    A document found amongst the wreckage indicates they were transporting a prisoner who was wanted for murder: ex-lieutenant Billy Coen.Team leader Enrico tells everyone to split up to search the area.     Resident Evil Zero is one of the titles that tried experimenting with already good formulas, yet managed to get away with it and still be a great game. Not that lonely but still a strong survival horror experience, Resident Evil Zero is most probably the prettiest Resident Evil on the Switch that aged unbelievably well.

    Maybe it isn’t the best classic Resident Evil, but it still is very enjoyable. It works great on the Switch, so it is a good option if you feel like playing an old-school survival horror.

    Various factors accumulate to take the shine off Resident Evil 0 in comparison to the original game, but the Switch version showcases it at its best, and even though it doesn’t reach the heights of 1 or 2, it provides a shot of old-school Resident Evil for those who like that sort of thing. It looks great on Switch and the ability to play on-the-go helps alleviate some of the frustrations inherent to its old-fashioned systems. Overall, it’s very much more of the same, but if that’s what you’re after, Resident Evil 0 ticks the requisite boxes nicely.

    Resident Evil 0 remains a good game in the series. Even with your AI partner's occasional lapses in judgment, the dynamic makes the standard formula feel fresh, while the lack of chests can be either good or bad depending on your outlook. The stunted load times ruin the mood since they occur all the time. If you don't mind that and you want to own the game in a portable form, this port isn't all that bad.

    Resident Evil 0 was already widely considered one of the weakest traditional entries in the series, due to its meaningless story and tedious game design. There were so many possibilities that could have worked out so much better if some of its design got tweaked, and if Rebecca was a new and totally different character so the story wouldn't clash with the established canon. While it is an exceptional looking title, the ridiculously longer load times is a good way to ruin the mood to keep playing on top of the gameplay being inferior to older entries.

    Well...a several years ago I played this saga. In fact, RE0 was the first that I cant beated ever for the same reason..too much hard. NotWell...a several years ago I played this saga. Not because of enemies but the less ammunition, few space to storage weapons and the 2 players coop system that doesnt work as well.

I had heard how this prequel wasn't really that good but was at least a decent experience. It's not. Resident Evil 0 forgoes atmosphere and tact for streamlined locations that feel all too linear and an onslaught of aesthetically uninspired enemies that aren't balanced for how the controls work. Juggling items between the two characters is a hassle, and the lack of item boxes is especially cumbersome. The story is the greatest offender - a cheesy revenge plot that has almost nothing to do with the player characters. Other than unnecessary insight into how Rebecca Chambers makes it to the mansion, all the 'origin' stuff is presented to the player omnisciently and is jarringly detached from Rebecca and Billy's journey.… Expand

    1. Inventory: you only can carry 4-6 items. Some weapons need 2 boxes. Also you’ll have to juggle items between characters. It takes a lot of your gameplay time. Tedious! Very Bad design! Absolutely annoying!
    2. Loading times: take way too long (20 seconds..sometimes even 30) and happens each time you go to a new room. Doubling you’re gameplay time. Simply tiresome, boring and annoying. Couldn’t play for a long period of time. Had to put down the game. 3. The door opening/ stair/ladder sequence: very annoying each time you open door or go up a stair. It takes too long and visually is outdated 4. Character movement: very clumsy at best. Picking up items is a shore. Have to try many times .Very bad controls and mechanism. Bad design!
    5. AI: sometimes gets in the way. Can’t even get into the lifts correctly. 6. Camera angles: is a complete desastre. Sometimes you’re aiming to the wind cause you can’t see enemies. Exposing yourself to die.They’re off camera. Stupid idea of a design!!
    7. Puzzles: Are not well designed. Had to look for guide many times. Hit many invisible walls. For example,the math/code formula to stop the train was ridiculously ludicrous and. Nonsensical, illogical and irracional . How they came up with the math is baffling!! I got pretty bored running around in a clumsy and awkward environment. 8. Horror/survival formula: disappeared completely with all this annoying issues. The game became just another tiresome and shoring game. Loading times throws off the mood of the game !! I forced myself to finish it.
    9. Combat: is awfull, terrible. A mess. No auto aiming . It’s a clumsy mess. Is a joke. Targeting system is mediocre. You shoot to the air many times. Not good controls.
    10. Everything became a shore. Not fun or frightening. Just playing through automatically, not feeling anything besides annoyance. The worst thing is that this is a “remastered” version. Not a lot of effort from the devs. Don’t buy ! Buy the other RE ones!    … Expand
