over the previous entry. Not only does the game give you the option to use characters from the title, there are almost all of the fan favorites included as unlockables. The also applies to the stages that can be unlocked. These feature settings from the main game, Resident Evil Revelations and practically all of the areas in RE6. All the while giving higher challenges, player skills and weapons from the three previously mentioned titles.
   
   Finally, there are the many unlockables, filters and modes to try, like time attack.
   
   As a fan since Resident Evil's original release, I thoroughly enjoy this game and still go back to it from time to time.… Expand

   RE Revelations 2 is an alright game. It is fun from start to finish. It has good ideas going for it, but some just land flat on there face.RE Revelations 2 is an alright game. It is fun from start to finish. It has good ideas going for it, but some just land flat on there face. Being player 2 sucks ass, you might as well not even play. You don't get weapons and you do nothing. Sure as Moira you can shine your light at enemies to blind them, but come on. If you plan on getting this game for multiplayer, don't. Other than that, this is a solid title in Resident Evil series because of it's survival horror elements (finally) and great pacing. RE Revelations 2 also has Raid mode return. If you want to play multiplayer, this is the place to go. Raid Mode is more fun than the main game. Overall, RE Revelations 2 is worth it on disk in a year or so when it becomes dirt cheap.… Expand

It has quite a few problems on the PlayStation 3 but the end result is still a true survival horror game with a good story and a dynamic cast, something that has been lacking in the franchise for ages. There are seemingly loads of plot holes during the ladder portion unfortunately. Controlling two characters at once is also something that feels truly unique. Just make sure you don't play in split screen co-op. It's absolutely terrible. Stick to controlling both characters in single player, as that's how it's meant to be played.… Expand

A falta do Co-op na campanha foi uma derrapada em cheio da Capcom. O jogo pode não ser tão bom quanto o primeiro Revelations, mas é bem superior à RE6.… Expand

   Gone are the incessant interruptions of the shocking short "episodic" levels and their associated cut-scenes in favor of larger sequenced levels, giving the game a more complete feel, despite the repetitive nature of the level usage (passing through each level twice between characters). It is more akin to RE5 in its layout.
   
   You're now able to switch between partner characters at will, giving you a significant advantage given the default AI character's near invulnerability and regenerative power, which is a bonus and a detriment, since what is the point of using the main character who is as fragile as glass and consumes ammo. Combined with perks that increase attack speed and damage for secondary weapons, it makes the game almost laughable. The AI is still dumb as bricks, but at least now you can mitigate that somewhat.
   
   Sadly the weapon upgrading has taken a nosedive. While it is the same as in the previous game, you don' find nearly as many upgrades, and the ones you do find are significantly weaker. I imagine there is a lot of secrets to uncover and find which might address this issue.
   
   Did I forgot to mention that you can actually run in this one? Gone is the sluggish trudge, and in its place is the option to dash, as well as evade. The controls are adequate and a superior improvement over the previous iteration.
   
   The plot fairs better as well. Gone are the Cthuluean horrors in favor of zombies of both the RE4/5 and RE1 flavors, tying into the two characters plots nicely. There's far less cheese in the story, and no giant orbiting death lasers. Everything about the story and setting, give the game a more cohesive, traditional survival horror feel.… Expand

If you are playing the campaign mode alone, it is an annoying experience. First, AI, like always, is awful, making your partner more a burden than a help, what he/she barely is. Second, most actions can be performed only by one character, so you must shift from one to another constantly, what is painfully boring. For example, in Episode 1, Claire is the one with guns, while only Moira can find hidden objects (bullets, herbs). Other annoying thing is how the game just throw zombies at you, without a clue or a way to avoid them. They come from windows, closed doors, fall from the sky, always by surprise (just like the classic scene where zombie dogs leap through the windows from the first RE). You have only two options then, fight or run. After a while it becomes tedious and repetitive. Concluding, just another crappy RE game.… Expand
