Oct 18, 2017Is it better than its Wii U sibling? No doubt. But “better” doesn’t make the DX version automatically “good” - especially since some of the flaws on Wii U like the redundant solo campaign or the still unbalanced fighting squad are not ironed out. At least you get a little more content and improved multiplayer capabilities.

Oct 4, 2017Pokkén DX Tournament has very few bells & whistles to make you pay for this Switch version. Five more Pokémons, 3v3 combat ans a better online mode won't be enough to make this Wii U game look new.
-
Sep 29, 2017Pokkén Tournament DX is a fun fighting game that is easy to get in to. The core gameplay is more about flashy attacks than finesse, but there is still plenty of room for tactics. All in all, Pokkén Tournament DX is a good addition to the Switch library. Just do not expect many changes from the Wii U version, since it is essentially the same game.
-
Sep 26, 2017As much as a good game the Wii U version was, Pokkén Tournament DX is a disappointing, lazy porting which adds very little content and looks somewhat worse than it was a generation ago.
-
Sep 25, 2017Pokken Tournament is a very solid game. It has well refined mechanics that create a fun battling experience.
-
Sep 25, 2017The story is a bit dull, featuring a “mysterious Pokemon” that really isn’t that mysterious, even to casual fans like myself.
-
Sep 19, 2017If you have played this game on Wii U, you will not find too many new things. The addition of new characters however, are awesome if you want to play this game in a competition.
-
Sep 18, 2017Pokkén Tournament DX is an enjoyable fighter that provides plenty of fan-service for hardcore and casual fans of the beloved franchise. It’s also a surprisingly deep experience, now equipped with more fighters and stages than ever before on Nintendo Switch. While the solo campaign isn’t what it could have been, Pokkén Tournament DX makes up for this shortcoming with excellent local multiplayer and an impressive suite of online offerings.
-
Sep 18, 2017Pokken Tournament DX brings the popular Pokemon/Tekken mashup to the Switch with new fighters and support characters, making this a true deluxe version of the hit fighting game.
-
Sep 18, 2017Pokken is a fighting game that while decent could do with understanding that complexity doesn’t necessarily equal depth.

Sep 18, 2017If you’ve never owned Pokken Tournament before it’s a fun if simplistic fighting game which will be perfect for playing on the move. If you have the Wii U version though and still play it, the addition of a couple of extra characters and a few new features don’t really amount to enough to justify a double-dip: unless you’re specifically looking for a handheld version, you might be fine sticking with the one you have.
