    Aside of having a better story than the original, using a better rating system and minor aesthetics improvements here and there, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is a surprising downgrade from its predecessor in terms of gameplay and fluidity.

    While some people complain about it not being newbie-friendly, there are plenty of tutorial modules in the Practice Mode... even for cheesy strats that are    Aside of having a better story than the original, using a better rating system and minor aesthetics improvements here and there, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is a surprising downgrade from its predecessor in terms of gameplay and fluidity.

    While some people complain about it not being newbie-friendly, there are plenty of tutorial modules in the Practice Mode... even for cheesy strats that are widely known to be bad manners in online versus play. The other problem here is that they also made the game worse for competitive play, as they slowed down the movement of the pieces compared to the previous game. This might have been an attempt to balance Puyo Puyo versus Tetris games, but it consequently boosts the power of slow and cheesy combo strategies.

    While it is still early after release and the game could be readjusted, the Tetris Company has shown very little interest in what the fans want so I have little hope for a rebalance or significant quality of life fixes. This game clearly focuses on the Puyo Puyo community and leaves the Tetris community far behind.    … Expand

    Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is not a bad game. Compared to the previous work, it was seen that the balance was not right, but the new skill battle was interesting. But the biggest problem with this game is that it rejects newbies. There is no separate tutorial, and adventure mode becomes very difficult as you go back. The description of the new skill battle is poor. It's true that Puyo Puyo andPuyo Puyo Tetris 2 is not a bad game.     Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is a very fun game indeed, it’s packed with content and has a lot to offer, but as you progress further in some modes the difficulty just makes it too hard for me to actually enjoy. The AI in Puyo Puyo mode always has some formation set for them to use to instakill me if I don’t do something fast enough, and overall the difficulty can really mask up the fun in this game.Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is a very fun game indeed, it’s packed with content and has a lot to offer, but as you progress further in some modes the difficulty just makes it too hard for me to actually enjoy.     So, I came into this game as a solid Tetris 99 player and a newbie at Puyo Puyo. I got half way through story mode, at which point Tetris had been very easy and Puyo Puyo had been a good challenge but was now becoming difficult. This was somewhat expected, although I thought I might get a little farther before Puyo Puyo became so difficult. I enjoyed this first half of the game andSo, I came into this game as a solid Tetris 99 player and a newbie at Puyo Puyo. I got half way through story mode, at which point Tetris had been very easy and Puyo Puyo had been a good challenge but was now becoming difficult. This was somewhat expected, although I thought I might get a little farther before Puyo Puyo became so difficult. I enjoyed this first half of the game and decided to try out another of the various game modes I saw in the menu. So, I switched to online play for Tetris only, something I was looking forward to. Online play for Tetris does not run smooth. I may go back to finish story mode or play other game modes but I can’t go higher than this with the disappointing online Tetris.… Expand
